That sounds good nadra!

I had another cup of the braised cabbage with two fried eggs and a slice of ww toast for a breakfast & lunch combo. It was very yummy and filling. DH gave my blue eggs the  :skep: but kept his thoughts to himself.  :d

Had a wonderful day.  I'm already ahead of my March 1 goal, so I'm feeling content.  We had a fun time hiking, and despite a cold wind there were many signs of Spring.  There were geese on the lake, and very happy moss in the pond.

OMG, it was the longest. day. ever. for me. We (me and my parents) took Reid and his cousin to the rodeo. It was fun, but my parents have no concept of keeping Reid and W on any kind of schedule, so by the time we finished at the rodeo, got lunch, got home, and I was able to get him down for a nap, it was an hour later than he normally goes down and he was hysterical. :nono: I was ready to strangle my parents and/or hit a gas station on the way home and eat my way up the interstate, but I didn't.

I did okay - Reid is staying with my parents for a few days so he and his cousin can spend some time together, so DH and I had a date night. Planned indulgence. Mmmmm. Delicious.

Courtney, I'd love to know more about those resources. And I want to write a thoughtful, coherent post in response to what you said, but I've had half a bottle of wine, so I'm going to save thoughtful coherence for tomorrow.

Got 4 miles in today, plus abs & push ups.  I have been eating so much homemade bread (rolls and loaves) lately, along with olive tapenade, homemade pizza, soup, ice cream....probably more over the last day or so I've forgotten about.  Lots of cooking has been going on so DH is happy.

I've been having issues getting my butt to bed early at night.  Like now, I should be in bed but there is mindless tv on and I'm just too tired to get up....maybe since the kids are getting in bed later I'm missing that extra time to myself in the evening.  Poor excuse really.

nadra - the yogurt sounds yummy!
deb- delayed/disrupted naps are rough on everyone.  I feel your pain.
Mini - yay for being ahead on the March goal!
RA - at least your DH has learned to keep his mouth shut about your food.  :D
meri - 20 miles?!  That's awesome!  Especially after being left on your own.

Good morning all.  4 good miles this morning.  I've signed up for a 5k in March with a friend as motivation and its working!  Haven't weighed myself yet, so not sure how much ground I lost.  Healthy eating today, yogurt, spinach smoothie, not sure about dinner yet.   :preen:

All the blueberries and mangoes I've been eating this weekend are giving me the squirts.   :(  Good thing they're almost gone so my digestive tract can get back to normal.

DH is starting a new work schedule today, 10pm - 6 am.  It will be a weird transition week.

Morning everyone  :luvcoffee:
Yesterday was good overall. Step class was awesome, got set up on how to do my binding on the quilt and then cleaned house for Sunday dinner. I managed to stay reasonable with portion sizes etc, but was still pretty full when I went to bed.

Today my plan is to eat only what I bring to work...a green salad, left over brown and wild rice pilaf, and an apple w pb. I will head up for my morning run before work in a few minutes. I am getting my hair trimmed tonight after work. yay.
When I made my appt I was thinking I really didn't need one yet, and then all last week it became apparent that my appointment was not a moment too soon!

Still eating clean, just not burning enough calories..  Got to get back to some consistency.

Mouse; Usually the day I have a hair appt is the day my hair looks the best.
Yuck on the 10-6 Mini :(
RA, salt, period, or you were dehydrated and are now hydrated. Do not let the scale ruin your day.

Wow Courtney, some list.
I'd like a condensed version, I am too busy doing fun stuff in my free time to sit and analyze why I pig out :)

I didn't get home from a Geocaching adventure till 9:30 and stayed up till the end of the Oscars, so didn't manage my 5:30 AM wake up today.
No biggie, I allow myself at least one day off a week.

Heh, if I read some of them, I'll share!

Today I have a good plan for eating, including a snack after my workout, before I go to Walmart.  Which is important, otherwise I will come home with enough Easter Candy to kill us both.

I have a short 30 min planned, followed by my personal trainer session today.  Wednesday is spin & yoga.  I need to work in 2 more runs and one more weight session.

I have started logging my calories again today. I just can't figure out why things aren't going my way. In aggregate, it doesn't seem like my splurges should be enough to stick me at this weight for going on 3 weeks now. The good news is that I don't particularly feel tempted to "cheat" because the food is genearlly satisfying enough.

But, I'm getting on a plane to st john at the end of march. I'd really hoped to be in a new decade by then. Doesn't look likely to happen now.  :'(

RA, logging is a great idea. EVERYTHING gets logged, even the little bites that don't count. What you eat in private shows in public.
And good for you sticking with it. That is our big downfall. We set goals and if we don't reach them in the time we allotted we give up.
WE are in too much of a hurry. I think that our bodies know best. Even though I didn't lose for a lot of weeks, people started saying I looked thinner, they could see it in my face. I think maybe our bodies are readjusting to the loss, redistributing.

I just added to my log the 9 biscotti (4 cookies = 125 calories).  I was just going to have one.  Then I decided it would taste better with coffee.  The the coffee was a bit lonely after the first cookie was eaten.  I went back to the box 4 times, each time swearing it was the last.  It's sitting about 8 feet away from me, laughing.

Every day has new challenges.  Sigh.

The scale this morning was back down to where I was before I slipped last week. Yay, progress! Now I just have to keep things moving that direction. I'm trying to think of good non-food rewards for 5-lb losses. Pedicures are all I've been able to come up with.

Courtney, thanks for that list!

I like the bag idea best! :D

Massage will probably be for my first mini-goal. Workout clothes are a necessity, not a reward, to me, at least. The other ideas are good, too. Shoes would be another good one for a mini-goal.
