I made our leftover meatloaf from Saturday into meatloaf casserole. It actually wasn't too bad points wise because I had made healthy meatloaf with tons of veggies in it and lean meat (turkey and beef). It was yummy! It was about 7 points per serving.

Has she never head of a smoothie!?

But smoothies are sweet!

My brother broke his jaw in December, and had it wired shut.  He got really, really sick of milkshakes and smoothies and Ensure.  He ate a lot of pureed chicken soup and drank whole milk by the gallon.

I am most likely getting my tonsils out at the end of April.  I'm only sort of kidding that it's my pre-wedding weight loss plan!  The seamstress that is altering my wedding dress wants me to bring it in at the beginning of May so she can let it out.  I'm worried that I'll lose a ton of weight, get it fitted, and then regain most of it when I start eating again.  This is concerning.

When I had my tummy tuck I ate maybe 3 bites per meal for over a week. I didn't lose a friggin ounce.  >:(

Mouse, take some decongestants before getting on the plane.  A long plane ride with a cold is miserable!  But it will be pleasant resting up poolside!

Meri, best wishes for speedy bloodwork.

RA, did you ride out the cravings?  Was there a reason - stress, hormones?

I was exhausted last night and skipped my zumba and went to sleep around nine.  But was so busy yesterday I burned as many calories as I would have on a normal day with zumba, so I didn't miss much.

Holding steady weight-wise.  Am wearing a pretty dress with daisies on it in honor of Spring (with a denim jacket over it because it's New England Spring).  Ariat sandals to complete the look.  I am feeling good!

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

She's an awful, awful human being.

I tend to trust Mini on these issues
Mini is so smart!

I didn't weigh today. I seem to have lost momentum. That's ok, I leave fri for st John and then all bets are off.

I ended up making myself an idiet dessert- 10 g bittersweet chocolate melted to coat 1/4 cup fiber cereal. I mixed that into .5 cup 2% fage And topped the whole thing with sliced strawberries and light whipped cream. Other than over doing it a bit with the whip- it was not too bad diet wise. Light whipped cream is 15 cals per tbs so I don't worry tooooooo much about it.

Good luck today meri!

today was just ok. DH brought home locally made ice cream and him and DD (who i told him i did not want to eat dairy!!!) ate two bowls each. I had two tastes, and that was it. It was beyond delicious. Tomorrow is the bloodwork, god willingly, and i cannot get the results fast enough. Gotta also make my appt at the midwife for my annual. I just could not bring myself to eat a salad for lunch today.

Meri, what are you having evaluated and what do you think you might see?

Thanks everyone! 14 blood tests was about 10 viles, i feel really awful now, not sure if i should exercise today, maybe just some strength training? Maybe i will feel better in an hour or so. Work out time is around 11:30. I went to the better lab and they took me right back, no one was waiting,

everything! basic blood tests for things like iron, zinc, vit D, and then a lot of thyroid tests and metabolic tests. My friend who is an RD and nutritionist had a long chat with me and thinks based on some symptoms and family history that i may have some insulin resistance and wanted to check the thyroid stuff since a lot of women have thyroid issues post baby, even though i had tests done post partum, i think it was just T3, this was several thyroid tests including thyroid antibodies, etc.

RA, you are good.  When I have a mega craving night I generally cave.  And I did have one last night in fact (hormonal) and didn't do too badly -- a mini granola bar (courtesy of DD's snack stash) and 2 Hershey's kisses.

I really need to decide what kind of plan I want to follow because when I fail to plan...

Laurlita, sorry you're sick.  I hope the cold and the rainy weather blow over quickly!

Did she have b12 tested? I was thinking about this the other day. I struggle with b12 a lot, even though I'm mindful of it and even though I'm not a vegan (and eat lots of dairy and eggs).

I do know that some people are symptomatic of thyroid issues within the normal range. Have you ever tried a test round of medications to see if it helped?

i really am not sure if that was on the list, i should have copied the paperwork. I think that was one she mentioned because i know we had a whole talk about nutritional yeast :D

I think I may bring that up with my dr if the tests are all negative. Is that something drs would do? I have asked to be tested for thyroid issues so many times throughout my life with no results showing anything but normal. My body temperature is really low and that was always a sign, imo, that the thyroid was low (my friend agrees).

I've been experimenting with spirulina as a b12 supp. I have a history of just straight b12 supplements not doing anything for me. I used to get IM shots and then after i had one normal blood test, my dr cut me off. I need to get it tested again.

I have read online about people bullying their dr's into letting them try a round of hypothyroid medications "just to see". You might have to beg.

It will be interesting. I think the b12 test has to be handled specially. I think they have to do a black vial or something like that. It all comes down to bioavailability though, you know? I have no idea what the bioavail of yeast vs spirulina is though.

Is that a thyroid symptom?  Mine is always low as well, and I've wondered if that was odd or what.

yes, my friend the RD, who has pretty crazy thyroid stuff, Hashimotos, etc, said that is a big symptom and to take your basal body temp upon waking, in bed, to see what it reads. I can never do that with the kid.

Did my strength training TRX workout for the first time, i may not move tomorrow, LOL. off to Ikea before work! eeeek!

I don't even own a thermometer!!  :D

I was wondering if you had tried the TRX yet!!

I tried that and was sent away with a "you are healthy" and a look like I was nuts but I have an HMO so that may play a role.

I didn't know that either. Mine is always about 96 when I go to the doc. I just thought it was my cold black heart cooling my blood. :d
