I just wanted to brag that I walked to the local pie shop (Petsi) and got a mini-cherry pie.  Smaller than the size of my palm, and totally delicious.  I don't care what price I have to pay, it was worth it.  Not binging, not emotional eating, just celebrating Spring.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

I didn't know that either. Mine is always about 96 when I go to the doc. I just thought it was my cold black heart cooling my blood. :d

:D

I have always wondered if a lower body temp correlates to a slower metabolism.  I mean, it kind of makes sense.

Although I heat up fast when working out.  I'm always beet red and sweaty...

Well I actually had a Dr appt today. For a change I actually like the Dr (my old Dr went to Africa so they assigned me a new one) and he is attractive to top it off. I chatted with him about my allergies (reason for my visit) and potential asthma. He suggested I try the nasal spray and if the allergy meds don't fix my breathing issues he will prescribe an inhaler. He doesn't want to send me for asthma testing necessarily because he suggested that it was a bad thing to have on your charts if you ever want to switch insurance. I didnt mention anything thyroid because I am tired of getting the "you are crazy" looks. Maybe next time I will attempt it.

Are you getting nasonex? That is the best stuff ever. I take a shot of that every morning, a claritin every night, and use an inhaler before working out. I feel better than I have in 2 years, I swear. Except for the oak pollen-related sore throat I have right now. But the oak is so out of control that nothing short of a hazmat suit would keep me from having symptoms.

It is flonase. I am certain it will help...but if it doesnt solve the breathing problems completely i will go for the inhaler. I have used the nasal spray before about 6 years ago and it worked great but I stopped taking it and gradually the allergies came back.

I cant use the OTC drugs because they all screw with me and make me feel all zombie-like.

I use omnaris, except right now you can't get it (factory problem, I guess) so I'm using some other nasal spray right now.  It definitely helps.

I had breathing issues yesterday when I ran outside, much like I did when I ran outside last week.  I need to bust out the inhaler my doc gave me.  I filled the RX, I just haven't ever used it.  I couldn't stop coughing/wheezing when I got done with my run yesterday.  GAH.

I cough whenever it is cold or I am working hard but I really only wheeze badly when I am having an allergy attack (like when a dog is around).

My throat feels like someone is dragging a rake across it. I'm debating whether or not to go to the gym tonight.  :sigh:

years ago when my allergies were really bad it was flonase + singulair + claritin, that trifecta was the key.

Maybe you are coming down with a cold?

I've wondered about that, but my throat has been scratchy since Sunday with no real improvement and not really getting any worse, either. It's just annoying enough to be noticeably painful, but not so bad that I think I've got strep or something. And if it were a cold, it would have knocked my on my ass already.

I made ceaser salad tonight. 12 points but it was so damn good! And I still have extra points because I skipped breakfast today.

{{debba's raw throat}}

Claratin alone seems to be keeping the worst of the allergies under control right now, but the trees are just starting to bloom.

Today I am wearing the world's largest size 5-6 skirt.  It's not even vaguely tight. I know it's gross size inflation, but my size 8-10 ass loves it.  It's too warm, even in the office, for a jacket so I'm grunging around in a t-shirt.  It might brush 80 degrees today - whoa!

Skipped breakfast???? Don't do that on a regular basis! The furnace needs fuel to burn.

I am about ready to wear sandals. The only thing stopping me is the bare leg thing. The other day I wore footless tights under a summer weight skirt with flats and no socks.
I saw some footless tights in Target yesterday....but didn't pick them up. That might be the answer though because I can't deal with panty hose.
Yeah, I look like I am trying to be a 30 something. Ask me if I give a shit :D

Urgh. Still throat stuff - no better, no worse. It has to be allergies. The trees are exploding all over the place. Oh, and did I mention I'm supposed to be doing a 10K this weekend? Excellent. There was no way I was going to be able to run the whole thing anyway, but good Lord, I'll be lucky if I can crawl it now. DAMMIT.

Maybe I'll see if I can get out for a shuffle tonight and see how I feel.

Waffles and smoothie for breakfast. Usual for lunch. Pasta and tomato/tomato sauce (homemade) tonight. Yogurt and veggies for a snack.

I'm up about half a pound from last week, but my period finally decided to show up (THANK. GOD.), so really, half a pound isn't too shabby.

'Scuse me, I'm off for some DFW.

So, looking ahead and I think I'm going to take most of the month of april (plus next week off). It's just too hard for me to be disciplined when I'm on the road. I am leaving on friday night for the usvi for a week. I come back late saturday night. Then, I get on a plane early tuesday AM for ohio, returning late on friday. Then, home for a week and then fly out to NY for a sun-fri trip.

Yes, I know I could work really extra super hard to stay on plan... but I'm not going to. It really is just too hard and I'm not ready to tackle it just yet. I'll just pick up where I leftoff in may.
