And since I'm feeling chatty: tomorrow is my excision.  Turns out the melanoma is not in-situ, it's Stage 1 invasive.  So I'm having the excision done tomorrow and then my friend (a plastic surgeon) will do a skin graft next Tuesday to close it up provided the pathology shows clean margins.  I could use a bit of vibing.

Sending you good thoughts and vibes that everything will go well for you.

Sorry- I'm kind of catching up on the last few pages of posts.  :P

Courtney.. could you stay in a hotel next time to avoid the whole smoke-filled house? I would not be able to handle that. So inconsiderate of guests. And I HATE when people comment on what I'm eating or not eating. Leave me alone FFS!

Debba..Questions about your beef with broccoli: What cut of meat do you use? Mine is always tough. Do you marinate it first?

Staying in a hotel would result in WW3 with the in-laws.  :D

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

She's an awful, awful human being.

thanks for all the vibes.  excision completed.  It was a bit weird when they turned on the exhaust just before the procedure and I realized that it was for the cautery and basically the same as the hood over my range.

Just catching up - glad the excision went well and vibes for clean margins!!

And tricia, we use boneless sirloin or flank steak. I think the key is getting pretty small bits in there so they cook quickly and evenly. Last time it worked great. :)

Still keeping my fingers crossed, Di. Hoping, hoping, hoping for clean margins!

Welcome blue! We chat a bit about everything here so hop right in. =)

10 miles in the past two days, feels great. A little sore today. Planning to run to the gym tonight and do a core class then run or bus home. We'll see. It's uphill all the way there and a gentle slope all the home. :)

I have been feeling really good about my eating this week. Eating mostly on plan. Seem to be skipping my afternoon snack, but picking up those calories at dinner. Last night dinner was around 460 calories, so a little more than plan, but not terrible. I was a little hungry before bed, but not enough to do anything about it.  :P I am really glad that I took 8 months, or so, to really focus on calories in before calories out. In the past trying to diet AND excercise all at once was just too much. But fixing the diet first and losing a bunch of weight has made it so much easier to get back into running without being starving all the time.

I was thinking, last night, how sucky it is to be female sometimes. I am either nearly powerless to resist cravings, or not craving anything at all, totally depending on where I'm at in my cycle and it just seems like such an injustice. But, it is what it is, as they say.

My counselor has convinced me that group sessions could be helpful to me. I don't actually know if I can manage talking about this with other people. It seems an impossibility. But I am going to try. First session is tomorrow evening. So, a few extra miles leading up to that couldn't hurt.

I've been seeing nice runs on endomondo, RA!  We should start our own little group 'challenge' just to track our runs.  It's fun to catch your friends while they're out and send pep talks.  Have you ever gotten one before?  Hilarious!

Anyone else in this group on endomondo besides us and debba?  Does RioG post in this group (she is)?

I can just see meri in the news feed:
meri is running blah blah blah
meri is still running blah blah blah
meri won't stop running blah blah blah

RA- I love running to the gym and taking a class, but my gym is just about 1.25 mi from my house. It takes me soooo long to warm up to the point that exercise is enjoyable, that if I drive and take the class I'm miserable most of the time.

I have that problem too. It takes me at LEAST 2 miles to stop grumbling about being out there.

I didn't know I was, either! :D I need to check it out, though. I want to get back to walking, soon. I've been sleeping like crap lately, though, which makes it hard to get up at 5.  :grr:
