did you define junkfood? SF hot chocolate is another "something sweet" you could do.

Oh, another one she has in the book is a pear with 2tsp of caramel sauce (and maybe some light whipped cream?). I haven't tried this one, but I bet it would be good. I bet it would also be good with an apple.

Yeah, that's where I'm running into problems. I really gave it up to help me stop with the binges. In that case, "junk food" includes, but is not necessarily limited to Skittles, Reese's Pieces, Whatchamacalits, Doritos, ice cream, Reese's Mini PB Cups, and soda. Should also probably include fast food, not that I eat much of it, but just a little triggers problems.

Hot chocolate is a good idea. Not sure on which side of the line something like whipped cream should fall.

I will say that I have zero self control. So anything that involves me saying I can't have junkfood means I crave it until my craving breaks me.

That's why I gave it up for Lent. I'm not terribly observant when it comes to religion, but I *do* take this one more seriously. It seems like asking for trouble to make a promise like that and then break it willy-nilly just because I want to.

That chocolate/cereal thing sounds awesome, but I would totally binge on it and not be able to stop until the fiber cereal caused a rupture.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

Happy Herbivore also has a single serving brownie recipe and a website/blog called chocolate covered Kate has a lot of single serve recipes, most have been pretty good, in a low fat type of way :D

Yep. Or, I'd put "a little" chocolate on it, while tricking myself into thinking that "a little" is really like 10 chocolate bars worth or something.

oh and Badwater (atleast so far, its only been two days) is a good motivator. I ate a big bowl of steamed broccoli after my run and thought it was delicious and ran faster than normal!

:fiery:  dude! i am sooooo angry. I came home to eat dinner and DH had made home made fries. They were on the baking sheet and i gobbled many up. Well, afterwards, i was like, wow, these taste so good for baked fries, how did you make them? well, he FRIED them before baking them. They did not seem greasy to me. I am so sick over that. I did sooooo awesome today. I was so mad at him and he thought it was kinda funny. I was like, why didn't you tell me??? he KNOWS I would never have eaten them.  :-[

No. It was a little thing of honey-banana yogurt and a handful of cherry tomatoes. Weird, but I wanted to get both in.

Ugh.  I hate having my freaking period, it wreaks havoc on my self control and desire to eat healthfully.  I went to the grocery store intent on buying just eggs, milk, and Diet Coke and I walked out with a bag of Oreos and also a 2# brick of cheese.   :nono:

On the upside, I did not talk myself out of going to the gym, and did 15 minutes more on the elliptical than I had planned.

How old will you be Seattlegirl??

I'll be turning 34.  I can't believe it.  I don't know how time is flying by like this!!

SG- what's on tap for your b'day?

Stuff I shouldn't talk about in this thread.  :D  There will be beer and fries involved.  I'll also make sure we get in a really long walk with the doggies.   :doglick:  But I'm really looking forward to the beer and fries part.

34 is a baby!  I'm going to be 51 in June!!!

Ok.. I haven't posted much due to being super busy at work and also plateuing on the weight loss. I've been diligently doing my workouts and logging my food.. I have not been super perfect with my food, but I've been good.. My splurges involved breakfast out with stuffed french toast.  I guess the good part of ordering that was no homefries or bacon came with it so probably a good choice. In additional to my regular workouts, I took two spin classes this week. On weds I did a double. The trainer for my biggest loser group has really pushed us since we are 10 days away from the end and close to 2nd place right now.  So . weigh in today, after 2-3 weeks of maintaining was down 3 lbs.. woo hoo.. that is 11 all together since I started on January 9th.. so not quite 7 weeks.  I'm happy with that, but more importantly I feel good and I feel toned up, especially more in my abs..

My trainer wants to keep the group together for training after the contest is over.. if we all sign up, she has worked at a deal for 18.00 per hour for the 6 off us. It's a little more expensive then the regular small group training, which is 15.00 or 16 I think, but it would be a closed group, so no one else could sign up, which is great since we are all around the same age and all female.. I'm probably the most fit of the group and could maybe use something a little more challenging but I prefer not to be in a group of al 20-30 somethings so I think I will continue this once a week and then pick something else up on another day.

Y'all are so young!   I wish I had your youthful metabolism.

I've weighed the same for three days-exactly the same, not even a tenth of a pound different.  That's astonishing, considering how my weight bounces around day-to-day.  I'd like to lose 2 pounds by the end of the month, but that's only next Thursday so I might not make it.  Even 1 would be nice, though.

I'm starting a new 90-day Ready for Summer plan March 1.  No real change in what I'm doing, just adding a bit of time pressure to keep me from slacking and snacking.  Though i am toying with the idea of actually (gasp) running.  I'm skeered of injury, though so I'm approaching the very cautiously.

One of the motivations is a beach vacation at the beginning of May.  EEEK!!!   I am not bathingsuit ready!

If I play my cards right, I'll be within 10 pounds of my goal weight by June 1.  :rah:

Welcome Mom of Scooby!  It sounds like that group has done you a lot of good, it sound well worth the money to keep going with it.
