So, the parade was fun, Reid got to sit in a fire truck (I thought he was going to try and hide in there so he could go back with them), my parents came up for lunch, Reid didn't take a nap and threw a fit at the pool. DH got home about 20 minutes ago and is already making noise about not being able to handle Reid and being tired and blah blah blah. And there has been no consensus or decision on dinner.
Awesome! What are you doing?
DH was getting frustrated at one point this evening, because Reid wanted DH to do bath time, and DH *hates* bath time for some reason, and I was like, "I've been with him since you left the house at 6:45 and did I mention that he didn't nap??? FFS, man, give the kid a damn bath!"
Good morning. Happy 4th!Deb..I got my air filter at costco and it works great. I have it in the bedroom and I turn it on every night. I have been using it ofr 10 years now, and I truly believe it is a major component in my being able to breath in a household with dogs. (we vacuum every day, also). I am so used to the filter that I can't sleep without the white noise anymore either. I am going to try out my beautiful paddle board today!! My wetsuit came in so we are going to head up so Big Lagoon, where the dogs can runrunrun and I can paddle. We will see if they are interested in riding on it...which means I will be getting wet! (thats where the wetsuit comes in!) I am going to have to put my bathing suit on for the first time since Hawaii...and I am up 5 lbs. Ugh. I can't seem to get my juju back for getting on track again. Try try again....Today should be fun, and I will make every effort to be good. Have a great day everyone!
It's basically a clean eating plan. No processed stuff. In addition for me, it also means eliminating wheat, corn, most dairy, and sugar (honey, maple syrup, and stevia are allowed)I've been fairly militant about it, but am allowing myself some concessions so I won't beat myself up if I slip a bit. The main thing I've noticed is the elimination of wheat has made a BIG difference in how I feel in the afternoons. I have no brain fog and I am wide awake. I usually need a nap because of all the sandwiches I used to eat. I eat less, but more often.
I haven't specifically, on purpose eliminated soy, but I doubt I'm eating much of it now, too. I'm eating much cleaner as well (although I'm still eating dairy and corn), and I feel SO much better. I'm down a total of about 7 lbs still, which isn't a ton, but I'll take it. I'm tracking points again this week, hoping to see some more loss.
Tell me about paddle boarding... after I read this, I googled it, and the local reservoir does 2 hour lessons for $75 (that includes your gear), and I love water sports/activities. I'm trying to talk my DH into doing a lesson, but I do not forsee it actually happening. I want to know more about it to see if I want to go try it myself
Oh! One other HUGE thing I have cut out- Caffeine. Yup. No coffee. No tea. No soda.
