So went to a bday party with DD last night at the neighbors. No cake, but when i got there, DH and my other neighbor were so happy they saved me mac n cheese before it was all eaten (only vegetarian food). It was pretty darn good. Homemade. Luckily it was a cupcake cake not a cake and i only had a swipe of frosting :D

Tricia, that's really cool about the hypnosis. Hmmmmm....

And meri, good job at the party!

My scale was up a little this morning, but not too bad. I also had a massive bowl of raisin bran last night, so that could be part of it.

I've done it.

Not hokey at all.

Helped with my negative chatter and self-worth/depression/etc. I wish I'd stuck with it. I still use some of the guided imagery and relaxation techniques I learned. It didn't completely get me out of my funk, but it helped me process and deal with some of the stuff I was going through.

I can totally see how it could help with weight loss. You CAN train your mind.

That's great to hear!  I'm hopeful that it is a positive thing.  :)  It can't hurt, as far as I can tell!

No, it doesn't hurt!

And afterwards you see everything with intense clarity. Like you have had the most restful sleep ever. I had an almost similar feeling when I was taking Sam-E.

One of the tricks I learned about food was to picture the "bad" food you are craving in black and white. There is more to it, I think. I'm sure there is a personal mantra you are supposed to repeat to yourself as you are tricking your mind into not wanting to have that certain thing.

Black and white, hmmm? Instead of in HD-3D color, complete with smell-o-vision?

Yeah, that would probably help. :)

I have a running/walking  "date" tonight with a couple of our customers! YAY.

I had packed my gym bag yesterday and of course I found every excuse not to go. So tonight they're meeting here at the shop, so I have no choice but to go.

MM, I hope you are enjoying yourself and having a great time!

I ate some reese cups from Halloween earlier...it was way too old & nasty.  I'm jealous of fresh candy, lol.

I've been slightly MIA.  The kids have been fighting nonstop lately.  Teaching TWO toddlers not to hit the shit out of each other is hard work.  I also have been panicking about the job situation.  I should start training on Sunday...but just got offered the job for the other place today.  The lady had no idea about wages so I can't decide until she can get HR to call me.  I get so stressed over decisions like this.

I have been running but that has started to be painful lately too.  My knee is really bothering me.  Oh, and the kids were up at 6:30 this morning making demands to sleep in our bed, so I'm lacking in sleep.  Waaaahhh.... :wah:   Gotta go make some dinner too.

Meri, it must be something going on.  They were not this bad before but the last couple days have been a whiny nightmare with screams of NO! From all of us.  I think we are all just frustrated.  Both are still waiting on 2 yr molars to come through so I wonder if that is part of it

I have to remember to breathe.

Omg dont even get me started on teething, DD was the worst an no joke, we had a party when she got her last tooth! She has been screaching when upset with us and it is drivin us bonkers. She has a lil attitude lately and everything has to be her way and on her terms, well that is what she wants anyways!

Maybe you could get them mini versions of the headgear and boxing gloves they wear at the Olympics?

If it helps at all, we're trying to break Reid of needing DH to sit in the rocker in his room before he'll fall asleep. DH sat for 10 minutes tonight and then left. Reid's screaming "MOMMY AND DADDY!!!!!!!" and sobbing like we've just left him on the front steps of the orphanage. I've already gone in once.  :'( I feel like shit right now.

so i love the spiraler and made zucchini pasta last night again, however, this is not a meal. no way i could fill myself up on zucchini and not be ravishing hungry in the middle of the night. It is a great side dish however. YUM!

Sounds good!

The scale was up again this morning, but at least I have a reason - my period showed up a few days early.  :grr:

On the bright side, I *knew* there was no way I'd eaten enough to explain 4 pounds.

thanks for the reviews, meri.  I love zucchini.  They're mostly water, though, so no wonder you can't fill yourself up.  OTOH, I could see eating that zucchini 'pasta' with fresh tomato sauce, cheese and walnuts and making it more filling and a rounder meal.
