I did my life insurance physical six months pregnant!
Can you request not to be weighed? I do.
My doctor doesn't make patients get on the scale. In her experience, too many women skip physicals because they don't want to get weighed, so she takes that piece out.
Question:I keep hearing that it's almost impossible to burn fat while your insulin levels are peaked. (as in, directly after a meal)It sounds true, is it?Like this line of thinking:http://drritamarie.com/blog/2012/04/25/hypoglycemia-and-the-myth-of-eating-frequent-small-meals/
It sounds really pseudosciency to me. This chick is a chiropracture and acupuncturist... that's where I stop reading. She cites "recent research" but doesn't actually point to any of this recent research...etc.
I've been hearing about it over and over and over again. That was just the first site that came up on a google search.http://www.livestrong.com/article/425097-insulin-lipolysis/
The funny thing is, I salt a lot at the table* and it doesn't seem to have that effect at all...so restaurant food must have a TON. Yikes.
I think leptin is an emerging area of research. So...I lost 35 lbs eating 6 small meals a day. I still think a lot comes down to eating fewer calories...
