I think I finally have a handle of my food.

A while ago I posted that I have a really really hard time making good choices when going out to eat at restaurants. Well, the last few times we've gone out, I've made sure to order things on my plan. I wanted queso and enchiladas and quesadillas. Nope. I ordered grilled chicken. And I didn't even miss the other stuff. At all. So it's a start. Little by little. For now I stay away from restaurants that will totally blow my eating plan. DH suggested Five Guys.. and was like HELL NO!!!!

:roll:

We are having zucchini pancakes and chicken sausages for dinner tonight. I love the pancakes but I hate making them!

do you have a recipe, mm?  I have a fridge full of summer squash I'll need to work with tomorrow.  I'm determined to make everything from this week's farmshare box.

Let me look. I just grate zucchini, onion, and garlic and add some egg whites, flour, and seasoning and cook like pancakes but I can probably find a similar recipe online.

Just butter but sour cream or greek yogurt would be good.

This looks like a good recipe. I don't use parmesean cheese but I am sure that it would be yummy.

Good news - it doesn't look like wine book club destroyed my progress. Also good news - the asthma seems to be improving - I don't lose my breath walking across parking lots anymore.

Bad news - I'm still hacking up a lung at night, and occasionally during the day. Hmph.  :grr:

meri, that's right.  The zucchini tots did look good.  And thanks MG.

So my IL's arrived super late last night and they all slept in until nearly 9 this morning.  So did DH.  So when everyone was up I put on my sneakers and headed out for a run...but it was already in the high 80's.  craziness!  I managed to get in 4 miles.  Then we spent the afternoon at the pool and DD was a fish so a lot of calories burnt chasing, catching, tossing and tickling her in the pool.  A great way to burn calories.  :D

The clan is downstairs resting but soon we'll have a very simple dinner.  I was REALLY good about food today and shouldn't have been since weigh-in is tomorrow.  But I might have a beer.

That's weird!

So, the nightmares seem to be taken care of, for now. I actually got some sleep last night. Until 4:10, when I woke up hacking out my lungs. This is getting really, really old.

{{debba}}

We are exhausted today.  Between storms and fireworks last night, nobody slept very well.  I'm back on the wagon food-wise.  Because I got my period this morning and from the snacking this weekend I'm up 3 pounds from my last weigh-in.  And I think I'm coming down with something.  :luvcoffee:

Oh, yeah, fireworks. We only had a few last night, but they were loud. Didn't wake up Reid, thank goodness, because I'd have thrown *down* if that happened, but they scared the hell out of the dog. It's just going to get worse.  :sigh:

I'm kind of at a loss about how to deal with it. I mean, I take my cough medicine before bed. I slept until 4:10 or so, when I woke up hacking. Taking more cough medicine isn't really an option - it takes too long to kick in. I used my inhaler this morning, and that seemed to help, but it could have also just been sheer exhaustion.  :sigh:
