Yep! Meri, that's it exactly. DH is very physically needy and it made me insane and he had a hard time understanding why I didn't want to get naked all the time. Poor DH.

And RG, no, changing the hormones doesn't always help.

I just want to hug both of you.     That stuff just sucked so bad and had just a horrible effect.

I'm pretty happy now, most of the time, but it was so not how I'd planned for things to go.

Thanks, RG. Your honesty about what you went through was actually a huge wake-up call for me.

And for an amusing story I cannot post elsewhere ...we bought antag black jeans to wear for the wedding. For a change he actually bought pants that fit and wernt all saggy and now he is bitching that they are tight. Jeans are supposed to fit you dude.

aaww. That's cute.

In other news, I got on the scale and I am down 10 lbs from when I first started my dietary changes. That about about 6 weeks ago. Needless to say I am so HAPPY!!! I know it's a very slow process. But I'm finding that even if I get off plan sometimes.. it's OK. I'm not beating myself up for eating the "wrong" things some of the time. As long as it isn't a habit where I eat crap every day, then I'll be fine.

I drank caffeine yesterday (iced tea) and I COULD NOT FALL ASPEEP!!! ugh. Not good.

That's awesome, tricia!! I need to make some tweaks to my diet - mainly to lunch, I think - and up my exercise and get more consistent about my morning workouts.

great job tricia!!!

i know it is not all hormones, but i think it played a HUGE part into why things have been so shitty for three years. DH is not a cuddler or a touchy feely guy, so most of our physical contact is in "bed" and we just had none.

DH is very physical, but it got to the point where I felt like I was constantly being grabbed or touched or whatever - either DH or Reid, one of them was constantly hanging off of me. And with DH, it always had the undertone of, "let's do more," so it got to the point where I couldn't even trust that a hug was just a hug.  :nono:

I need a Coke so bad.  I need my afternoon caffeine!

I have $40, but none of it is $1s or coins, so I can't get one.

I'm almost considering coffee, but we don't have real liquid dairy (half and half, or even milk) which means that it won't taste good to me if I have it.  :(

:'( i think DD has another urinary tract infection. drs appt at 7:45am, argh.  :fiery: DH does not want her on antibiotics, again, but i disagree in this instance. ugh. looks like if we feed her baking soda in the future, it will help with the pH. Oh and her CHIP application has not been finalized so as of tomorrow she is uninsured :( :( :( wtf? i called the lady and left her a voicemail (CHIP lady) and email. She is a flippin fruit cake.

Oh man meri, that sucks.  I hope your little feels better soon.
Diablita, hope you're back to 100% soon.
Debba, yay for doing so well on vacation!
RA, good for you!!!  That is great to notice the backsliding and putting an end to it.

As an aside, I freaking hate hormones.  I am so easily controlled by my hormones.  I felt tons better with the Mirena taken out but with anti-anxiety meds it killed my libido again.  I'd rather be happy & loving towards DH with less sex than angry/bitchy with him and more sex.  We've finally gotten a good balance...although he would prefer daily.

I think I'm done with my post-vacation slump.  I had a nice 5 mile run yesterday that boosted my mood.  I also had an interview and got a job offer today!  Yay & boo!  So, I'll be a part-time pharmacy tech once I do some training & the background check/drug test comes back OK.  We definitely need the income but I am really going to miss my babies.

Meri, sorry to hear about the little one. I am all for toughing it out... but a uti can turn into a kidney infection without antibiotics and then they bring out the big guns- which is no fun at all. I went through a period of time in my early 20's where I got a uti and then I would "cure" it by drinking massive amounts of water. It would come back every 6 months or so. Well, finally I couldn't stand it anymore and turned out I had a kidney infection. They gave me the option of getting admitted or getting an antibiotic shot. I thought the shot sounded better and I'm not really afraid of needles but that shot hurt SO bad!!! Anyway- this is one time dh just doesn't get a vote. Sorry.  :P

Oh wow, Bolloxd!  That's a big change but I think you'll find it's a good one.  P/T means you still get to spend a lot of time with them, but time for them to become a little bit independent and you too.  Good luck with the change.

RA, interesting link.  thank you

Bolloxd, OMG, every day would drive me insane. If he thinks he's not getting enough, I'll give you DH's cell number - have him call DH and ask how bad it CAN be. :D As for the job, that sounds like a great compromise - a good opportunity for you and P/T so you still get lots of time with the twins. It was really hard going back to work when Reid was 16 months, but we were in the same situation - we needed the money. My job pays crap, but it covers daycare and gives us a little wiggle room in the budget, which we need.

Of course, then DH went out and got a better job with a massive pay increase, so maybe I could have stayed home, but day care has been GREAT for Reid. He's really blossomed.

Meri, I'm not big on overdoing antibiotics, either, but UTIs and bladder infections? Yeah, that's when you NEED them.

Scale was down a bit again this morning - yay!!! And even though I knew how the gymnastics competition was going to end last night, I still stayed up and watched it.  :luvcoffee:

Lol.  Yeah DH would be thrilled with daily and I'm ok with every other week. Once a week is the norm for now but some extra is usually appreciated. That is way TMI.  He still asks daily though.

I have been asking DH daily and he is like, WOAH! the tables have turned! and then i mimic the stuff he used to say to me when i said no sex, LOL. it is quite amusing.

yep, antibiotics for 10 days, i do not want to mess around with a UTI. She is not old enough to force massive amounts of water or cranberry juice on either :D

Deb, yay for the dropping scale.  I'm horrible for staying up late too.  zzz
Meri,  hoping the antibiotics work quickly!

Oh, so I just got called for another interview tomorrow doing other lab work that I would also enjoy.  It is also part time but not sure about the pay-google says it would be a little more.  It's a little further from home though but may be better experience for the resume.  Of course, they'd have to offer me the job before I have to make decisions but I'm thinking ahead.  It is also the place I took my drug test yesterday for the CVS job.  Maybe I could play them off each other for higher pay.

Going to have a run soon, once the kids take a nap.
