Courtney, I could eat a whole bag of either!  And I'm not one for tahini, but I'd eat it with a whole lot of hummus or babaganoush.  (mmmm)

I was really good all day today but did have a higher carb dinner than I've been allowing myself lately: angel hair pasta with a bit of broccoli, quorn crumbles and some pasta sauce & cheese.  I had a portion and a half, in the past I would have eaten 2 or 3.

My leftover salmon salad was delicious.  I don't have it in me to run today.  (See the "my grandma died" thread in the CH)  Kenyan is coming tonight and we are going out to dinner, which won't be a hugely healthy affair but that's ok.  I'm going to go home to California this weekend to hug my mama, and I'll go running while I'm there, hopefully a couple of times.  I'll probably also exercise with my parents, either a walk with my mom or a hike with my dad.  Maybe both.

In happier news, I got time off approved to do Ragnar Wasatch Back again!  I'm on a Monty Python themed team called the Knights of Knee.  I am very excited about that!

I used to be able to eat a bag of carrots (or cheetos, for that matter), but I developed a texture aversion to them when I was pregnant - just the sight made me gag. I can't eat more than 4 or 5 raw baby carrots anymore.

I could probably still eat a whole bag of cheetos. Or nacho cheese doritos, if we're sticking with orange.

Decided to run another 2 miles this evening on top of my earlier 4.  I've eaten a nice big bowl of pasta and will probably have pavlova before the night is over.

There is a half marathon next weekend that I'm potentially contemplating.  It will depend entirely on a long run this Sunday.  I can take it or leave it, if I'm not up to it then it is going to give me another goal.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I could probably eat an entire bag of baby carrots.  :sneaking:

I do it all the time.

my weight is still up, but period probably coming today. makes me really depressed. hoping it is back to where it was last week. i am going back into full on weight loss and hard core training mode next week, 2 weeks since my race, feeling pretty recovered, except my sleep has been TERRIBLE, DD is killing me. Last night she kept waking up and i ended up sleeping in her room because every time i snuck out she woke up and flipped out. I think she was overtired, we are going to try to get her to bed earlier tonight, but it is hard when i get home after 7pm and dinner still needs to be done, etc.

Reid's throwing up all over the place. Every time I think it's over and try to start giving him pedialyte or water, he'll drink it, it says down for a while, and then comes back.  :o I'm not sure I'll eat much dinner tonight.

:(

sorry that both of you are having such a tough time with your littles

We had to keep J home from school today b/c her cough won't go away.  She was a monster today.  ohmygoodness.  We gave her benadryl before bed last night & the night before (b/c the cough and runny nose were keeping her from sleeping) and she always seems to be like this after a couple of days of having it (and it was just one time per day)

bedtime was awful.  Serenity now!

:fingers: We ended up having to give him a bath - he barfed all over himself. Poor kid. The tub seemed to help him calm down some, though. He's had a saltine and a tiny bit of water and already went to bed. :( I don't like it when my baby is sick. The selfish part of me hopes he's over it soon - it's a 3-day weekend!  The Mom in me just wants to snuggle him all night.

Sorry that J seems to have the opposite reaction to Benadryl, diblita!

What is up with the sick kiddos!?  I hope all of you moms are able to get some rest yourselves.

I've had such a manic day today - fighting the stress eating this evening!  Took the kids to a bouncy castle place for an hour to burn energy, had lunch with LM, kids still had loads of energy...went for a quick walk, dropped kids & DH off at home, picked up my little bro from hospital and dropped him off at a friends, kids up from nap immediately as I walk in the door, feed them, they want in the pool - quick swim, blow thousands of bubbles, bath & bed... my head pounding the whole time.

Both of my little brothers(LB) are full of drama today - LB2 owes LB1 money.  LB1 takes LB2's guitar - prize possession.  For attention (as one story goes) LB2 cuts himself.  LB1 takes him to ER, wants me to meet him to have LB2 committed to psych ward.  Not possible because the cut isn't considered suicidal.  LB1 then leaves LB2 there to go fishing.  LB2 gets 11 stitches and has nasty/crusty skin from a black widow bite from yesterday.  Parents are unable to do anything for pathetic reasons (which I deliver guilt trip over).  I can only shake my head and dish out the Big Sister speech in the nicest & most supportive way possible.

CHOCOLATE NOW!

You've earned the chocolate, Bolloxd!

And Reid's saltine for dinner just came back up. It narrowly missed his Elmo doll and landed all over one set of lovies. 2nd load of laundry for tonight is in the wash, sheets and PJs are changed, spare lovies are fresh out of the dryer...

I have a feeling it's going to be a long night.  :sleepy:

Poor both of you!  Sorry Reid can't keep anything down.

Bolloxd, that's quite a lot to deal with!

As for the benadryl, it works as planned when given.  It just seems like she's sensitive to it so the day after, when it's out of her system, she gets aggressive.  Is that odd?

Huh. Maybe like a rebound thing? Interesting.

I've got my fingers crossed that we're okay for a while. He just can't have anything left in there, poor kid. I'm just worried about tomorrow. Knowing my luck, whatever this is won't be entirely out of his system, but he'll be starving. And how the hell do you tell a toddler that they can't eat? Gah!

interesting about the benedryl, i know it can affect kids very differently as adults. we gave it to DD once and it made her hyper and did not do much for her hives. Also, i was unable to find it without red food coloring, that can affect some children's behaviors as well.

Hope Reid is feeling better today.

Diablita, I've never paid attention to how meds affect the kids a day or so after taking it.  I will pay attention next time.

So, I only stress ate a bowl of Trix cereal last night - not too bad.  I'd forgotten that at the beginning of all that we were pulled over by a cop for speeding.  DH was questioning the margin of error on the radar and the cop got rude.  At first he said he was going to give us a ticket.  Once DH questioned him, the cop changed it to a warning... we weren't speeding *that* much, just barely.  I think we were getting a ticket but DH basically showed the cop he was smart enough to know the speed was not fast enough to warrant it. Very odd day.

Luckily, today has been good.  Took the kids to the bookstore, then to Hickory Dickory Dock....Only $2 each, bargain!  They had fun.  They aren't napping now though.... I think it will be an afternoon in the pool.

I'm planning to hydrate as much as possible & eat well today so I can attempt a 10 miler tomorrow.
