It does feel good. I am very short, just so it doesn't sound like I am bragging about the small size. I still think I look pretty average in size, and am not a small framed person for my height.

Good job!

So I ran today , a little over 6.5 miles and my last 3 were under 9 min mile base but it felt easy to me. I'm already noticing a difference in my running which is the main reason to do this. I want to be faster and run another marathon and maybe even qualify for Boston again

Yeah, MoS!!! I am going to the NJ Marathon if you are interested in a flat, easy spring race :)

When is it?

I'm trying to get my speed up because for the month of December I've been promised one night a week of running with you know who.. His easy easy day.. my tempo day!!!  Although, even on my tempo day I won't be able to run as fast as his easy day..

May 10th is my nieces wedding, so that probably wouldn't work... thinking of a possible trip to Pineland...

Pineland Farms? Not a fast race, all trails, a fun time and a big party.

Back down to a pound less than Friday - 3 less than yesterday?  The scale makes no sense.

My husband offered me a pumpkin donut and slice of custard pie, and I declined both.  He ate 'em.  He's trying to lose too, but only in a half-hearted not giving up desserts kind of way.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

I went to a cake cupcake party last night. Gorgeous cakes and cupcakes. I.did.not.eat.a.crumb.
Somehow I think it's easier to resist when you are a) in the first week of a program and b) paying a rjdiculous amount of $$ for someone to tell you what to eat and you have to report back to him what you ate and your weight.

Almost back to pre- vacation weight!  Now comes the hard part: 10 lbs by Jan 1.

I am so ready for the Holiday WLC.

Holidays will be tough. I am determined to keep things really on track for the next week and a half (!!) until Thanksgiving, and then Christmas will be coming up pretty quickly. Luckily we don't have many holiday parties or things like that, but there will be the family gatherings.

I just want to keep on track and not lose ground over the holidays. Anybody have any strategies? My first one might be offering to host Thanksgiving so I can keep the dishes on the lighter side with plenty of veggies.

Holidays are tough for us, too. Thanksgiving, Reid's birthday party, the in-laws come in - which makes cooking difficult, although I might try a little harder this time - Christmas, New Year's....  :panic:

So I took DD to the new preschool today, she LOVED LOVED LOVED it, that is, until she realized that it meant leaving her current place :( She loved it so much so that we were getting ready to leave and she wanted to go back to the purple classroom (that would be hers) for another 20 minutes! She played in the playground, which is beyond awesome, for at least 30 minutes. They were like, she can start tomorrow if you want and i was like, oh, i was thinking january, but may consider Dec 1. I have to talk to her current place now. ugh. She will go there 2 afternoons for 2-3 hours, so she won't be totally gone.

Awww, that's awesome that she's all fired up about the new place, and bittersweet that she's sad about not being at her current spot as often. But her current place, that director sounds nuts. You're doing the right thing.

I know. DH is going to go Wed night (although it will be empty of kids! LOL) to check it out. To say the playground was incredible is a far understatement. It is 2.5 acres (the playground!!) and is just full of amazing things for them. It is wooded and across from all these farms. It is a few miles from our house (4?) but in an area i have never ventured to. It is a parent cooperative, so each parent (well, one per kid) has to do 3 hours a week as a classroom aid, i could easily do Tues mornings. Now we have to decide to start her now or in January. Now being Dec 1. And then i have to talk to insane director lady :(
