Oh, at the moment it's because I thought I was going to have to run to Target at lunch (I decided I'd rather read my book), which meant (in my head) that I was going to get candy (in addition to the hair stuff I need, which is the REAL reason to go), so that got me craving sweets. DH forgot to put a spoon in my lunch, so I can't eat my yogurt, which normally helps with that craving. I do have some clementines in my bag - I'll munch on those here in a bit, I think.

And sometimes, yeah, it is an honest to God, IMUSTHAVEPEANUTBUTTER craving.

Well that visit to the Dr with the kids turned out worse than expected.  They are both fine and healthy but David cried then entire 1.5 hours....over every little thing possible.  He also wrestled with me and the Dr through the check up.  Thank goodness Rachel was cooperative for the most part.

R was up and in our bed awake for about 2 hours last night so DH and I were both tired from little sleep.

All that plus my small dinner last night and no breakfast made it a tough day.  Will push my running to tomorrow instead.

An hour and a half for a checkup?  :yikes: I'd cry, too! Poor David. And poor Bolloxd and Mr. Bolloxd.

I totally hear ya on the PB craving :D

And isn't it amazing how old habits (getting candy at target) get so ingrained?  That it's the first thing we think about when we are going to do that thing (go to target).

I have been putting off a trip to target/walmart for that same reason.  We are going to run out of toilet paper soon, tho, so it's gotta happen!

Off day for me today, long day on site.  But still trying for healthy.  Yogurt breakfast, salad lunch, dinner will be roasted vegetables over couscous.  I thought I had some curry sauce in the freezer but it turned out to be some sort of soup, I think, so DH will probably add something creative since he's in charge of assembly tonight.  They're not fixing the water line to the fridge here so I have a serious lack of ice and filtered water going on which makes the whole DFW even more trying for me.

Yeah, that's precisely the habit I'm trying to break - the I'm going to Target for hair stuff and somehow I walk out with hair stuff, a giant bag of Skittles, something chocolate-related, a soda, and possibly chips.  :nono:

Target is evil, especially their selection of dark chocolate.  With all sorts of neat stuff inside.

:D

I'm actually going to pick up a bar of dark choclate with sea salt (seriously, this shit is delicious) to bring to work to share with my boss.  Dark chocolate is far less binge-inducing for me than milk chocolate for some reason.  I reallllllly love this dark chocolate/sea salt stuff, tho.

Sorry!!  I really meant it to be reassuring.  Like it's hard to binge on this stuff....

As an unrelated note, I rejoined WW, since it's really a preferred way (for me) of keeping track of stuff.  I'm going to try a recipe for Orange Chicken this week, from WW/Hungry Girl.  It looks pretty good, and we frickin' LOVE Orange Chicken from Panda Express.  I'm going to pair it with stir fry veggies and maybe some rice for DH (I hate rice).

New weight loss plan: chances are good that I'm going to have to get my tonsils out soon.  That should be good for a few lbs of weight loss!   :!:  :P

Oh shit!!

If it were me, I'd be the only person in the world to gain weight in that instance from the ice cream I'd eat.  :D

I've opted not to go to target.  I don't feel a ton of confidence about not leaving there with 2 lbs of jelly beans and 14 reese's easter eggs.

Yes.. In the i diet book they recommend it over milk chocolate.. The bitter taste of it doesn't leave you craving more.. yet is satisfies the urge.. I melt a few squares over fiber cereal and eat it as a dessert and yet I don't find myself craving more when I do that.

DH and DD bought a bag of cookies made at a non profit place down the road. trying REALLY hard to not eat them. I made banana "froyo" for dessert and mixed in some choc soy milk and cocoa powder, it was really good. I felt like i had a pretty good day, even though i ate DD's bread's crust :D how can i resist? she was throwing it out! the crust is the best part!! (crusty french bread)

I know for me the grocery store/target is a total minefield when I am trying to lose weight, way too many chances to make a bad choice.  This time of year is horrible with all of the pretty pastel chocolaty yumminess.  I have started ordering my groceries online, I don't think I always get the sale price, but I get exactly what I need and nothing more.  You can order toilet paper on amazon!

Those damn pastel chocolates and bright colored jelly beans are like crack to me.  I can't resist them in the store, or once they are in my hot little hands.

A trip to target today was not in the books.  Instead I ate a good snack, and came home and sewed.  I finished up an order and then cooked a healthy dinner.  Spaghetti.  Mmmmm.  I need to go to the grocery store and/or target at some point soon, to get some fresh produce (& toilet paper!), so we'll see how that goes.

I was in Target earlier today, picked up a bag of Starburst jelly beans.  Then I remembered the last time I got some they were not as good as expected so I put them back....but wow they've got such pretty chocolate and candy in that store!  I wound up with no candy because DH was waiting with the kids in the car.

Wholewheat pasta with lemon-pepper zuchinni for dinner.  It was good but I'm still hungry...gonna try to get an early-for-me night to avoid eating junk food.

Well, I started out well - good breakfast, planned AM snack, good lunch... then things got busy and I couldn't have my PM snack, so I came home starving and ate too much.   :fiery:

Tomorrow is another day.
