Thanks! Diablita, it was the Capitol 10K here in Austin. Incredibly hilly course. :nono:

It sounds like you did a great job considering.

I'm happy with it. Of course I'd have been happier with more running, a better time, less heat, fewer people (it's a huge race), whatever. But when I woke up this morning, I was as ready as I was going to be and the rest of it was out of my control. And honestly, even in the years when I've been better-trained, I've still clocked in around 1:15, so really, an extra 15 minutes wasn't too shabby. I'll take it.

I've barely broken an hour for a 10K, even at my fittest, so 1:34 walk/running seems pretty darned good to me.   YAY Debba!

Still would like to lose 2 lbs by the end of the month.  Haven't lost any of my period bloat, so maybe that will help.

Happy Birthday Courtney!

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

I hate it when I know something's not right and the bloodwork looks fine.  I want evidence!  I want answers! I want an easy solution.

Tell DH to man up and get snipped.

doooode! I wish he would. We had a whole talk about it last week and he was like, you should have your tubes tied, it is easier. I was like, um, you know NOTHING about medical procedures because it is a very serious surgery, like the c section and a V is like an outpatient procedure. ARGH! MEN! I do not want to finally say no more kids, but i am 99% sure. Unless we won the lottery or something.

Wait, what? It's EASIER for you to get your tubes tied?? WTF? Does he not know where your tubes even are?

I'm sorry that the blood work didn't provide answers. I'm like Mini - I hate that when I know something's off, but nothing shows up on the tests.

And Mini, thanks. I was pretty happy with the time, actually. I'm exhausted today - slept like crap last night. Scale was up a bit, but I think that's sore muscles and a bit of dehydration to go with my margaritas and cheeseburger/fries, so I'm not too worried. I'm also sunburned. Awesome.

Um, he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about, if he thinks abdominal surgery under general anesthesia is easier than an outpatient procedure with a local and a bag of frozen peas. And if he thinks it would be easier on him for YOU to have surgery, remind him that he'd have to handle all your usual chores while you were recovering.

My cousin's husband got snipped a few years ago, when their youngest (a surprise) was a few years old. What he told us (me and DH) at the time was, "I've watched my wife give birth 3 times. The least I can do is sit around for a weekend with a bag of frozen peas on my lap."

I think DH would do it after a second kid. Same logic - it's the least he can do. Plus, if he doesn't want more kids, then it makes sense.

This. And point out that you did YOUR part- having the f'ing baby and carrying it for 9 months!!! It's the least he can do!  :argh: Sorry you didn't get more answers from the bloodwork. :(

Yay debba on the 10k! I meant to ask yesterday!

I am sooooo tired today. Got to bed later than planned (nearly 11) and was up at 4am this morning so I could do the Jillian workout and then drive to the gym near work, run and shower then come to work. I need a nap. I'm going to give blood in a few minutes, so that's why I ran early. Plus it's too f'ing hot after work now. 80s in March is too high. I dread summer. Anyway, I was happy that the scale is down another pound this week! I'm finally below where I started in the wlc (after somehow gaining 4lbs over 2 weeks of Christmas and Stuart visiting! I didn't eat THAT much!) I'm tweaking my calorie allowance to see if I can get by with less. I'm hungry in the evenings, though. Goal is to lose another 12lbs by Aug for the wedding and beach honeymoon!

you gotta see it now that you had your trip :D

LankyL-- (thats my new nickname for you). to be fair, i only carried the baby 8 months :D But seriously. I had a c section, OMG! it was horrible and traumatizing and long recovery. is a V even covered by insurance? they have that essure thing, where they implant the stuff in your tubes to block them, but yeah, i dunno about that.....
