the other night DD was talking in her sleep about kangaroos! then when she woke up, DH told her there was a kangaroo in her room and she flipped out, LOL!!!!

oh and Stacy's Pita chips have crack in them, they must. Thankfully i only bought them at the market, and not the Costco size bag and only like a few crumbs are left.

LOL! Reid is pretty unintelligible when he babbles in his sleep. It's pretty funny, though, usually.

Let's see, I forgot to grab my new container of hummus for my veggies, so I ended up going for something else to add to my lunch, and that ended up being cookies and a muffin. *headdesk* Hmph.

I can't buy the pita chips anymore.

Oh, I love the pita chips! I also love pretzle chips and those flax chips. YUM!

I find that running causes my weight to swing wildly upwards. Why is that? Like, I went for a run last night and this morning? Up 2lbs. It makes no sense.

Sore muscles? Water retention? Haven't you been out of commission because of your ankle?

Yes, I have been. I just started running again a couple of weeks ago after I got my cortisone shot. I don't drink anything like gatorade. I just drink water. I'm running for an hour at a time (well running part of it, walking part of it) so not longe enough to need anything more than plain water at the end.

That often happens to me also. Are you sore?

i am having a hard time not eating everything in the house! i think because it is such variety that we never have, like veggies and dip. yummmmmy. looking forward to getting back into routine with work tomorrow. Next week i plan on starting the 2-a-day runs again, but i am so tired, i cannot even think about that right now :D

meri, that kind of variety is really dangerous for me, too

we have DD's birthday party in 2 weeks (1 month later b/c she wanted it at the pool).  I'm in trouble!

Could it just be getting back into the swing of things after time off? Or a weird side effect of the shot?

In other news, I love getting acupuncture. No idea how it works or what's going on in there, but I love it. SO relaxing.

my period is due end of the week, so like the genius i am, i got on the scale and was up all 6lbs i lost in the past month.  :argh: i am pretty sure it is just PMS because i know in the past, i could easily gain 6-8lbs prior to my period. really one bad day of eating? and not even that bad.....

Meri, don't beat yourself up please. You also had extra sodium in that food, I'm sure, so the combo could easily be attributable and temporary.

I feel the same way.

Only mine is a combo of factors...I get too lazy to work out, I just want to eat some yummy food, and I think I am sick with some intestinal thing which makes the concept of running unappealing.

Courtney, take a deep breath. Or several. Put away (in the trash, if necessary) whatever it is you're binging on, if that's what you're doing. What baby steps can you take to get back on track? Do them.  You'll get there. I have faith in you.

i think i need to toss the rest of the bday leftovers. there is just sooooo much and DH swears no one he works with would want it  :eyeroll: i have these massive bowls of pasta salad and sesame noodles, not something i would generally eat. i have been eating the brown rice salad left overs and my friend's DH wants a bunch of it so i will drop it off there tomorrow. I also need to toss the dips. DH ate the rest of the cake and there is one cupcake left, so i think i am safe from that.

I have tossed food before.  Like, ice cream.    It was hard to do because I felt guilty about wasting food and money, but it had to be done.
