I am actually sick after looking at the forms. There is no health benefit coverage for DH, we would have to pay for all of us. The piece of crap plan is $700/mo, the half decent plan is $1150/mo  :sigh: talking to my insurance gal to see what other option we have. We may elect to do COBRA for 18 months if the amount the old HR lady's quote was correct, it was $600/mo for the best insurance out there.

yep. totally sucks. and here i am, a third night in a row, unable to sleep!  :bat: This cold is kicking my ass, but i think this is the end of it, my sinuses are draining like mad and the cough is subsiding. i just took an advil cold and sinus cause my face hurt.

I did, however, buy a timer for my crockpot and have some steel cut oats in there. Hopefully it does not burn like last time :D

You know it's a shitty expensive plan when COBRA at the old job is cheaper.  I'm sorry, Meri.  :(  That would have been a big deciding factor in taking the job, no?

UGH Meri. UGH UGH.  Health insurance concerns are the worst.  (And I'm afraid after this afternoon we'll learn things won't get much better.)

What the heck, his new employer has no company sponsored health care?  How many employees?  I thought they had to have it... Ughh.. that really stinks.

for him it would be (for the shitty plan) $160/mo, for the family (for the shitty plan) $700/mo, the good plan is close to $1200/mo. We had 100% paid full benefits, personal choice, from his previous employer. regardless of knowing this then or now, i think he should have still taken the job, but probably could have negotiated a higher pay rate. He said if things go well with the job, in a few months, he may ask for more pay.

In good news, I negotiated my office's lease renewal to lower it significantly and had them throw in a free gym membership as the owner of the building owns the gym (Sweat Fitness) behind my office!

In less than stellar news, i found the digital scale and it had me 3lbs heavier than my dial scale  :fiery: and i thought the dial weighed me heavy (esp when DD got on it and it weighed her 2lbs heavier and she is only 27 lbs and we weigh her on a fancy infant scale i won in a baby raffle, LOL. Unfortunately i am too big for fancy scale)

Nope.. I never go to Westchester but a ton of my co workers live there?  When are you going?  They all rave about a sushi place there if I look at their facebooks I can probably get the name.  I think it starts with a K?

Annoyed with myself today for not just running by myself instead of waiting for DH.  He's made excuses all day and put it off.  Now it's too late and I have a headache.   Blah, my hormones are pissing me off too.  At least ive eaten OK so far.

I also did my abs and push ups so that's a bonus.   I can tell I've been slacking because they hurt in a good way.

So. Tired. The cough came back this afternoon at work, with a vengeance. I'm heading off to bed soon. Hopefully I won't wake Reid up tomorrow like I did today.

thought of you today, LOL. I had a patient i had not seen in 10 months who was coming in with allergies/asthma after 2 days at Dave mathew's concert :D He said it was all the "smoke"

Anywho, I feel like death warmed over. I finally was able to sleep last night after 3 nights of no sleep with this cold/cough and DD was up ALL NIGHT. SHe had a slight fever when she woke up and got out of bed, but will take it again in a minute and see if it was just being bundled up in blankets and cuddling with me all night. I am not sure how i will even drive into work today. BUT i was down a pound on my dial scale, LOL. I asked DH if he thought one scale was different than the other and he was like i dunno. i may make him try both tonight :D

LOL, I've been to a Dave Matthews concert - luckily it was at Texas Stadium, and we were in the cheap seats, so not much "smoke" near us! But yeah, I can't imagine doing that now. I'd keel over and die. I made an appointment with the doctor for 11 AM, since this stupid cough has lasted a week. I can't keep living off of cough syrup and hoping I don't wake up in the middle of the night after it's worn off.

I will say, though, that before acupuncture, this would have been MUCH worse. It's helped me SO much. Plus, I get to nap while I'm laying there. :D

Yep, it's an asthma flare-up. She's calling in an Rx for a steroid inhaler to get the inflammation down, and I have an Rx in hand for the good cough syrup. Should be feeling better pretty fast, once I get to the pharmacy and get everything.
