Holy shit, I just looked at the info on the Olive Garden. I'll be getting linguine with marinara. Everything else is outrageous. Holy shit.

That's good to know, at least - thanks Ice Cream. It's still something like 12 points, which is nuts for pasta and marinara, but everything else is at least 18.  :nono:

our anniversary is Wed and MIL sent us a huge harry and david package. Luckily DH devours most of it before i even see it, but i did get my hand into the moose munch, omg!

Good luck Debba at Olive Garden, this is one reason why we never eat out.

Olive Garden...   I haven't been in so long.  I'm guessing the kids unruliness has affected my weight loss too, since we don't eat out nearly as much as we used to.

So, today has been weird for me.  Oatmeal for breakfast then we took the kids to story time.  I have been feeling odd lately... tired & worn out and really wanting/needing naps the last few days.  My lower back has been hurting - my usual endometriosis type pain.  And today I've been very dizzy on & off, just spaced out really.  I've got a whole 'nother week till that TOM so it shouldn't really be hormone related.  Then I have the whole infertility issues floating around in my brain.

As an aside - I don't know anything about the Hunger Games movie, but it has been on the news lately because it was filmed very locally.  I don't know what scenes it is in, but there is a small mill-house village that has been run down for awhile.  My grandma lived in one of those houses while her dad worked at the mill.  I remember they were doing 'something' around that little village awhile back because it was on our way into town and we'd get stopped to make sure we actually lived in the area.  DH & I always said it would be a fantastic movie set - I guess someone else thought so too.  The mill & houses have a for sale sign up now - I guess the owner wants some big bucks now that a movie has been filmed there.

they filmed one of the last M Night movies in the next town and all the roads were closed, etc. It was really funny to see the movie with all the local spots on it!

I am super duper crampy today. I went to a bday party w DD and ate 1/2 piece of pizza, no cake.

What about the salad? Get the dressing on the side. Not so fun as pasta, but still better. And you don't have to eat all of the pasta, right? Just get it and divide your plate in half. Eat only that half (ie 6 points...) I would even ask for less pasta to begin with.

Of course, not that I've been virtuous tonight. We went bridesmaid dress shopping today. Oof. Exhausting! We ended up going out for dinner at a tapas place... battered and fried green beans, grilled artichoke hearts (amAzing!), truffle oil fries, 2 fried goat cheese balls and a mini empanada with acorn squash and manchego. And a skinny margarita.  :-[ It was small, though, and honestly not even that good! I would have preferred wine or sangria. Damn. Luckily everything was small portions, so I'm full, but not stuffed. It was nice to have a decent meal, though!

yeah for summer skinny clothes!

prior to getting pregnant, i never had chub rub and wore shorts all the time, but since then, it is capris or compression shorts. i hate it. i have an entire huge closet of work clothes that do not fit and i have a dresser full of running clothes that do not fit.  :argh:

oh yeah, gonna call the dr now....

Maybe the pregnancy and hormones changed where you carry weight? I know that my tummy tuck definately caused me to now gain more weight in my legs and arms than I would have otherwise.

Ok WW was this morning and we went even though we are out of town. I was down 1.8 which I am happy about but it really seemed like their scale was calibrated differently than the one at our place. Whatever...weight loss is weight loss so I am not going to bitch. Antag only lost 0.6 so I get to hold that over his head.  :d We ran before and didnt eat before so I honestly thought we both would have been lower.

We went cake tasting today...supposed to be 2 places but one place was apparently run by idiots who thought that my email saying I was from out of town, only coming in for one weekend and would need to decide this weekend meant that I wanted to sit down and look at pictures and not taste the damn cakes so we walked out. The second place was really good but somehow a cupcake and a half totally overloaded me on sugar and I still feel a bit shitty. My eating is ok. I havent made the healthiest choices ever. We had BBQ last night at the place that we are using for our wedding so not super healthy but we shared one meal so that made it better. Today I had half of a hamburger and half of a tri tip salad for lunch. Again not the healthiest choice but at least we shared. Hopefully I can cool it when we get to LA. Being here in my old college town for the weekend makes me want to eat at all my favorite college places.

oh my weight is for sure distributed differently, but i am 20lbs above my pre pregnancy weight, so that may have something to do with it  :grr: :sigh: :eyeroll:

I had the points for the pasta, so I had the linguine marinara. It was fine - not bad, but not spectacular. Skipped the breadsticks (:() and had a little bit of salad. Had a glass of wine, too. Ended up 5 points above for today altogether, so not too bad. Thanks, everyone - this thread really helped. Almost everyone else at the table got the capellini pomodoro, which you'd think would be fine, right? But thanks to y'all, I looked at the menu and nutrition info in advance, and knew that that "good" capellini?

IS TWENTY-ONE POINTS.

No, thanks! Linguine marinara for me!

Oh my goodness, debba.  It's very rare that we go to Olive Garden, but when we do I order the cappelini pomodoro.  I had no idea!

So, my friends got me this birthday cake...  and I don't even like cake.  And HOLY SHIT this stuff is good.  White chocolate raspberry, with what has to be cream cheese frosting.

Good lord.

We had a great buffet last night at the casino, and we definitely overate...  but we weren't hungry until 2 pm today, so I guess it could be worse.  :D

Once my birthday stuff is done (the big day is actually Monday, but I appreciate all the wishes  :heartbeat:), I'm just going to saddle back up on the WW wagon.  I'm not counting points this weekend, or stressing about it.  It's a weird feeling to not have guilt associated with eating.

Yay Diablita!

Good choices Debba!   That's what pays off.

Scale did not move this morning - lazy rainy day, went out for breakfast.  Only ate half, may feed the other half to the chickens.  Going to the Hunger Games this afternoon, may share a small popcorn with DH.

Keep that Birthday mojo going Courtney!   Celebrate!

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

She's an awful, awful human being.

OMFG, I am SO tired right now. Good news - I'm capable of doing the next day in my C25K app. Bad news - I'm not capable of doing much more than that. We probably ran a total of 2 miles during the race this morning and then walked the rest. It was effing HOT out. Beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky, but HOT for a race that didn't start until 9. I was well-hydrated and my fingers still swelled up so much that it was hard to bend them.

I'm totally fine - no worries about dehydration or anything - had plenty of fluids before during and after the race.

Total time - 1 hr, 34 min. Oof. I'll take it, though.

It took so long to get a table at lunch that Reid didn't nap at all today. My in-laws drive me nuts, but God bless 'em for taking Reid to the park when we got home so DH and I could shower and nap.

And my post-race margaritas were fucking FABULOUS. As was my burger and fries. And even with all that food and alcohol in me, the scale is down over a pound this afternoon.
