ditch the bread and cole slaw and it won't be too terrible.

I had a chicken sausage with bun and a bunch of BBQed veggies so not too bad.

Ice cream for the third time this week (strawberry mochi today).  :D And peanut butter pretzles. and pasta for lunch. I am now thoroughly paying for it.  :whoa:

We had a nice time at the beach today though and tomorrow we are river floating with some friends.

We've been staying with my dad this week. They haven't been here much because they've been up at his wife's family's beach house most of the time. He stopped by tonight and he started asking me a bunch of questions. I think he's kind of mad at me because I immediately shut him down. Like everyone else, I've told him I'm not talking about the details. He says he's my dad and so I have to talk to him about it. I told him I'm serious, I'm not talking about it and I'm not going to argue about not talking about it.  :fiery: To which he tells me I should call my counselor and talk to her about it. No, really, I don't want to talk about it. Leave me alone.

So, maybe it's good that tomorrow we move into vacation rental #1. Looks like I don't have to go to OH afterall (sorry MM).

Wait, what? He's your dad so you *have* to talk to him about it? Does he think you're 12? If you don't want to talk about it, you don't want to talk about it.

I think it's a good thing you're getting into the vacation rental, too.

I'm with debba here. You can talk to whomever whenever you're ready to do so, which may be never. Hello!

It's none of his damn business!!!

Don't let him bully you into spilling details about your personal life. That's not right. He should respect that.

RA

Meri, I've never eaten at DQ but I'm sure I'd like a cake blizzard too!

I've been super lazy today and didn't run.  Spent the time surfing and playing games.  Oops.  I've finally started to get cramps for AF.  I'm relieved because I have been on edge the last few days...and I did jinx myself from an earlier post about being on time.  Hope to do better tomorrow.

Oh yeah, something I forgot to mention earlier.   Not sure if it is just me that does it or not, but every now & then I'll find a hair of mine down my shirt/bra that kinda tickles until I get it out.  Well I had the same thing happen today but the tickle didn't stop...turns out that tickle was a freaking TICK.  Crawling on my boobs.   :e)  I'm also covered in mosquito bites...I'm ready for winter.

I'm now sitting on the sofa with some wonderful painkillers making me feel happy.  Woohoo.

RA - Not saying to do it right this minute, because I know you are still working logistical issues and trying to enjoy the last of summer, but...your Dad is probably right on one thing - at some point, it probably IS a good idea to talk about it and a counselor is a good idea.  (Plus, if it will make your Dad feel better that you've talked to SOMEBODY, even if it isn't him, that's kind of a bonus.  He's your Dad.  He worries about you.  That's what they do.)

More  for you.

Bolloxd, I HATE ticks.  Despise them.  Yuck.  I've pulled several off of all of us this summer and dozens off Eddie.  Thank goodness it's not as bad as the springtime; was like a plague.

Meri, hope you have fun at the amusement park.
Deb, hang in there!

I've spent the day either in the bathroom, in bed napping, or on the couch waiting on pain pills to work.  Stupid endometriosis.

Oh and I totally missed my bed time goal last night, for some reason we stayed up till 1:30 watching an Amelia Earhart documentary.

Kids are not napping today it seems.  I need another reset day.

I've been good for a whole 16 hours.  Have I lost 20 pounds yet?

I've been overeating for most of August.  I haven't put on weight, but I haven't lost either, and I haven't been working out enough either.

DH is away this week, so I'm using this as a chance to change up my habits - put the "daily" back into daily workouts, eat right, cut out sugar entirely.  By the time he gets back on Saturday, I'll be back in the groove and able to pass on the donuts.

#minidriverisagenius

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

She's an awful, awful human being.

I tend to trust Mini on these issues
Mini is so smart!

I'm going to bed by 9:30 tonight, even if DH is still awake. I have a training session scheduled for tomorrow night. I'm contemplating just going for a walk with the dog in the morning so I have something left for training tomorrow night. But the stupid part of me is yelling that "it's not enough" and one walk is stupid if I can't run 5 miles.  :eyeroll:

RA-- aren't we your virtual counselors? :D Tell him you see Dr Yammerers.

Amusement park was fun. Once again, no DQ. I did have  scoop of ice cream, but only because there was a B1G1 coupon when i signed us up for 2012/13 memberships. DD is passed out. Already woke her once and she passed right back out. It is almost 5pm  :e)

Please for the love of FSM, cross your fingers and everything else that we can close on our refi. This has been a long, drawn out, ridiculous process, held up for MONTHS over stupid shit (like disputes over how much $ is in our escrow account, etc). I am starting to lose hope and DH already has. We never catch a break. My credit score is almost 800!!! WTF????

oh and i have to add, after yesterday's race, I am not sure i am cut out to be competitive. I went with the goal to place, maybe win, which is really rare for me. Only once have i ever gone into a race thinking i would place (and i got 4th  :-[ ). Well, anywho, I was just not being nice in my head about the other gals there. The 2nd place girl was sooooo nice and friendly, but in my head i kept trying to will her to stop running, LOL. I will say it made me run hard, which i do not do very often, but I'd rather just go to a race and enjoy myself and all the people and only be 100% positive. The 2nd place girl had said she was only going to run until she hit 26 miles, then i joked that she shoudl run 1 more to get an ultra, so she did, and KEPT RUNNING, i was like, wtf? then she passed 50K and i was like, well, she'll stop now. She kept saying she was going to stop soon, but this went on for HOURS. I was like, is she trying to get ME to stop and psyche me out? She stopped at 40 and i went to 42 and there was an hour left and i was going to go to 45, but everyone else was stopping (only 3 people left on the course, it was a 12 hour race) and i was just happy to know she was not going to go back out and run 3 more miles after i stopped :D i waited for her to pack her stuff up. :D
