Too personal. Too traumatic. Too big and overwhelming. To risky in terms of judgement from others, and probably judgement of myself.

I am still skeptical that the group will help. But willing to show up for the next 7 weeks. The hardest part is over, I think.

That's exactly what everyone fears, RA...     In an environment like that, I hope you find what you need to cope/deal/etc.  I'm glad you are giving it a shot.

Thanks, guys.

RA, I'm really glad you went to the group, and I hope it becomes something that is even more helpful. Doing the hard work will only help in the long run.

RA: Good for you!  I could never handle a group; one single therapist in the room was already a lot to handle.

I'm headed to the airport in a bit to fly to a fight, and then fly right back as soon as it's over and I have . . . A bag full of fruit!!!  I'm hitching a ride on with my associate in his plane, and he's one of those people who burns a million calories a day in nervous energy, so he never seems to worry what he eats. He always has mounds of crap on the plane and then eats a half a cow for dinner, and then more crap on the flight back. I made the mistake of telling him a while ago that I love red velvet cake, which he had never had, so last time we had a trip, he had red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting from some bakery near his house. I ate 3, plus a lot of other stuff. Not good.  When I got home, I had trouble sleeping because I was so stuffed.  I'm determined to do better today, though. I hate being the "dieter," but I can't eat like that. Unfortunately, I get Ito the mindset that "we'll, it's just for today," but there are an awful lot of "todays" this time of year.

Go blue!  And what a fun trip!  Where are you headed and in what kind of plane?

Flying out of little FBOs in small planes is such an adventure.

GAAAAAAAAH. So, I put on a few pounds over Thanksgiving. Some of it came off nicely, great. Some of it stuck around, eh, that's to be expected. I figured out what a lot of it was last night. I got home, and my left ankle was totally swollen up. Puffy.As.Hell. My right ankle, too, but not as bad as the left. It's all fluid. DAMMIT. I was hoping I'd go a little longer before that started up. Thing is, I can't lose fluid weight while pregnant. If my body decides to puff up like a blowfish (it did last time), well, there you have it.  >:(

My ankles are still slightly puffy this morning, but not as bad.

And I seriously doubt it's a symptom of anything bad. It happened last time, too, and there was never any problem. I just retain water and possibly make enough blood to support 5 people while pregnant.  :grr:

We're going to New York for the Cotto/Trout Fight in MSG!  I'm super excited. The plane is a Cessna "mini-jet.". I'm sure it has a number or real name or something.  It really is a great way to travel. No lines, no stress, in and out. If you can't be rich, it's nice to have a rich friend. The guy I'm going with co-manages one of my fighters with me. He loves boxing and has a great business mind but has picked a lot of loser fighters over the years.  I think he keeps me around because I can spot good undeveloped talent better than he can and I don't get on his nerves. I am lucky to go along with him, even if he tries to make me fat.

I did the same exact thing with both of my pregnancies. It sucks to be a blowfish!!!

Meri, if I drink more water, I'll float away or get hyponatremia. I drink close to 5 liters a day already.

And blue, I'm SO GLAD it's not just me!

At least I know what's causing it. I mean, yeah, we went a little bonkers over Thanksgiving weekend, but not THAT crazy. And I've been behaving myself, food-wise, all week. So the extra pounds made NO sense until I saw the cankles last night.

Still. SO. FRUSTRATING.

Do you wear TED hose while you're pregnant?  My sister has to.  They are not attractive, but prevent cankles.
