Up a pound and a half from yesterday, no fair.  :(  My body knows I'm approaching a major milestone and is fucking with me.

Went through my bins of "too small" spring and summer clothes and discovered most fit or were close to fitting.  WIN!

One of the best discoveries was two pair of pants that are not at all too small, but are actually too big.

Then made the wrenching decision to  toss the scores of 10+-year old race t-shirts.  Only kept two with sentimental attachments.  I still have plenty of other junky t-shirts to wear when doing grungy jobs around the house.

So my evening netted two bins of wearable summer clothes, two garbage bags full of donations, and one trash bag full of clothes that cannot be donated (bathing suits, underwear).

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

good job with the clothes, Mini. I am not even going to look at my too small clothes any time soon!!!

I did not weigh today.

I made DD the best breakfast (ok it is really not a breakfast, but she has not been eating breakfast much lately, refusing most things i give her or only picking at them) http://www.forgivingmartha.com/2011/06/avocado-chocolate-pudding.html it was delicious! not really calorie friendly, but i had a taste, yum!

I did 1/2 oat bran and 1/2 old fashioned oats this morning, hoping to fill me up a little longer.

Oooooh, I need to go through my closet, too. Not today, though.

I need to go through my clothes drawers again. Mini, you have inspired me to do that this weekend.

I did not make it to step last night, but I don't feel bad.  I haven't had a day off exercise wise in over a week, and I stayed close to my minimum calorie allowance for the day.
I woke up and I my weight was down a pound....so Wooot!
I am going to run in a bit...as soon as I am done with my coffee. I dd wake up hungry this morning so I think I will have scrambled egg whites, spinach and cheese with my fav salsa for breakfast.
Lunch is turkey meat taco salad with red and green lettuce, tomato, and salsa.
snacks will be apple w peanut butter, cottage cheese w salsa and berries.

Lancashire...I think you food choices were really balanced. You ate what you wanted but eliminated the things you really didn't need. Please review the Jillian thing for us when you have used it.

No loss for a week, four pounds overnight.

On top of bloating, my period makes me get "backed up" (as Oprah says).  So it may actually stick, we'll see.

OMG, I'm home today with Reid - he has a cold and was running a fever yesterday - and he's making me insane. I *so badly* want to get fast food for lunch. Right now he's throwing a fit because I wouldn't let him run out the front door.

I am! Right now my inherent laziness is what's saving me - going for fast food would involve, well, *going* somewhere, and it's a PITA to get dressed, get Reid loaded in the car, go somewhere, and bring it all back home.

But good lord, french fries sound good right now.

So, DD asked me if I am on a diet last night. I didn't really know how to answer her. I've been pretty careful, throughout her life to avoid "the d word" and avoid saying that I think I'm fat, I want to lose weight, and those kinds of things in front of her. We DO talk a lot about healthy foods and what kinds of things we should eat more and less of.

So, yesterday she asked what I was reading. I told her it was a book about nutrition. She said "then why is it called a diet", are you trying to lose weight?

I told her there were different kinds of "diets" out there. There are crazy fad diets that are dangerous and don't work (she said- you mean like the ones where you eat only protein or only soup or only grapefruits?) and there are eating plans that help you see where you can make improvements to what you're eating so you can be healthier. I don't know if I'd really call it a diet... but I'm trying to focus on eating healthier.

Luckily, that seemed to satisfy her. I don't particularly want to get into the "trying to lose weight" discussion with her.

My cold is worse today.  No appetite or energy.  DH let me sleep in this morning and I still took a nap this afternoon.  My head may explode from congestion pressure.  I'm also feeling anxious about not running.

The scale was down again this morning.  I actually do NOT want to get to 110 but if I'm exercising and eating when I'm hungry then maybe it is something else going on with my body?

Salad and chicken and other leftovers for dinner tonight.

Officers had training day today and bbq'd cheese burgers. I almost opted in but then I entered the foods on my fitness pal. I ended up eating my leftover ground turkey taco meat and broccoli. I ended up saving 300 calories!! That did not include mayo or sides.   I think my food was better tasting and more nutritious.

Dodged that bullet!  If it was cake I am not so sure I would have bothered resisting!!

Yeah, had a PB&J, a tiny bit of leftover raisin bran, and two pretzels for lunch. The good news? I have plenty of points for the birthday dinner I'm going to tonight. The bad news? I'm effing starving right now and I need to start getting dressed, so I won't have time for a snack before I go. I'll avoid the bread, though.

Enjoy your dinner! Doing ok except for a few bites of DH's coffee cake. I never told you all that on wednesdays at DDs school there is a huge box or two of free panera stuff!

I am resisting the potato chips that are in the break room.  My yogurt is not really cutting it, though!
