Today I ran 30 minutes without stopping, and I didn't feel like I wanted to die at the end!  I think I am finally getting used to the altitude here (6800 feet, ew!)  Then we went to the community rec center to get memberships.  I'm not thrilled with the facility, but it's as good as it gets up here, and less than $400 for both of us for now through the end of 2013.  Plus it's across the street from my office so theoretically I could go on my lunch break.  We'll see.

On the way home, kenyan talked me into getting take and bake pizza.  Sigh.  It's in the oven, but not my favorite kind so I'll probably only have a slice or two.

Nadra, this reminds me that i need to figure out how to start using my free gym membership! LOL. I will call them today if i remember.

I had every intention of waking up at 5:30 to run, but i had nightmares last night ( :( ) and just did not sleep well then DD woke up right before 6 and i stayed in her bed until 6:45. BUT my schedule will most likely work out that i can fit a run in before picking DD up.

*yawn* Apparently every site on the interwebs is down except Yammering, THANK GOD. Nothing at work is working correctly. Considering that everything we do requires one or both of our online databases, it's making it very difficult to actually do work.

The in-laws are gone, so we can start getting back to normal with food. I think we'll probably do leftovers tonight, just to clean out the fridge some, and go from there. I'm hoping that at my appointment on Friday, I'll get cleared to at least start walking again. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed my medically-enforced laziness, but I'm starting to feel like a slug.

I had nightmares last night, too.

I have been pretty good about getting my workouts in, but i have not been calorie counting.  I have steadily gained weight. despite the fact that I don't eat crap. I am coming (back) to the realization that I cannot get away with not counting calories.  (sorry bout the double negative). So....back to counting I go.
Plus, I think I am pmsing.

i know. right? this is ridiculous. If i do not count every single calorie that goes in my mouth i gain. And i am eating well. No junk, all healthy foods. Life sucks, dude! LOL.

Debba- glad we can entertain :)

well, poop! my last appt just booked, no running for me today, i should have just dragged myself out of bed this morning. UGH. it is like the 1000th rainy day in a row though. I am so sick of it, but it seems to be the end of the rain.

It's all misty this morning. Kind of a surprise, I don't think we were expecting it.

I totally thought I was dreaming it was raining. Actually I DID dream I was in a rainstorm that turned into tornado falling out of the sky.  :panic:

When I woke up it was all dark and gloomy.  :( I need sunshine.

I dream about rain and thunderstorms too sometimes, only to wake up and find it's all sunny and glowy outside (like today).

And that actually saddens me often, as I generally much prefer glum and gloomy weather. It suits me much better, and makes me feel less alone and out of place.

Anyway... sending all the sunshine your way~

Reid *swore* to me last night that he could "hear the rain." I was like, "Yeah, that's nice, PLEASE go to sleep."

And then I heard the rain. Oops.

I've added a Luna bar to my lunch. I've been craving something sweet around that time, and binging on Reese's Minis probably isn't the best decision. We'll see if it helps.

oh yes those are tasty :) i usually get a few luna bars for my races and that is one i always get. There is a coconut one that is good and a macadamia nut one, which is funny because i do not like macadamia nuts in other things! LOL.

I just had a really good run and now time to go to work. Shower first. LOL. I am starting to feel a bit energized about running again. Still feel like a fatso, but whatever, that too shall pass. This describes me exactly:

I've been carefully watching for the last few days b/c we went to the Arboretum this evening with a photographer friend and had our pictures taken.  After that, all bets were off, we went to a yummy Mexican place where I ate my weight in refried beans.  Now I'm happy.  :D
