I had a bit of thai curry (2 bites of chicken and some of the sauce), some steamed veggies and about 1/4 cup of rice. I have no idea how many points thai curry is but I cannot imagine I went over the 12 points I had left. I also ran 5 miles. They have really awesome treadmills at this hotel. They have a ton of features (you can choose if you look at the normal screen, a track, a mountain, or a 5K loop, it has a virtual personal trainer, and attached TVs). I want this treadmill at home! For lunch I was really careful and had panera veggie soup and a garden salad. I sure hope I manage not to gain weight this week.

you are doing well, MM. Curries are usually made with coconut milk, which is not as bad as like Indian food which is often made with heavy cream, clarified butter, etc. eating out is so hard.

i have not weighed myself today. I have a race this weekend, and once i recover, back to the grind. I will eat what i want afterwards, but half the time i am so nauseous that that plan is not always fun, haha.

You'd think that, having given up binges for Lent, I'd be down a ton of weight. I mean, I gave up soda, Reeses's mini cups, skittles, whatchamacalits, doritos, reese's pieces, heath bars... pretty much every candy bar imaginable. And y'all, when I say binges, I mean it. Gave them up for Lent. I've had one dessert on date night with DH, one piece of birthday cake for a kid's birthday, and will do something similar this week for DH's birthday and another kid's birthday.

Yeah. I've dropped 2 pounds. Thanks, Jesus!

{{Debba}}  You're living right, that's what counts and what will eventually bring the rest of the weight off.  I keep telling myself that.

YAY MM!

After posting last night, I brushed my teeth to convince myself that eating was over for the day.  It worked, thank  :fsm:

Thanks, Mini. Psychologically I feel better - I don't spend half the day hating myself for binging, but really, you'd think I'd have dropped a bit more. :eyeroll:

We went out for DH's birthday last night, but I only had a spinach salad with grilled chicken and avocado, and I skipped most of the walnuts. Scale was down a bit this morning - I'll take it. Likely BBQ tonight - the sides are the killer there. We'll see how it goes.

I've also managed to refrain from smacking my FIL, which is truly a miracle.

So I am in this all day long stats seminar all week. I looked around yesterday and for some reason get the need to conclude that I am the biggest person in the room. I am but why do I care? Why do I do this to myself?

 I'd do the same thing, MM, and not understand why, either. I mean, we're not competing with them, so why do we do that to ourselves? I honestly don't understand, but I do it, too.

  MM

It is the Umstead 100, my 5th Umstead100, so i gotta finish to get my 500 milestone at this race.

I stopped at Sports Authority on my way into work to see if there were any cute clothes (i got the cutest yoga top that i could wear to work!!!) and boy oh boy does my ass look HUGE and cottage cheesy in those mirrors. I never go shopping, let alone look at my whole, mostly naked, body in the mirror. I look much better clothed :D

And my last bloodtest, the Vit D test came back great.

I do this all the time.  I am constantly evaluating and comparing.  Stop it!  You're doing great, and are on track to be at your target well before the wedding.

I just had a yummy room service veggie (spinach, mushroom, and tomato) and egg white fritatta for breakfast. It sure beats the instant oatmeal I had the last 2 days.

when we got to Vegas for Badwater last year i was so starving beyond belief that i ordered, at the westin, an egg white omelette. it was the most delicious thing i had ever eaten at that moment and time and worth every penny of the $27 :D :D :D DH was so upset with how much it cost, but i would have paid twice that at the moment :D

Speaking of comparing yourself, one of my Sparkfriends just announced that she's lost 200 pounds - and is still heavier than I ever was.  Sobering to think when we're beating ourselves up for being fat, there are plenty of people out there who are working hard, tracking every scrap of food that goes into their mouths, getting regular exercise and have been doing so for years -- and are still morbidly obese.

I really need to remember that when I'm annoyed at myself for having more cheese than I should, or irritated the scale isn't moving fast enough.

I do the same thing.  It's out of control right now.  I need to make an appointment with my therapist pronto.  I wish I had advice for you.

I am in the same position.

The funny thing is I went to the treadmill last night to run and outlasted everyone else who came into the gym (5 people) so I know I am not a lazy bum.
