I came home crying to DH and told him and he was like, YOU ARE NOT FAT!!!!!!!!!! So in the past three weeks, two people asked if i was pregnant and one asked how much weight had i gained since the summer :( 6 fucking pounds beotch.

People really can suck it.  One of my boxer's told me recently, "You need to start  running more.  You're putting on weight.  I say this out of love."  It took every ounce of restraint I had not to say, "I don't get paid to weigh a certain amount.  You do.  And you embarrassed the crap out of my at you last fight when I had to go to the promoter the day before the televised weigh-in and tell him that there was no way you  were going to make weight because you snuck out to Dairy Queen every day when you were in training
camp."

As for today, DD wants homemade hot and sour soup, and while I'm at it I think I'll make some other kind of soup we can eat for lunches this week.

dude, this woman patted my belly and said, oh are you pregnant!!!!!!  :e) I was wearing a cute shirt under a cardigan that was empire waist, but not baggy, pretty slim fit. WTF????

WTF is right.. I was at a barre amp class with MY TWENTY FIVE  year old daughter and I am 51 and since I am old and hard of hearing I didn't even hear the instructor ask me this but my daughter was like " the instructor asked when you were due" and apparently kept giving pregnancy modifications during the class.. I mean WTF !!! I was with  my TWENTY FIVE year old daughter and I'm 51 and uterusless... how could you even hint that I was pregnant..

I thought of sending a complaint/suggestion to the gym about instructors not asking this unless they were sure, but I didn't bother.. I never went to another barre amp class though  :fiery: :fiery: :fiery: :fiery:

Glad I am not the only one who has gone thru this, but sad that we all have! LOL.

Do you wear TED hose while you're pregnant?  My sister has to.  They are not attractive, but prevent cankles.

No. I probably should look into it, but I just haven't bothered. The swelling goes down overnight. Getting more exercise would help.

So my friends and i took our DD's to an amusement park last night for thei Xmas thing and then to CiCi's pizza bc my friend wanted to go to one badly and there are none near us. It was like a kid's dream restaurant! LOL. I had to cut DD off from eating, she ate so much and then had a bad tummy ache that night :( anywho, i tried to be good and had two plates of salad and just a couple small pieces of pizza. Could have been worse! LOL. My friends wanted to do Froyo after and i was like, no way! My kid may explode! LOL.

I cannot believe all these people who would make pregnant comments like that! Don't they know what women's bodies look like?!? Lacking that, at least have the manners to keep your mouth shut.

We went up to visit friends for their annual Christmas party this weekend, and it was a great time. I totally blew any semblance of healthy eating...lots of party food (so good!), drinks (many vodka tonics), and then a cheeseburger and fries for lunch the next day, before hitting the road to drive home. But it was totally worth it and I enjoyed it all. So I start a good on-plan week as of today.  :)

sometimes it is totally worth it :D

yeah, what is wrong with people? told my friends at dinner last night and they were like, you definitely do NOT look pregnant, maybe because you are thin (awww, shucks) and you were sitting, your shirt poofed out? But seriously, wtf is wrong with people?

I don't know what is wrong with me.  I was motivated to eat well yesterday, and then I got all stressed out and ate half a box of peanut brittle.  Then I was stressed out that I ate the peanut  brittle.  Then I was making grilled cheese sandwiches for the kids and I burned one so I ate that, too.  The only good note is that I made myself log the calories, so at least I know what I did.

I did have a nice quick run this morning before I woke the kids up for school.  I have a lunch date with my husband to the "big salad" place, and then sparring this afternoon, so hopefully I'm back on track.

I would have cut a bitch who dared to make pregnancy comments around me.  No, I just have a gut, OK?

Blue, I did some stress eating over the weekend too, and was rewarded with a 7 pound swing on the scale (likely due to salt, but still!!! 7 fucking pounds of water?).  That sort of thing annoys the hell out of me.  I have to work hard every day to get each pound off, but they bounce on with glee the moment I step out of line, even briefly.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

She's an awful, awful human being.

I tend to trust Mini on these issues

I feel like crap. My allergies are killing me - at least, I hope it's allergies, and not a cold - and all I want to do is sleep, but I can't, because I'm at work. And somehow they managed to turn on the heat in our room ONLY, so it's broiling in here and it's supposed to be in the 80s today, so really, no need for heat at ALL. Ugh.

On the plus side, the scale was cooperating relatively well this morning. My next dr. visit is on Friday, so I'm hoping I can keep things where they are.

Debba-- time for acupuncture????

I slogged an hour on the TM, more walking than anything, but moving is good, right?

I just went a couple of weeks ago - can't afford another treatment until my next scheduled appt. I wish! And good job on the TM!

I drank and ate too much at my Christmas party on Saturday night, then ate greasy food the next day, too.  :D  I don't know what it is about the day after drinking, but a burger and fries is pretty much the best thing ever.  I then used that as an excuse to eat shit all day, tho.   :nono:  My stomach hurt badly last night.

Yeah, it was all I could think of - having a cheeseburger and fries.

But likewise, my stomach definitely has issues with not being used to eating that kind of stuff!

I'm definitely an advocate of grease to mop up the effects of drinking the night before.  I love a grilled cheese with fries.

Heh. My mom and I got exceedingly drunk at a friend's wedding once, drunk enough that my very health-conscious mother got the munchies after we got back to our hotel and ordered PIZZA. And the next day at lunch, the waitress did her usual spiel about appetizers and mentioned queso, and my mom's eyes lit.up. and she said, "Ooooooh, QUESO!!! YES!!"

It was hilarious. And yes, grease is the best thing ever for a hangover.

:D

We had grease for lunch and grease for dinner.  That is why I felt so bad when I went to bed!  No grease today.  I'm going to get either a salad from qdoba or a baked potato from wendy's for lunch.

Grease really messes me up right now. I suspect (and have suspected in the past) that my gallbladder isn't functioning at 100%, and having problems with greasy food is one of the symptoms. Which sucks, because a cheeseburger is one of my favorite things ever. :(
