I forgot to ask!  :rotfl: Doofus. But I will ask Monday. I think a few days later,  it probably takes a while to get through 50k images...

Hope it's no big deal and that you can just swallow a band-aid and it'll be all better. :)

Debba- glad you enjoyed yourself and walked away feeling good about it! That has been the biggest revelation for me- to be able to stay "on plan" right up to the moment of the meal- eat the meal, enjoy the meal, and then get right back on plan at the next opportunity to eat. It sounds so simple- but I have sabbotaged myself SO many times over that little itty bitty idea.

Good job Roach! I am amazed that yogurt ends up on the shared eating table. How long had it been there?  :P

I hate the shared food table. It currently lives out side my cube. It's mostly empty these days (after what seemed like months of holiday crap) but is currently occupied by bagels. I used to have zero control when it came to the "sugar cube" (as we call it) but these days I have no problem ignoring all the goodies.

I can't remember the last time I grabbed a snack out of the sugar cube, or dug into the candy jar, etc. I totally used to be the person who always had my hand in the candy jar. No longer! Although, as I was leaving PT last night I did reach for some candy bars without even thinking about it. I grabbed two. I thougth one of them was a snickers... it turned out to be a milky way. After I thought about it for about 30 seconds I relized I didn't really need the candy and I threw them away (sorry OAW!).

Could I be cured of my sweet tooth?

usually it is food that was supplied to a meeting so sometimes the breakfast meetings get some healthy stuff......I was really lucky this am.......

I have earned a splurge today and that means I am having a beer tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blargh. Reid decided that a good way to start sharing would be to give me his cold germs. I feel like crap. Grrrrrrrr. I had some good workout momentum going, too! Waaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!

Okay, pity party over. Ima go take some meds and go sleep now.

Down 1 this morning, but got my period so a further complication to reaching my milestone currently 2 pounds away.

I think I'll stick at 3 reps of 20 pushups/pullups for the next week.  I'm not feeling ready to move up to more reps.

This weekend I'm going to the travel show with my sister in law, going out for a Valentines Dinner with DH, and probably going to the movies.

Our dinner out should be simple to keep under control.  DH and I usually share an entree.   We're going to our favorite rib joint, and I can get some collard greens and a rib and he can have the rest.  Stupid period showing up in time for VD.

Oh, and the meat snack before the workout was a major win!  I felt great.  It was just a few mouthfuls of leftover pork, but it gave me a lot of energy.

Another PS: I saw this show on Food Network called Fat Chef.  It's your basic weight loss transformation show, but I was really irked at the goals the trainers set.  5 pounds a week!  It's really hard to lose 1-2 pounds a week, imagine feeling like a failure becuase you only lost 3!   I fell asleep before it was over, so I don't know how successful the people were.

Feel better soon, debba!

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

She's an awful, awful human being.

I tend to trust Mini on these issues

Thanks, Mini! I feel crappy enough that I'm taking today off so I can get some rest without having a toddler running around. The scale is down at the moment, so I'm trying to be content with that, focusing on getting better, and looking ahead to next week and restarting my exercise challenge.

Our Internet is having issues, too. Awesome.

Oh, no, debba! I hope that bug's short lived.

As for me... scale was back up again. I'm starting to get a bit pissed off at the injustice of it. I'm staying within calories and on plan.

i think it is a girl thing, with hormones and water retention, etc.

I think I am not getting enough water each day. I stop drinking around 2/3pm because i hate waking up to pee at night and even stopping that early, i often wake to pee at night :( i know there is a lot of water in the produce i eat, but sheesh. I am going to try to get more water in the earlier part of the day.

Debba- we have been nonstop sick it feels like since December. I think it is the mild weather, DD just has a cough but DH and I keep getting horrible colds. My throat is sore again, lovely.

Hi chiming in here. I just was upstairs at work at a going away breakfast and a girl was bitching because she can't have anything because she is on the HCG diet. IMHO and I told her that is nothing more then a money maker for her Dr. Anyone is going to lose eating 500 calories a day!! And that does NOT teach you how to control yourself or live your life.

I've been doing WW since mid August and lost 18 pounds which equaled out to a pound a week, but since first of January went up and took all month and till now to get the 3 back off. Still I am thrilled that I am sticking with it anyway, not giving in. THIS is a lifestyle I can live with. You think it's hard to lose now? Wait till you are my age.

Another observation, I think those of us that are active have a harder time losing because our bodies have become more efficient. At least that's what I am telling myself  :D

yep, money maker in deed. 500 cals/day? that has GOT TO wreck your metabolism  :e)

I think also for some women, with exercise, especially with dieting, our bodies go into womanly survival mode and retain weight, you know, in case we need to bear children :D it is evolution and some of us, like myself, have evolved to be really healthy to bear children or something. My butt is proof :D

I think I have been having 1200-1600 a day for the past 3 months (and there were likely a few days I went either a bit under or over). I took a pic today and couldn't believe the difference from a fwe months ago!

Oooh! This is fun! A co'w of mine is doing the same thing. It's awesome. I've been sharing the craziness throughout the wlc. She always has something crazy to say about it. She's being veeewwwy quiet though because she just got back from a cruise and gained almost all of the weight she just lost, back. Oh and dr? Who needs one. She bought drops off the internet! Swears that it's "the easiest diet" ever. You just wake up skinny! (but also bitches about how tempted she is for all the cookies and what not people bring in).

So, she started this madness in september. The first round ended in the beg of october. At the time she told me she lost 15lbs in 3 weeks. (note, that number later inflated to more like 18) We had a couple of business trips, she went on vacation to mexico, she got giardia, and of course christmas and TG as well. She restarted the diet again in January. By then she was down 10lbs from the start. She lost another 12lbs in the next 3 week go-round. Then left on a cruise. After the cruise she is down a total of 15lbs since october. She plans to restart sometime in march. She claims her goal fo reach 3 week go-round is to lose 5-10lbs. So, got that? She's now on month 5 and is down 15lbs- so about 3 lbs a week.

OTOH- I have been following a reasonable 1200 calorie/day diet for the past 7 weeks. I am down somewhere in the 12-13lb range over that time and still losing.

She points out that she has been able to go on vacatio twice and do all the eating she wants and she's STILL down 15lbs and compared to me, who "haven't eaten anything fun in 2 months!".   :eyeroll:

aaaaand (!) I can't begin to imagine what all this bouncing around has done to her metabolism! She has lost 30lbs and gained back 15- in 5 months. That's insanity!

But, yeah, I think the most important part is that I've changed the way I eat. I will eat some version of what I'm eating now for.ever. Sure, when I'm not actively losing there is a *little* (very little) more room for more indulgence, but not all that much. She's losing weight- but it's not staying off. Going on a starvation diet for 3 weeks a quarter just can't possibly be healthy!
