Scale is still up this morning. Apparently I'm going to have to have a chat with my hormones about self-sabotage and weight loss. I'm frustrated because I was finally seeing tiny, incremental progress, and now I'm right back where I was. Like I said yesterday - doooooooooooooooomed. *sigh*

In-laws come tomorrow. 10K on Sunday. I'm going to have to get up at 5 next week and work out religiously - we inevitably eat like crap when they come to visit. :mad2:

Off to get some DFW!

Good luck today, everyone!

Scale up a half-pound from yesterday, but that's less of a correction than I expected and still leaves me on track to come close to meeting March goal.

Am constantly checking my reflection in any reflective surface. And digging what I see. I am becoming a total narcissist!  I seem to swing between thinking I'm a total porker and seeing the new slimmer me.

Ok this week is going to be hard. First we are driving down to our wedding location to taste cake at three different bakeries. Yummy but not so ww friendly.  We also want to eat at the bbq place we hired for the wedding as I haven't actually eaten there in years. Hopefully I saved enough extra points.

But then we are driving down to LA for the week because I have a statistics workshop. Pray that they don't have yummy snacks and that I can make good choices eating out all week.

BBQ meat in and of itself isn't that bad, points-wise. It's the sides that'll kill ya.

Well, last weigh in before vacation and I was down 3+lbs. It's just water though- I had a hellish day yesterday and wasn't good about eating or drinking (except for coffee), so i'm certain it's a dehydration #.

Meri, good luck with our #'s can't wait to hear the verdict.
Mini- you've been rocking this and have the results to show for it! Up days happen and down days happen- hally's right, it's the trend that matters and you continue to trend downward.
OAW- good luck on your visit with your mama.
MM- ugh, I hate that.
L, L, and D- welcome back!

i am eating a yummy lunch of brown rice and seitan. I think RA mentioned seitan to me, i rarely eat it, but our little natural food store carries a locally made seitan that is to die for and i saw it there the other day (it is not always in stock) and it is soooooo good.

We are heading up to the mountains to the casino town for the night, to celebrate my birthday (Monday)...  then tomorrow night, I have a girls' night at my friend's house.

So um, it's not gonna be pretty.  But I'm not going to spend the weekend worried about calories.  I'm going to enjoy myself, work on not eating to excess, and drink a bit.  I'll also be working out, but a reasonable amount.

Caito, throw those shorts away!!  There is no reason to keep them.  I hate that feeling...  I wore something to yoga the other day and spent the entire time more focused on whether my tummy was poking out than on the poses.   :nono:  Fuck that noise.   :fiery:

I barely managed to squeeze my run in today... I had to take both dogs to the vet for a check-up during kids' nap time.  Then when I started running on the TM, about 10 minutes in David woke up.  Luckily he entertained himself for awhile, of course he tried his best to wake up Rachel.  I got a quick 4 miles in, so I'm happy.  I did push-ups, but no abs.  I've been munching really great oranges with the kids all day...they are addicted to them.  And, yesterday's pound cake turned out great.

I had considered doing a 5K tomorrow, but it is supposed to be raining... so, umm,  :nono:.

Great job, Bolloxd!

Pasta with roasted tomatoes and ricotta-salata tonight. SO yummy. Except I think Reid is moving his play kitchen around, so I need to go check on that now.

Courtney, happy birthday!!!

debba, that sounds delicious!  we had couscous, meatballs (ground turkey for them, pre-made eggplant version for me) and wild mushrooms

but...not enough running this week b/c of meetings.  on the other hand, we closed on our refi today which was nice.

It was delicious - and super easy. Just takes time to cut up all the little tomatoes. :)

oooh i used to take the most killer kickboxing classes  in boston. enjoy! i bought a groupon to learn rock climbing, eek! i will call the dr this morning and check if any results are in. i am not  happy at my weight and was 10lbs lighter last year and 20lbs lighter before getting pregnant, i do not think i am being unreasonable in my weight goals. Even 20lbs lighter does not put me underweight or close to it for my height.

Oh I definitely don't think your goals are unreasonable for you. But your body may have other plans. I think of my weight like a rubberband. I can temporarily get lower than a certain number that always seems to get me stuck, but it always seems to snap back to that weight my body thinks is "right." (Which is at the higher end of the weight range for my height.) I've never ever been able to get down to the lower end. I think running and working out AND being veggie just means I will always be a little bit bigger than my brain wants. It sounds corny, but when I'm annoyed about my thighs that are bigger than I wish they were, I try to be grateful at how strong they are to carry me through my runs. (Yeah, I know.. corny!) I really hope that you find out what is going on soon!

I did not work out today at all for the second day in a row! :( I was planning on getting up for Jillian this morning (and possibly running after work) but I didn't set the right alarm and slept through the time I would have needed to get up for that. Then, I was just so exhausted this afternoon that I came straight home, had dinner and took a 3hr nap.  :-\ My sister and I are supposed to go to kickboxing again tomorrow morning, but she's asleep so I can't confirm with her. I need to make up my missed Jillian workout, too. And, we've got a 2:00 appt at a bridal shop to look for a brides maid dress. Should be fun!

Debba- don't stress about the visitors! Just do your thing. You really are in control of what you order, no matter what the others are eating. Don't feel you have to eat crap just bc they are!! :)

bolluxd- I hear you on not running in the rain! The past several races I've signed up for (and run- including a half marathon!) have been rainy!!! It's like some weird curse lately. I'm over it. No fun. Enjoy sleeping in! ;)

Courtney- have fun! Happy birthday!!

{{Meri}} Chub rub is a fact of life for me.  No amount of weight loss means my thighs don't touch.

Last night I chose the best possible premenstrual task: putting away winter clothes and getting out spring/summer clothes.

And last night I chose the worst possible premenstrual task: trying on my old skinny summer clothes.

The bad news is they're still too tight.  The good news is they go on and zip.  So my goal of 10-20 more pounds will take me to fitting them very comfortably.  Woo hoo!

yeah for summer skinny clothes!

prior to getting pregnant, i never had chub rub and wore shorts all the time, but since then, it is capris or compression shorts. i hate it. i have an entire huge closet of work clothes that do not fit and i have a dresser full of running clothes that do not fit.  :argh:

oh yeah, gonna call the dr now....

Woot! The scale was down this morning!!! Only .3, but still. Down! I'll take it!

Lanarkshire, thanks for the support. I know I'm in charge of what I eat. The problem is that my very picky, very set in his ways FIL has certain restaurants he "has" to go to when they visit, and they don't have very good choices, so it's one of those things where I have to get a not great choice as opposed to a terrible choice, if that makes sense. One day or night like that wouldn't be a big deal, but a week adds up.

Getting up at 5 and working out is going to be my best defense, I think. :P

That reminds me, I need to look at the menu for tonight and see what I should get. Olive Garden. FFS.  :eye roll:

Mini, I hear you on the chub rub. Oh, do I hear you. Oof. Hate it. I haven't let it keep me away from shorts, though - it's just too hot here in the summers to not wear shorts.
