I get a free subscription to Family Circle and in there they have a feature on two families trying to get healthy, lose weight, etc. Well, each month they set goals for all the members of the family, for one, a 6 year old boy, his goal is eat less fast food. um, not like he gets in a car and drives to McDs and buys his own fast food. Just rubbed me the wrong way. How about mom and dad's goals are buy less shit for your kids???

I gained 10 pounds on our honeymoon.  :-[

And meri, yeah, unless the kid has figured out how to sneak out of the house and hitch a ride to the fast food place, that one's kind of on the parents.

I bought a gift and texted the mom, i got the cutest whatever and she was like, she already has it. Ugh. why did i open my trap? i could have just given it to her with the receipt. Off to go shopping for a girl who turns 8 today and is too old for Barbies  :eyeroll:

I had a bacon cheeseburger last night for dinner, but it was sooooo good.  And I dipped my fries in honey mustard, whereas I normally don't even eat but a couple of the fries.  I ate almost ALL of them.  Still down another .2 this morning (post run - probably just sweat).

LOL! Yeah, I'd have been totally confused and concerned about meri if she posted that she'd had a bacon cheeseburger. :D

Still being lazy as hell, but my eating is going pretty well. Had another acupuncture appointment yesterday. I dozed off twice.

I have acupuncture this afternoon and I can't wait. I'm counting on a nice nap.  :)

Then, I may hit Trader Joe's on the way home for a few things.

OMG, I don't know why, but I desperately want to go out and buy a binge. I got through lunch without doing it, but right now, the only thing I can think about is Reese's Mini Peanut Butter Cups.  :panic: :panic: :panic: :panic: :panic:

So my freaking neighbor kid has everything. I called her mom from all these stores and she had everything. I did manage to piece some stuff together for her, but sheesh. And American Girl crap is EXPENSIVE. Luckily i had a 40% coupon at Michaels.

You're a nice person, meri. I'd have given up and bought something from Target with a gift receipt. I'm staying strong. There's a vending machine upstairs, but I've made a pact that I can get a diet coke from there after 5 (I work to 7 tonight). I'm hoping I'll be too lazy by then. And if not, well, I don't have nearly enough change on me to get a good binge going from the vending machine.

I had a lower level binge on chocolate chips and peanut butter (from the jar) last night.  Out of nowhere.  So I hear ya.

I'm seeing a hypnotherapist on Thursday.  My friend did this recently and has really been able to be successful with her evening/boredom eating.  I figured it was worth a shot.

I will!  That's how my friend tried it, with a groupon.  She said it was not hokey, which she was expecting!  :D  So I'm hopeful I have a similar experience.  I figure the only thing I have to lose is $, and I have some flex money that needs to be spent, and I'm hoping I can submit for this.

i met with a hypnosis guy after experiencing severe anxiety and panic attacks following a car accident. The session was ok and i was about 70% better after it. I do not think i was hypnotized per se but we did a lot of guided imagery type of stuff.

I've done it.

Not hokey at all.

Helped with my negative chatter and self-worth/depression/etc. I wish I'd stuck with it. I still use some of the guided imagery and relaxation techniques I learned. It didn't completely get me out of my funk, but it helped me process and deal with some of the stuff I was going through.

I can totally see how it could help with weight loss. You CAN train your mind.
