That's a good thought, diablita. I wouldn't have thought so - I drink a ton of water throughout the day - but it's always possible. Hmmm.

I'm hoping to do yoga in the morning. If I start hacking after 4:30, I'm just going to stay up.

Netipot works pretty good for me. I also got rid of down pillows, which was tragic because I love my down pillows.

I am so woefully off track I don't know where to begin. So back to basics for me......

Could you get non-allergenic pillow cases for your down pillows?  I have no idea if that would help or not, but I just saw them at target and thought of this thread.

Good news - no coughing last night!! Yay!!!

Bad news - Reid woke up twice and insisted I sit in the chair in his room until he fell back asleep.  :luvcoffee: The only reason I got out of it the second time was because I'd been sitting there for 20 minutes, he was dozing and woke up when I stood up - I told him I had to go potty and I'd be right back. He was out by the time I tiptoed back to his room, so I went back to bed.

Too late!! I got rid of my old favorites about a year ago.   :sigh:  I actually like my temperpedic pillows....they took some getting used to, but now I think I prefer them.  They have better neck support.

Eating was okay yesterday.  I have not been working lout this week. I am feeling a little burnt I guess. I will focus on my eating again today.  Tomorrow I think we are heading up to the lagoon so we can paddle board.

Deb...glad you had a cough free night.  I know how good that feels!

i love my tempurpedic pillow, it is not the wave one but the just square one.

ran with DD in the stroller and still felt weak. I do, however, feel like i am finally clearing out the last of the congestion, i came home and blew my nose a million times. so i feel like i am getting better! finally.

MM, where did you get your air purifier?  How do those work?  I'm stuff a lot, and it's something we've thought about.

So, I've been not following my eating plan at all really... and was feeling quite chubby so I reluctantly stepped on the scale this morning. Imagine my surprise to have gained not a pound. I guess I've been doing a better job balancing the good with the bad. I've continued to try and follow plan for breakfast, lunch, and snacks (when I remember them) and most dinners. I've continued to avoid alcohol, candy, and non-plan snacks. But, I've been eating out wayyyyy too much lately! Time to reign it in! I'd still really like to lose another 10-15lbs but I'm happy enough where I'm at, for now.

All of my jeans are dirty right now, except for some of the ones that are now too big. I'm rockin' mom jeans today!

I think Lowes and/or Home Depot have them.  You can also order from nationalallergy.com.  Mine is similar to this one:  http://www.natlallergy.com/prod/1481/whirlpool-whispure-hepa-air-purifier-model-ap450.html  I do order my replacement filters online because I can't always get them in a store.

Good job, RA!

Potluck was... okay. I overdid the desserts, but didn't do *too* badly on the entrees. *shrug* We don't have them very often.

I'm drinking tea. My lunch was very disappointing because my usual place (the bakery next door) is closed still. They need to replenish their stock before they re-open Thursday. Must have lost a bundle of materials, yikes.

Yesterday we had a really nice salad for dinner. I'm sure it's not low fat, but I don't care about that. Greens, really nice canned sardines (I  :heartbeat: them), heirloom tomatoes and capers. Perfect for this hot weather.

I made THE best clean spaghetti sauce. It was a modified version of that tomato/pepper recipe someone posted.

Basically I sautéed fresh onions, red peppers, and LOTS of garlic until soft. Added fresh chopped tomatoes, a can of crushed tomatoes, some beef broth, and dried basil (fresh would have been better to add at the end, but I didn't have any!)

Simmered the crap out of that for like an hour.

Served it with brown rice noodles and ground beef added to the sauce. YUMMMMMM!!!!!!!!

I think it was Target (I know they had them but we may not have purchased there) or Home Depot. We bought the fancy one.

I didn't think about it until I went to Tim's moms house and they have a huge white fluffy dog and a huge white fluffy cat and I am allergic to both (mostly dogs). The first time I visited I was absolutely miserable...the next time they had purchased an air purifier for the guest room and I could breathe. It was amazing! We then bought one for our own house.

I'm totally intrigued by the air purifier idea now. :) Had a good workout at the gym - I was able to breathe! - and actually run on the treadmill a bit, so yay! Progress!

I think I'm on the mend  :fingers: at least! Thanks, everyone, for putting up with my whining about this for the past two weeks or however long it's been. Really hoping to get in some yoga tomorrow.

Good morning.  Happy 4th.

I am super exhausted.  The in-laws left at 5 am.  They always leave really early and drive straight through to either Florida or Toronto, depending on which direction they're going in.  Usually my parents in-law are very quiet when they do this, but with my SIL and niece here it sounded like a troop of monkeys.  So at 6 I gave up trying to go back to sleep and went for a run.  Happily DD and DH didn't wake up.

Hoping to get in a nap later.  We're going to a July 4th at the JCC swimming pool where we'll burn tons of calories chasing/tossing/catching Jessica in the water.  And I'll swim laps.  Then later she has gymnastics class and we'll watch fireworks.

How about y'all?

Reid and I are watching Sesame Street right now. We'll go to the park in a little bit for the neighborhood parade and then maybe to the Y to swim this afternoon. Or, maybe I'll just shell out the cash to join the neighborhood pool, too. I haven't decided yet. DH's boss had some big project, so they all "agreed" to come in today in exchange for a floating holiday later in the year that DH will probably never take.
