Ra...I hope that today is a better day for you.  I admire the fact that you went out and got fresh air and moved around when you are in the dumps.  I usually sit around and wallow. I hope you got a good nights rest.

Deb...OMG I would be dead after that much wine. Even spread out over time.  The food sounds good though! What book did you discuss?

Meri, poor dd!  Maybe a little ice will help?

Bollxd, What is the job? I must have missed it.  Good for you for managing to get a run in....keep it up. Starting over sucks!

we had sunday dinner at our friends place. Their turn to cook.  It was very good green curry over ling cod, cous cous and a green salad. Fresh blackberry pie and vanilla ice cream for desert. It is a once a week thing...thank goodness...so I am not too worried about the scale being up this morning.
I plan on eating light today. Veggies, and tuna salad for lunch. maybe an apple and pb for my snack.  I meet my trainer after work for some one on one torture.

I need to make an appt with my massage/art person...I am feeling a little hip flexor rearing its ugly head. bah.  It kept me awake last night until I finally got up and took some advil.

hope you get that massage soon! DD won't let me touch it or put ice on it. She is running around playing and not seeming stopped by it, at least!

I am glad to be back at work today. It's hard to sit around and wallow when you are sharing a 1 bedroom apartment with a 14 year old. ;) DD decided she wanted to sleep with me last night, which was fine except she kept rolling around. So, unfortunately, not so much on the good night's sleep.

Thinking of going for a run after work. We'll see...

The food was delicious, and we read Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Really good book, actually. :)

Good morning.  I was on a good trend but with friends visiting from out of town I ate too much junk over the last two days.  And I'm PMSing.  So I am even today and my blood sugar feels ugh.  It doesn't help that I baked a lemon zucchini cake with icing; did I get that recipe from someone here?

meri, I hope your DD is ok.  That sounds painful.

In the meantime, it's quiet in our 'hood today.  I'm pretty sure our hearing is tomorrow.  It should be interesting.

still over an hour until dr appt and that means no time for nap, unless she snoozes in the car there :( it looks a bit less swollen, we saw a friend today and the mom was like, holy cow, yep, get to the dr. It most likely looks like a really swollen bug bite, but because it is on her joint, i am taking her. It is huge and red :( I photographed it on my phone just in case it magically disappears before we get there, we have taken her to the dr so many times for rashes in her 3 years of life and half the time she is fine by the time we get there, LOL. She had hives for a week that came and went, at the dr, none, 2 hours later, covered head to toe! LOL

we went to lunch for sushi with her friend and mom and DD ate all my avocado sushi and asked for another order  :e) and learned how to eat edamame from the pod! wheee!

crossing my fingers that it's nothing big or easy to remedy.

And I've done that, too, meri.  I've also drawn a pen around the bump/problem when I was worried about it expanding to track it.

so, 3 hour round trip, and it is a bug bite :D At first glance she was very concerned about Lyme with such a large rash, but examined the bite itself and it was not consistent with a tick bite. whew. she said it was a really severe reaction, but i get the same thing, so i was not too terribly surprised. She was not too concerned with the severity of it, but noted it. (like not afraid of anaphalaxis).

It is swollen still, but not as red or hot. She was up all night though, maybe itching? I put cream on it. So I did not sleep at all. I cannot run today anyways, i have a dental cleaning, may fall asleep during that :D

Poor Z.

I'm starving today.  I don't know if it's just hunger or emotional frustration at the scale not moving despite staying on target with diet and exercise.  I'm slugging away at my coffee, hoping it's thirst.  But I just want to eat.   Pout.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

She's an awful, awful human being.

I tend to trust Mini on these issues

I am glad it is going to be okay, despite the itching and you not getting any sleep.  You must be super exhausted if you can fall asleep during a cleaning!

I had a tough training session yesterday. 95 lb Squats, pushups and these crazy Russian ab crunches. By the time we were done I could literally not do another pushup!
I am going to be sore  later today.
Today is a rest day for sure! Leftover grilled chicken and cauliflower for lunch. I will take an apple with PB for my snack.

DH went surfing this morning, and I am curled up in bed with the boys. Hank is snoring very loudly. I don't want to go to work today.

Sorry Mini- I hope the scale budges for you soon. Just remember that even if it gets stuck a bit, and even if it bounces around a bit, you've done a fantastic job keeping the overall trajectory downword. Your dedication has been an inspiration.  :)

I decided to walk into work today. In brand new shoes. I knew I was developing a  blister but discovered I'd given myself a nice bloody foot. Lovely. I do have emergency shoes here... but they are not exactly cute. I, too, am pouting.

Mouse that workout sounds insane. I wouldn't want to get up either!

Yikes, RA!

I was a slug again this morning. I slept through the alarms. Oops.

tons of vibes for you.  Can you give her some ibuprofen/tylenol to see if it reduces the fever?

it is only 100.9, i generally do not medicate until it get higher, let the fever do it's thing. new theory is she picked up something at the drs office yesterday  :eyeroll:

Gotcha.  I agree with the 'letting a low fever run its course' thing, but I was thinking that if it went down with the ibuprofen, it's more likely a bug.  And if not, not.
