Good job, MM!!!

We used the CCs while we were in New Orleans, but that was planned and the cash is in our vacation fund, so I'm not worried about that.

I ran last night (4.25 miles) which is the first time in weeks. Tiny victory but today and last night my back was killing me.

More than a tiny victory. Nice work!!

good job MM!!!

we used cc in Badwater for things like rental cars (mostly because you have to) with the intent of paying off with the next cc statement, pretty much did that, but there was already a balance before that. It's like running on a treadmill!

yep. but i feel like we are taking steps in the right direction, but the money just seems to vanish! LOL. We lowered our mortgage $600/mo, reduced rent at work $400/mo, no cable tv for 2 years, lowered both car payments in the past 12-18 months, BUT now we are paying again for health insurance (not cheap!) and it always seems to be something that requires $. With all the cuts, you would think there would be a surplus, but so far, not seeing it :( Oh well. As long as we can pay our bills, I gotta be content, because there was a time when we could not do that! Even though it has been almost 4 yrs, it is really hard to adjust to making 1/2 of what i used to make. The economy blows. We've seriously adjusted our lifestyle, but added a kid in there, so it kinda was a wash :D

I also had 2 weeks worth of bank deposits that i took to the bank today, and my account went from little to a lot, so that was just a mind game i mistakenly played with myself :D

ok, gotta jet outta work and catch a run before picking up DD :)

I love our little chit chats/random thoughts here. I  :heartbeat: you gals :)

Sorry debba, no help with the iPhone from me and my stupid phone.

We had a really nice dinner yesterday (venison tenderloin and something that was described as 'dutch peewee potatoes, which cracked me up, and salad) but it was not low in anything! Good though!

Tonight we'll have oktoberfest food. Mmmm, sausage....

I really need to go out and run. The weather is so gorgeous, there is no excuse but I have been so frikkin lazy.

VP some days it is just hard to get out there.  Enjoy the ocktoberfest though!
Meri, I agree.   :skeered:
Debba, no advice at all about WW.  Hope it gets worked out.

I dragged DH & the kids out of bed this morning.  I ran the 5k race, 2nd in my age group, felt pretty good passing the people going up hills.  :D  It was a cool drizzle the whole time which helped.  Afterwards we did the 1 mile fun run... well... umm... tried.  David did run a little, maybe .3 of a mile??  then they both demanded to be carried the entire way.  My arms are dead.  Right after we crossed the finished line they wanted down to walk!!   :incazzato:  :sigh:

At least they are napping today...they've not been napping lately.  So that is a bonus.  It also gave me & DH some time to sit down and sort out our finances again...at least to get back on top of it in theory.  Also discovered a charge on my card that I didn't authorize....apparently I'm buying sunglasses in Oregon.  I called the merchant's number on my phone and it was someone in Canada.  So, tried to sort that all out with the bank.  They didn't think it was necessary to cancel/change my card numbers!?

Guess I should attempt some house cleaning before we get visitors later.  Hope ya'll are having a good weekend!

I'm feeling super run down and whiney right now. Glad I got up and did my run this morning though. A bit sore from doing stairs yesterday and I think I have allergies or something. Didn't sleep well last night and soooooooooo tired today.  :wah:

No ice cream for me at the party, but i did have a couple bites of cake. DH made spaghetti and no-meat balls for dinner and i used the left over spaghetti squash for me, i just hope i do not wake up starving in the middle of the night like last night :(

hugs to all of you

I'm hoping to get in a run tomorrow.  Hopefully the rain is finished.  My dog is going to pee in my shoes soon if I don't take him for a good run.  (not really, he's the sweetest dog ever, but we always say that)

SB- maybe you need to pack on some pounds pre getting knocked up :D But welcome here :)

No TCBY for us. We had a scarecrow fiasco that only a toddler could have  :eyeroll: i promised to take her to a store to buy a cheap scarecrow because the pumpkin patch was wayyyyy overpriced. Well, they closed at 4, we got there around 4:10 :( she was hysterical. Another woman told us AC Moore had them on sale, se we shlepped all the way over there and bought some. Ugh.

I have been dragging ass lately. Maybe this is the culprit. I have horrible allergies right now too. I am something of a mess. It ain't pretty.

  horrible allergies here, too.  I was silly and thought I could tough it out w/o Zyrtec.  :nono:  This was the first morning in several days that I didn't wake up full of disgustingness and suffer an itchy throat all day.

And SB, my DH goes through the same thing.  And then later in the winter he'll have SAD bad.  He's like a plant; definitely doesn't do well without copious amounts of sunshine (or we'd be living in Vancouver right now).  Ireland is not for him, huh?

Ehhhh, it's been okay this weekend. Not horrible, not great. I need to tighten things up on the food front, but I have two offsite events this week, which means box lunches from Jason's Deli, and my in-laws come in on Thursday, which never ends well, foodwise.  :sigh:
