Good for you for sticking with it despite not seeing a lot of additional movement on the scale. It sounds like this program is really working for you! It takes a while for your body to catch up with that intial loss. I bet you are due for another big drop any day. Plus, you know, with all of the work you're putting in your building muscle at the same time. Are they taking other measurements so you can continue to see progress while the scale is lying to you?

Yes, the only part that we outside of the margin of error (my own made up margin of error, 1/2") was my stomach, down 3 inches, which I thought kicked ass if I do say so myself.

Diving back in midstream... down about 4lbs this month.

What I eat isn't the problem... how much I eat and what I wash it down with on the other hand....  :(

join us! we're like an ongoing WLC.

You and my dh are in the same boat. He has flickers of doing something about it but quickly falls off the wagon. He typically controls his weight with excercise and a groin injury prevents him from doing just about anything... so... he's on the gain program right now. I am biting my tongue.

Thank you.  I've had a couple days that I've fallen off the wagon, but I'm trying to learn that it does not have to lead to a month long binge and I can just move on.

Yep, tk, I hear ya on that one!

I've GOT to figure something more reasonable out for the nights dd has tennis. I usually go straight from the park & ride to picking her up to dropping her off at tennis. Then I run errand for the 90 minute duration. Ut runs right into diner so im always super hungry. Every week I say I'm going to do something different and then I don't.

Does DD need to eat after tennis still?  What do you typically do now?

Yep, she eats after tennis. Well, she has a snack when she gets home and dh usually makes the two of them dinner while I am with her at tennis. Usually I just suffer in hunger and think of all the naughty things I shouldn't eat. Sometimes I buy things like sugar free gum. Tonight I bought a (nasty!) 100 calorie protein shake- and that helped a little. Then, when I get home I either eat dinner, or I'm over it by then so I skip dinner. Tonigh I had the 100 calorie shake, a sample sized piece of a brownie, and a cracker with a bit of cheese smeared on it. When I got home I made a salad of cuke, peppers, and green onions with a bit of ranch dressing and had a taco lentil wrap. I'm feeling pretty full but have been craving desert all day so I might make myself some kind of i-diet desserty thing.

When she's making her snack to eat before you pick her up, can she make one for you, too, to bring along in the car?

My current problem is that I haven't had time to have my snacks at work, so I'm starving at lunch and dinner time.  I'm not sure how to remedy this.  I have things that are ready to eat, like fruit and string cheese.  Some days just turn out to be crazy, though, and it's not like I can eat during surgery!

Can you try and bulk up breakfast and lunch?

Sorry... this might get a touch long. My working theory is that this diet runs us pretty close to the line on glycogen. I've noticed that when I'm hungry, I'm HUNGRY. It sneaks up on me and then I am knaw-your-arm-off-raging-bitch-starving. I manage this much better when I follow the 200/150/300/150/300/100 (or 400 for dinner) plan. But... the reality is that I often skip my snacks. If I do- a regular snack just isn't going to tide me over. I really need to eat a full meal at that point. So, I either need to be more dilligent about eating all day long on tues & thurs OR make SURE I leave work on time and and eat dinner at 4:30 before we leave.

Had a rough five days near Vday. I didn't fall off the wagon, I leapt.  Then I had one of those weird streaks where the gym just did NOT fit the schedule.

Not weighing myself for the forseeable future.  At least until I feel thin again.  I goofed and I know it, but I'm not gonna let the higher poundage ruin a whole string of days.

Dress fitting tomorrow!

:fingers: For the dress fitting. Your lapse was pretty brief, you couldn't have done TOO much damage. I'm sure they'll have to take it in again!

But I saw that "fitting in to my old clothes" thread Jamers - that's what counts.  Have fun with the dress fitting!

Meri- YAY!!! You'll be great motivation for my training.  Every time I feel like whining, I'll say to myself, but Meri's training for Badwater!

I am very happy today.  FINALLY hit my milestone, and now I can move on to the next goal.  I want to lose 15 pounds by April 17, when I see the doctor.  Her goal for me is -10 from where I am now, but I typically weigh 5 pounds heavier at the doctor's office so I'm shooting for 15.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

She's an awful, awful human being.

I tend to trust Mini on these issues

ugh...I spent the day yesterday eating my stress....and no exercise.

Today I am refocused. I felt awful yesterday, even as I was doing it. It has been along time since I reverted to my old compensation for stress.  So I am battening down the hatches and moving forward today.
As soon as I am done with my coffee I will head up for a nice run. (I will pretend I am merigayle running a million miles!) and my food goal is simply to eat ONLY what I take to work today.

Mini...congrats on the goal!  :lambie:

Seattle girl....eat BEFORE you go into surgery....even a small amount that way you don't get so hungry!
  Anyway...everyone have a good day!

Mini - congrats!!!

RA - I, too, am biting my tongue around DH. He knows what he weighs. I know what he weighs. He wants to drink Guinness and pretend he's sexy, though, so whatever. I can't force him to drink water and stop eating seconds (or thirds). *sigh*

As for me, I'm rededicating myself to ditching junk food and sodas and making sure I get in a workout.

Of course, I slept in this morning, but I had a kick-ass gym session last night. I'll do something tonight to make sure I get a bit of a workout in, and then get up tomorrow morning.

I guess I am lucky in that DH us very motivated to be healthy and be in shape. So we act as a eam in trying to stay motivated and on track. It helps me when we are on the same page, especially since he cooks the majority of the time

I had a very good run this morning. My breakfast was spinach and egg white scramble and a banana. My snacks are apple w peanut butter, blackberries and strawberries and lunch is left over lamb, rice and broccoli

My goal is to stay on pointwith the foods I brought. There is a huge boxof homemade chocolate chip cookies in the briefing room!
