Sounds like a great motivation Debba.

RA glad the appetite is coming back and you're happy with your weight.

My big run yesterday was cancelled due to more family drama.  I mean FFS!!  Dad was knocking on the door early yesterday asking DH for help setting up his new internet and phone stuff.  So we went over and he's taken down all pics on the wall with mom in them.  He is obsessed with finding Indian artifacts so was showing us lots of rocks he found.  Normal for him but OTT yesterday.  Then detoxed brother was there and mentioned jail time for 5 years but couldn't talk to me about it without crying so I dunno what for or any other details.

Sheesh.

I've got a late night at work this evening so did a 1.5 mile trail walk with the kids this morning in hopes they will nap today.

BBQ pork in the crockpot for tonight.

I put DH on notice this morning that yes, I'm going to start walking in the mornings when we get back and yes, that means the alarms will be going off early, and I'm tired of feeling like I'm causing problems by wanting to work out, so he's going to have to suck it up and deal.

 :fiery:

Do you think it might help you to follow the GD diet now? I know a few people who've done that just as a way to have a healthy eating plan to follow that is approved for preggos.

RA, it might. I should look into it; that's actually a really good idea. Duh. If it's super-complicated, I'll do the best I can, because we (DH and I) won't be able to handle making a separate meal just for me. It's hard enough to get dinner on the table in the limited time we have anyway.

And Bolloxd, holy hell. Sorry about all the drama!!!

Wow bolloxed, that's nuts!

Debba, I don't think it's crazy complicated or anything. I think it's pretty much a typical healthy eating plan (whole foods, avoid processed carbs, etc). I was thinking the recommendations as far as how much to eat might be helpful though. :)

If DH can't handle making two separate meals, then everyone is eating what Mama needs to eat to ensure the healthiest pregnancy and baby possible!

I will write you note if you need it.  :D

Can you address that note to my toddler, caito? Because he doesn't give a shit.

Oh God, is the Brewer Diet the one that makes you eat an egg every damn day? No. Noooooooo. I hate that stinkin' thing. :)

I looked at the GD diet and it's pretty much how I eat now, so.... eh. I just need to eat a few extra almonds or something.

... oh, and this also. But, I get it. DH and DD often wouldn't touch my "diet" food (which was really just healthy basic food). But, DH was perfectly comfortable cooking them a meal and I'd just eat on my own.

We try really hard to do the family meal time thing, and the vast majority of our meals are healthy. I can make a few tweaks here and there. The reality is, for me, it's all about exercise. I know that's not how it's "supposed" to work, but... that's how it is for me.

I don't cook for DH, he will eat what i make or fend for himself. DD either eats what i eat (or a variation of it) or something simple to prepare, so yes, sometimes we are eating three different meals, but i really only put effort into one meal. I also make DD a large amount of food she can eat over several days. Tues and Thurs i work later and get home around 7:30pm and he always makes her pasta, or nothing and expects me to feed her. Or last week fed her very expired hummus and i was up all night cleaning vomit  :eyeroll:

I do not think the Brewer's diet has you eat an egg, but i am not really sure!

I just remember my doula was all hung up on one specific diet and I got lectured every time I said I wasn't following it.  :eyeroll:

Generally, our diet really is pretty darn healthy. Perfect? No. But honestly, not that shabby. Weight loss, for me, is all about exercise. And I have been a giant stressball, pretty much since the second line showed up on that test. Not because of the baby, just that things are super-busy right now. And when I'm this stressed? I eat junk. When I'm *pregnant* and this stressed?  :panic: :panic: :panic:

Hey all...I am doing ok. I am down this week but that is probably back on the wagon weight and not real weight. I have been struggling with hunger but I will figure it out. I know that in order to be a healthy weight I pretty much have to be hungry all the time.

Back on the wagon weight is real weight!!! And your body will adjust - give it a little time. I'm pretty much going to have to detox next week after this week and this coming weekend. Oof. It could get ugly.

Yeah, that's the one!! Sorry, there's no way in hell I can eat 2 eggs every day. Or liver. Other than that, I already eat a lot of those things, so...

Poor little David got his first bee sting today.  It was a completely unprovoked attack from a honeybee.... I saw the whole thing.  We gave him antihistamine within seconds to be safe.  He seems fine now but was not happy at the time.  I realized another part of my issues lately has been a sinus headache that has lasted an entire week and I should have started my period on Tuesday...PMS is annoying.

Looking forward to the weekend!!

Owie, poor David. Are you sure it was a honey bee though? They are usually not very stingy, though at the end of the summer, they are typically more ornery than in spring.

Yesterday was an ok day. I have my 800 calorie sandwich from Panera for lunch (I kid you not, it lists that on the menu) but because I skipped dinner and just had a small yogurt when I got home after working late, it worked out ok.

And I'm feeding my customers stroopwafels to get rid of them (the stroopwafels, that is). But only the customers I like get one! :D

Glad David's ok!

I took my blood pressure at the pharmacy today - 106/70 - no wonder I've been feeling dizzy!  Increasing salt/fluid intake.

Ate too many samples at the store today, but otherwise staying on track.

Wore a skirt yesterday that was too snug a few weeks ago, with my new boots.  Thank you Zappos!

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.
