You should have stabbed her somewhere that would make her gain weight.

Courtney...maybe you need a motivator. Is there something you really want or a non food treat you can give yourself for staying on track?

Stuff like that never works for me...  I don't really want anything that bad, apparently.  :D

I've been reading the thread, just not much chance to post.    to all of you!

I think the kids are *finally* over whatever bug it was they caught.  Still some coughing but they are acting happier lately.  We attempted camping again - it was cut short and we came back into the house to sleep.  Rachel hit me with a flash light which gave me a nice cut on the forehead w/plenty of bleeding which freaked David out require him to be cuddled while I tried not to get blood on everything.  Otherwise, if I could get them to sleep instead of bouncing around in the tent all night then we could have a lot more fun.

Anyway... because of their illness and my TOM, I finally got a chance to run yesterday and again today with DH.  Food consumption has been average.  It seems like I can only focus on one thing, rather than the combo of everything.  Either eat well, exercise regularly, have a clean house, or fill in the blank....getting them all completed to an acceptable standard is too much for me to handle.

meri - throwing out food is not the end of the world.  I tossed some pound cake the other day.  It hurts though!

Seriously, I can't seem to find anything I want badly enough to motivate me. I'm going to try the tiny habits theory instead. See if that makes a difference.

I've been reading this thread regularly but not checking in, since I haven't been doing much in the way of fitness lately. But I finally went running today, first run since getting my tonsils out four weeks ago.  2.4 miles.  I was kind of dreading running again since it's been so long, and thought I'd probably have to walk some of it.  I ran the whole thing though, and I feel great about that.  I've pretty much maintained the weight I've lost since surgery, despite not exercising.  I'm pretty pleased with that as well.  Wedding in just over 6 weeks, so hopefully I'll hold steady where I'm at.  Also hopefully my weight won't change when I start taking birth control next month!  I've been on this pill before and I actually lost about 5 lbs (this particular pill has diruetic effects, so I'm sure it was just water weight), so hopefully this go-round will be the same deal.

Now to make dinner:  salmon with lemon parsley pasta.  I'll eat it tonight with a side of veggies, and tomorrow I'll make the leftovers into a green salad dressed with lemon wedges and olive oil.

That sounds good.

Holding pretty steady from yesterday. I'm damn sore from the gym the other night, so lots of DFW today should get things back on track. I've been fine points-wise, so there's no good reason that I shouldn't lose this week, even if it's just a little bit.  :fingers:

There is no way I'd be able to eat that many baby carrots. No. Way.

Yeah, I couldn't handle that many carrots either.  I hope you feel better meri.

I was so hungry all day yesterday.  I couldn't get enough food and even woke up hungry in the middle of the night....I've only done that once before when I was preggo.  Must be the running.  I did another 4 miles on the treadmill today.  We took the kids to the gym to play this morning, too, so that was some extra exercise.

I bought a bunch of fresh fruit/veggies from the store today to attempt healthier eating.  I'm hoping it won't go bad before I can eat it.

Just the *thought* of that many carrots makes me want to barf. Good God. I can't even fathom it.

I've been eating veggies and hummus with my lunch and it's going pretty well, I guess. It's got to be better than the pretzels I used to eat.

I'm embarassed to admit that I could easily eat an entire bag of cheetos, probably regarless of the size of that bag.

They are orange, too, so it's on topic, right?  :D
