Crap, that sucks. Have you taken anything for allergies or for the headache itself? Hope you get some relief. Drink lots of water.

I am on a prescription steroids nasal spray which works really well for keeping my nose from running. I have been downing advil for the headaches but it doesn't work. I can't takeother allergy needs because they all make me a zombie.

Have you tried singulair?

Woot woot! When the weather starts to get so nice, it really is something to look forward to, to get out there!

So I hit it, The Number. I clicked my WW plan over to "maintenance." I'll still track but with more points, which might be perfect timing so I can eat more with long runs going to do for the half.

I have a different asthma inhaler.
It is an oral med that originally was for asthma but is now widely used for allergies, not to replace your inhaler.

for me, when my allergies are at their worst, i use the trifecta: calritin, flonase and singulair.

Claratin is definitely a no go. That its one of the worst zombie offenders. Non drowsy...hah...might as well be a sleeping pill.

I never had it have that effect on me. Other allergy meds, on the other hand, yes siree!

OMG, that is so funny...Claritin (D, though) is like speed for me. I even lose weight on it.

I'm really sensitive to this kind of thing too. Zyrtec not only makes me sleepy but turns me into a binge eater. Fun!  :d

Nasal steroids are wonderful.   :heartbeat:  Although I have to be careful which one or I'll have nosebleeds.

Singulair somehow helps with allergy-related coughing for me, which helps me sleep better.  I'll still cough if the drainage is really bad, but Singulair keeps me from coughing just from the presence of allergens in the air/bed/whatever.

Unfortunately, I have neither right now, and we are full on in tree pollen season.  (I need to see my allergist again.  I got my GP to write them, but then couldn't get them filled because elaborate written justification is needed in order for insurance to cover it.)  If I didn't get allergy shots it would all be even worse.

Zyrtec does not make me sleepy.  (Actually neither does Claratin, but Zyrtec works better for me.)  Benadryl does unless I am doing something active.  So it's fine to take Benadryl and go walk, hike, ride, etc, but not fine to take Benadryl and try to read a contract.

It may help to take the real Sudaphed with your antihistimine.  That shit keeps me up all night.

Both Rhinocort and Nasonex are not as bad for the nosebleeds, but Flonase has a generic and those don't.  You still need a humidifier in winter, and I still get a few nosebleeds, but nowhere near the every day it got to be with Flonase.

This is how Zyrtec is for me. I'm generally ok while I'm moving but when I stop zzzzzz

I love nasal steroids.  Best thing ever.

Claritin and Zyrtec, etc, don't make me tired, but they also do nothing for my allergies.  Prior to Veramyst, the only thing that helped my allergies was Benadryl, and that knocks me out big time.

I stepped on the scale today and it had been two weeks since I last weighed and I was down 5 lbs!  Granted it was after my run, but I had eaten three times and I usually weigh myself after my run.  I had to get on my scale 3-4 times since I thought it was broken.. It's the lowest I've weighed in forever.  And frankly, I'm not even trying too hard right now.  I figured I'd wait until after my half next week and put another big push on then before I start my marathon training.

I am logging my food, but I have had wine and some pasta and I haven't been totally within calories. And I had upped my fitness pal to 1700 calories a day, not even counting my exercise calories.. I have been doing yoga 3x/week plus running 5 or 6 days.

Some times I think I lose better when I add some calories in.

MoS: you should look at the group on there titled "eat more to weight less". Often times they post in the general forums under the 'in place of a road map'thread title; it's some interesting reading.

PS: amazing job! You've been kicking butt in a lot of arenas lately :heartbeat:

I'll have to check that out.  I mostly log on in my phone and I don't think the forums come up on the phone?
