Great stuff here today! It is interesting to explore what is behind the eating.

Mini- the celebrations has been a key thing for me. Between the "I deserve it" and "a little of this won't hurt" and "aww fuckit, I'll do better tomorrow" I was eating indulgent meals as much as 2-3 meals a day 3-5 days a week.

Yesterday was an "aw fuck it" day. I knew I wasn't going to have much control over what I was eating or when, so decided to just go with the flow. I had a big smoothie for breakfast that was 7oz of 2% fage, 1/4 cup of oat bran, 1 Tbs spirulina, 1 banana, a cup of water, a handful each of blueberries & raspberries and 4 big handfuls of spinach. This comes in at about 330 calories so is about breakfast and morning snack- it kept me full until lunch.

Lunch we went to a pub and I got the hummus plate. I did eat all of the pita but left a lot of hummus, cheese, and olives on my plate. It was a least a cup of hummus though- huge! Oh and a big porter.

Dinner my brother made spaghetti and I had two slices of bread, probably 1.5 cups of spaghetti and plenty of cheese. My brother did a little beer tasting before dinner out of his special stash- so that was fun.

I've decided to make tacos tonight.

dare i ask what cherry M&Ms are?  :sneaking:

No, really you don't.  They're special for v-day.

Ice Cream, I burn 1500 if I'm sick in bed. Normal day but no exercise about 1800.  With my regular exercise regime, 2300-2500.  A big hike or bike ride,  3000.

MIni....your hikes sound awesome yet grueling!  How do you like the body bug?? Is it easy to program?

No programming at all.  Just strap on you arm at all times except swimming or bathing and upload once a day.  Complete no-brainer.

Mouse-- i find out Wed or Thursday  :panic: I am afraid if i do not get in (v high likelihood) i will have a mega binge. But preparing myself and also confident about getting back on the wagon Monday, not that i have been off, per se, but that i have not been 100% and have been sneaking little snacks here and there and ate some of the V Day cake.

I have to eat around 1000-1200 cals/day to lose weight, and that is with exercise. To maintain my weight, I have to keep it closer to 1400-1500 cals/day.

I am quite jealous of Mouse's class.  It sounds painfully fun.

All of you calorie counters are so dedicated.  I really could not handle all of that extra info taking up brain space.

So the twins are rebelling today and skipped nap time entirely.  I am exhausted.  Their nap is my recharge time and DH has been no help at all..unless 6 hours of video games count as help. Grrr.  At least they should go to bed early.

I will not even mention food.  Blah.

Ugh, Reid's had days like that where he randomly doesn't nap. Sucks. Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. And I can't put him to bed too early, because then it screws up the next day, too. My sympathies, Bolloxd and Meri.

Food yesterday was an indulgence, but a yummy one - we had lunch at one of my favorite burger places. I haven't wiped out all my points for the week, and the scale didn't move too far in the wrong direction, so I'm good with it.

Now, to just get up tomorrow and run...

Found a good BBQ strategy:  DH orders ribs, I order collard greens.  I have one of his ribs (how biblical!) and eat the collards.  Both of us go home full and happy, with leftovers.  I probably shouldn't have indulged in hush puppies, but I only ate 3.  Maintained the same weight all weekend, still 1 pound from major goal.

That's a good strategy, Mini! DH, bless his heart, offered to split a burger with me yesterday. I told him hell no. I appreciated the thought, but the one greasy delicious burger I'm going to have this month is MINE, ALL MINE.

Still, he was sweet to offer.

MIni...good planning on eating out. I wish I could say I was as smart. I ate off plan again yesterday. I had a thin crust sicilian pizza (the whole thing) for lunch, and then last night I had a homemade biscuit and a chocolate chip cookie.  The pizza was the "bad idea".  :)  The worst thing about the plizza was al the sodium!! :yikes:

Deb..that was sweet of him, I would have done the same. (oh wait...I did...yesterday!) It sounds like you are feeling better..has the crud finally cleared up in your sinuses?  Go run!

Bolloxed..I am really glad I signed up for the class. If I quit sabotaging myself I think it will really show results. Next time, tell DH it is time for him to take over.  6 hours?!

I hope that RA had a good Sunday. I saw some cool trapeze photos on FB...so I am eager to hear about that. Merigayle..I sure hope DD feels better and you can get your routine back. Seattle girl how was your Sunday?

I am planning a run this morning with the DH and dogs. Dewey is laying on the bed with me right now and is awfully snuggly so getting out of bed will hard. Then I am heading to Joann's fabric to pick up a few things, the boys see their vet (Hank gets his adequan shot (for arthritis) and Dewey a blood draw for his dental cleaning on Friday.) I am going to focus on light meals today, and no cheating.  Have a good day!

Mouse, the crud is mostly gone. There's still a bit of congestion and some sinus pain/pressure, but I think that's allergies at this point, as opposed to leftover infection. Makes my teeth feel like they're rattling, though.  :o

I slept like crap last night, which is why I didn't get up this morning. Tomorrow is another day!

Sunday was a funny day food wise... I just wasn't hungry after two big meals sat so dinner was my only meal of the day. I ended up making a taco/burrito bar for dinner. Everyone else skipped lunch so everything got devoured. Not hungry this am. Will have breakfast later, if I am. Lunch & snacks pac

Packed and ready to go. Lots of taco lentils left so might make a taco wrap for dinner.

Hmmm, was going to have my usual for lunch, but DH just emailed and suggested we meet at a Thai place near here. That sounds way better than a PB&J.

I've had pretty good success in thai restaurants if I skip my "usual" and go for something that is heavy on the veggies, in a light sauce, and skip the rice & noodles.

I got something that was chicken, veggies, and brown rice in a spicy red sauce. Pad Plick Khing. Super yummy.

It was delicious, and helped clear out my sinuses a little, too!

Sounds like the weekend was interesting - glad you survived it. The taco bar sounds like it was a winner!
