RA, I think you've developed a lot of discipline and habits that will serve you well on your trip and throughout April, so I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that you're in really good shape come May - probably MUCH better shape than you think you will be.

Skipped breakfast???? Don't do that on a regular basis! The furnace needs fuel to burn.

I don't usually. Yesterday I just had a banana because I had just run and I wasn't hungry.

Banana's are good, better then nothing and in my opinion if you are going to skip a meal way better then other fruit.

So i met wtih my therapist this morning and i really brought up some of my body image issues, it was good to discuss it with him. i had mentioned body image issues in the past in passing years ago, but i started seeing him when i was pregnant, so it was really not an issue then, i felt fine pregnant. waiting on the results, hopefully soon, i keep checking my phone.

Debba - hope you feel better soon...scratchy throats are just annoying.
Meri - glad you had a good discussion today.
hally - I say go ahead and wear the sandals!  Get some amazingly cute shoes and no-one will notice the bare legs thing.
RA - enjoy yourself and the time off.  I've relaxed my eating a bit and have been able to maintain.  Even when I want to let totally lose, the habits from the WLC have stuck with me.
Mouse - if you're checking in here.  Have a fabulous time!

Well, it has been a full week since I last ran.  Really pathetic excuses.  But today I ran 4.5 miles and felt great.  I also did my push-ups and abs.  It's been a while since I was able to get it all together.  I had to lay down and nap immediately afterwards....which is odd.  Somedays I feel revved up after a workout but others I am so drained and tired.

Food has been pretty good today too.  Not sure what to have for dinner.  The fridge needs a good clean out.

Good job, Bolloxd! I'm just worn out right now. Hormones, allergies, not sleeping well, blerg. I just want to go to bed.

So somehow I need to find my mojo back :sigh: I was just getting so frustrated with feeling like I was trying so hard and not seeing any improvement that I just said screw it :-[ Although if I'm truly honest with myself, I can see where I haven't been truly committed in a while.  On the one hand I keep using the excuse that I just can't seem to lose weight while I'm breastfeeding but on the other i just need to get my ass in gear and eat right and get my butt up to exercise.

So, any ideas for helping me make that happen? I really just need to commit to getting up at 5 and getting some sort of workout in; the problem comes in that K loves to nurse sometime around then and if I go later, it throws off the routine for getting me and the boys ready for work and school.  I also need to find an accountability partner who can give me lots of tough love with emphasis on the tough!

Ever tried WW? I find it super motivating but I have to commit to going to the meetings. It doesn't work for me online.

Maybe we should start a new weight loss challenge in here.

I stepped on a scale and am down 4.2 pounds from Sunday's weigh in. Now I wasn't wearing clothing (like I obviously do at WW) and I just finished running so I was dehydrated but still I hope a couple of them actually stick.

10K?  Yay Debba!   I wish!

Weighed in preposterously low (-3 from yesterday), I must have been holding my gut up with my hand or something.  Still, it made me optimistic that if I don't meet my end of March goal next week, it should be fairly soon in April.

I wish the weather could hold out for the weekend, but it looks like we're headed back into normal Spring temps.  Had the windows open all night last night, and walked the dog in shorts this morning.

All week I've been showing off my pasty white legs in skirts and sandals.  And ya gotta do bare legs if you ever want them to get a bit of sun.

I have to tighten up my diet again.  For the past few weeks I've been less vigilant because I've just been so hungry and running so much.  But it suddenly started feeling like it was catching up with me this week.    And then last night I had a grabbed a pair of shorts I haven't worn in a while to wear at the gym, and damn I forgot how unflattering they are.   So I felt fat and uncomfortable during my workout, which was no good.   Those shorts are going right back to the back of the drawer!   Ugh.    At least the warm weather makes me crave salad...

I haven't dropped any weight in a few weeks.  But my clothes are fitting more loosely & my friends (unsolicited) said I look tiny.

It always works this way for me.  Drop pounds without a size change, physically shrink, then alternate. I don't get it, but whatever.

Thanks, Mini - please note, I'll be walking the vast majority of it. The VAST majority of it. I am in no shape to run a 10K, much less this one, which is almost all hills and starts at 9 AM.  :panic:

Did okay last night. Scale was up this morning, which just depresses me, even though I know a fair amount is hormones (I hate my period), and a lot is sodium. Ain't no way I ate enough to gain 2 pounds, not even since Saturday (my weigh-in day), much less overnight. I'm really fighting that whole "I'm never going to break through past this number so why even keep trying" feeling.  :sigh:

AS - I'm really struggling with the 5 AM thing, too.

I'm in bare legs today, not sandals though, I didn't like the way the dark polish looked with them. Need to get that changed next week.

WW Weigh in same as last week. *sigh* I have 96 activity points this week, used 68 of them and 0 weekly. I only use them the day I earn them, guess I need to try to stay within the 49 extra points no matter whether they are activity or weekly. They tell you to "use those weekly points and earn those AP's " but truth told I do better not using all of the WP's and none of the AP's. Damn annoying but it's a work in progress. Trying to stop the negative thoughts.
Oh well, maybe next week I will have a loss.

I got new running shoes woohooo! Been a few years, I wasn't running much.
Been running nearly every morning during the week for a few months, ordered a new pair and like I said it's been so long I ordered the wrong size!
Luckily, I have the boardwalk to try them out on and realized they were too short. I go up half a size, sent them back to runningwarehouse.com for the right size.

Today I am browsing sandals on DSW. They have 35% off and free shipping if you spend $149 or something. Maybe I will just go there after work :)

I'll probably cheer you guys from the sidelines this time since there will be several weeks I won't be able to check in (no scale on the road). Who's gonna run this bad boy?
