Aw man that does suck.  Maybe a run would help you feel a little better if you can squeeze one in.

I've been doing online birthday shopping today, lunch with LM - my 1st time eating sushi, and now perhaps a nap.  I start *real* work tomorrow.   :panic:

:fingers: that they can get a reloc from the bank and the paperwork we will eventually receive will be sufficient. UGH.

I did about a million stairs today. Yesterday too. Didn't eat enough yesterday and thoroughly regretted it. Big bowl of soup, a roll, and a tiny crustless quiche for lunch. Now having 2 eggs with cheese. Hoping some exercise will help me start eating again.

strenuous exercise definitely is helping my state of mind. I called two counselors today. Not sure I'm ready yet. We'll see.

Okay, I'm trying to re-work my plan so I can get 30DS in there a few days a week. I go to the gym on T/Th nights, so I'm guessing that means T/W/TH are out for 30 DS?

After two days of stairs in a row, I can hardly walk today! Thinking about a hike sunday- we'll see if I can walk by then. My calves are like rocks!!

I know what you mean!  I've been hiking to the very top of our mountain every day to check on the loggers.  Every day.  It's 200 feet of elevation gain in .4 miles.  And that's in addition to the rest of the elevation change we have in our mountain which is no small thing.  My lower back is aching tonight.

I'm impressed with both of you - that would kill me. Or make me wish for death or something.

Today we walked and walked and walked. Back to our temporary apartment for a bit and now headed out to dinner with friends followed by a trip to the glass museum and a ride on the great wheel (seattle has a new giant ferris wheel).

Hooooo boy. Hope all you guys are doing well - got to go back and read through.

Back from my Chicago biz trip and vacation #2. That was rough, but I held my own with no gain. Wowzers. I am kind of suprised, because I really had some challenges - a dinner at Buca di Beppo (pasta aplenty, red wine aplenty, everything covered in cheese), dinner with Oache (lovely beers and suckling pig, and dessert!), and then a week of noshing up in Maine with friends (cocktails/beers, ice cream, hot dogs, ice cream, crab rolls, ice cream, chowda, and did I mention ice cream?). It seems like the thing that helps is that I do eat well but only at meals and not a lot of crap in between, and I keep up with exercising.

So after today I get back onto a routine. I'll need to grocery shop to set the stage for a week of good eating. The school-year challenge is to pack decent lunches on days when I'm in the car all day, so I need to think about options for that. When I was in Chicago I was chatting with some colleagues who are also trying WW and/or healthier eating, and after hearing everyone's ideas, I think I need to order a set of bento boxes for packing lunches. There were some good ideas being thrown around for things to pack that way, so I want to give it a try.

Wow, I have been catching up on everyone's posts...lots of stuff going on.

Meri, your refi sounds like hell. I can imagine your frustration and anger over what should be a fairly straight forward process.  So so lame.

Cgraz, welcome back from what sounds like a great holiday.  Suckling pig? Yum.

Deb, a few years ago my DH and I started 30ds after being on an exercise hiatus. We did it pretty solidly for a month and I did see results.  We have several of her DVDs....I think they are pretty solid well rounded circuits.

Ra...

Mini, how are you doing on the no sugar no grains?  How is your soreness level after doing Zumba?

Bollxd, your birthday sounded perfect.  I think you should get a massage on your dh's birthday! Make it a tradition.

I *think* I am getting my mojo back.  I finally dragged myself into the gym after work Thursday, and did a tidy little circuit that I learned from my trainer.  It only takes 30 minutes but it is hardcore. Dead lifts, squats, uprigh rows with the 45lb bar ( 5 sets of 10 ), then 2 sets of 10 pushups, and 20 lunges holding a 25lb plate over my head.  Then 2 sets of 1 minute jump rope, and 20 kettle bell swings. Then ab work on the boss ball. I warm up and cool down on the rowing machine.
My legs and ass were killing me all day yesterday. I managed to go swim for 30 minutes, and zi think that helped with the doms.  DH wants me to go run at clam beach with the dogs this am...and I think I can handle it.

Eating is getting reined in also...I am cutting out bread entirely, my digestion doesn't really lime it anyway), and focusing on portions.  I am not even worrying about my weight...I just want to establish my routine again...so right now that is my goal.

I feel better these last few days ( despite not being able to walk) than I have in weeks.

Oh, last weekend wee went camping up in Oregon, Lake of the Woods...in search of sun and warm water.  We took the dogs and paddle boards and had a blast.  Hank and Dewey are so funny on those boards.  Dewey walks right on as if he owns it. Hank only does it to appease us, but once we go out he seems pretty happy.

We used to camp at lake of the woods when I was a kid!

I am sore from gardening ... how sad.
