Due to a hip injury, I cannot run.  Whenever I stop running, I lose weight. Not that I have to, but still, it feels nice to have some wiggle room. I was at 116 this morning.

Ice Cream  :'( on your injury and  >:( on your weight and losing it when you can't exercise. Get well soon.

Kale Chips! Mine get too crispy in spots too, I eat them anyway.

That jiggly fat thing is weird.

I bought half a papaya and a container of julienne fresh raw beets which I love but never make myself and had that on arugula with goat cheese, chicken and TJ's champagne vinaigrette which I add a little Dijon mustard too.

Hi!  I keep wanting to try kale chips...  I've heard they are really good.

Meri, do you want a TRX?  I have one, and would sell it to you for a great deal if you are interested.  THere is one at our onsite gym at work.

SG, I'll PM you with some of the resources :)

I had a kick ass spin class this morning.  90 min, and I really made it tough!  It was fun!

I loved taking spin but the classes at my gym don't fit in with my schedule now.

I am coloring my hair and then I will make a similar dish to what I made Mom last week with the lemon Pappardelle and shrimp. I ate the asparagus all up last night so I will sub frozen peas I guess.

3/4 cup baked beans, 1/2 toasted cheese/mustard/onion sandwich and a big salad with hummus dressing for lunch. Feeling fat & happy. Lunches are so much easier on days I'm home.

I think I'm going to do black bean and lentil soups. It's just easy and I know I'll eat them. I might make moong dahl too. I really liked it and will eat it eventually- even if not every day.

Courtney..I, too, see myself in your words. I would buy food and eat it on the way home and try to find a way to get the packaging into the trash so DH would not know. After a while, I would tell Dh what I had done...to take away the shame and also to own up to what I was doing. He never judged or lectured. Instead he would tell me what he did that day that he wasn't proud of. Between that, and talking to my therapist (inspired to see one by your blog..just so you know) I learned a lot about my triggers, and myself.

Run Amok...good job! Maybe seeing your current low will help keep you motivated. Sorry you missed out on SF, though. :(

Meri, I usually have several servings of veggies. It helps me feel full!

I am/was tired today. I managed a Jillian 30ds, and some house cleaning. Wasn't very hungry most of the day. We are having roast chicken and broccoli, and now I am starting to feel hungry! It smells great.

Tomorrow is Step (yay) and then to a friends house to learn how to put the binding on my first quilt. It is our turn to do Sunday dinner, and it is also a birthday celebration. I hope to stay focused on my food intakes!

Binging isn't really my issue, but I've definitely hidden food from dh. He teases me mercilessly about what I eat (I know he thinks it's in good fun... but it bugs me) so if I buy candy, it lives in my car. I'll eat a piece or two on my drive here or there. Then, of course, he finds all the wrappers...

I only hide shoes from my dh.  But I do prefer eating alone, I always have.  I also prefer eating with my fingers whenever possible.

Tonight's dinner was a chicken pot pie with lots of veggies.  The crust was a miserable failure.  It was too dry to roll out, so I ended up over-working it to integrate more water and it got tough and nasty.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

She's an awful, awful human being.

I tend to trust Mini on these issues

Bummer! I hate that!

One thing I'll say is that I still struggle with the right sized portions. Now, 2.5 months in, I *know* I am happy and satisfied with the i-diet portion sizes. They are enough. I feel satisfied, but not stuffed (sometimes I do feel stuffed). But, my brain ALWAYS says- you don't want half a sandwich, you want a WHOLE sandwich. Then I get mad at myself for caving and (inevitably) eating the whole thing. Staying ahead of hunger does help this, but I'm not very good at eating 6-7 times a day.

I do agree that anything should be ok in moderation. Eventually. But, the reality is that if I want to lose weight, I need to keep my calories low and it just doesn't leave a lot of room for ice cream and cheetos. I can eat 100 calories a day (3tbs of premium ice cream or about 10 chips) or save up and splurge to the tune of 400 calories a little less than twice a week, without impacting weightloss. I'd generally rather have a couple of beers or a couple of glasses of wine so that means there just isn't too much room for crap. When I get to my goal weight, there will be more room. But, for now, indulging slows my weightloss. I'm ok with more like 1lb a week of weight loss, but lately I haven't even been there, so I do feel like there's still room to refine how much "indulgence" allow to creep in.

Courtney- don't feel like you're being pushy. The discourse is good!

Nice work Jamers! I'm about 50/50 in that scenario. I either eat anyway or skip it.

I had potato skins (scooped ALL of the middle out and the broiled with some parm and seasoning and topped with 2tbs of low fat sour cream and some green onions), 1 cup of  braise cabbage and 3 slices of field roast (it's seitan-like product). Sooooo tasty and around 300 calories for the whole plate.

Throw the wrappers out of the window while you drive. Far less harmful than having DH find out.  :)

:D I know that post made him sound like a total asshole. I should probably delete it. I don't think he actually CARES how much candy I eat. I think he finds it very humorous. It's a moot point, since I no longer eat candy.  :P

OMG.  I made yogurt in the crockpot yesterday....it is incredible!  I can never find a small container of plain yogurt at the grocery store, so I bought Tillamook vanilla yogurt.  I've never had it before, and the vanilla flavor is incredibly strong.  It flavored up my whole batch of yogurt beautifully!  It is so thick that I don't really need to strain it, but I decided to strain it a little bit because it made more than I can really eat by myself and straining reduces the volume.  Oh, it's so good!  I did add about 1/2 cup sugar and a cup of powdered milk, and used about a half gallon of milk to make it.  Nom nom nom, it is so much better than ice cream.
