I hate hate hate that I squandered away my young hot body years thinking I was fat. :( I could have totally worn a bikini then.

Oh well.

Even this one, which is way more skimpy that I'd be comfy with even if I wasn't so chubby, looks solid, like it's going to support you and not flash the world!

this is a comfy top, fyi.

I had one of the Athleta bra-cup-sized tankini tops a few years ago. I wouldn't have gone lap-swimming in it or anything, but it held the girls in well enough for an afternoon at the pool and was cute and pretty darn comfy, to boot.

I've worn the Athleta ones before - I don't think I'd fit into one now, but 20 pounds ago I did, and looked pretty damn hot, TYVM.

Courtney, do you know which Land's End tankini you got?

I don't see the one I have on there anymore.  :(

But I used the filters on the left to look at the ones with underwire, and there are some I like:

I need adjustable straps, because I think I'm short from shoulder to bust or something.  I always have to adjust stuff up.

Cool - thanks for the tips! I had just sort of randomly looked at their website the other night and wondered...

I don't think you'll be disappointed.  You order the ones with underwire by bra size, if I remember right.  The one I got has a neckline similar to the one I posted.  It manages to seriously be supportive and look pretty darn good at the same time.  My cleavage is probably my best attribute, so I don't mind flaunting it a bit under the right circumstances  :D  So fair warned, if you are chesty, most of these will show a bit of cleavage, but there is no danger of a boob popping loose!

That's similar to the one I have and like. My only problem is that I had to get the band way too loose in order to have the cups fit. But I wear a 34DD bra so that's probably unavoidable. I need to see if that's something a tailor could fix for me.

Sometimes some awesome new clothes that fit really well are enough to make one realize that they actually dont look half bad.  ;)

dude! agreed. no matter my weight, most my thighs look like cottage cheese  :sigh:

But how would a one-piece make a difference in your thighs?  ??? Nice runs today, btw. I'm jealous of your ability to run TWICE in one day!! (Right now, I'd settle for once/day).

Oh, and the extra protein at breakfast made a big difference with satiety this morning. We're learning about food in my 6th grade classes (ie, 4 straight hours of talking about crepes and eclairs and chocolate and cheese........) and yesterday, my stomach was growling all morning! Today, no problems. :) I bought some peanut butter and bakery whole wheat bread for tomorrow's breakfast, though. Unfortunately, my dad made homemade cornbread muffins to go with tonight's dinner. I had 2. :( Thing is, I know soon I won't be eating them at all, so I wanted to enjoy them while I could.  :-\

Anyone else watching BL finale?

i am out of town the next two weekends for races and then is her bday party and then maybe i can shop :D busy busy month. whew.

i just looked at lands end. quite pricey, but maybe their skirt is longer than the ones i see in the stores? that is why i like the running skirt, but it is NOT a swim suit by any means, but it is a bit longer than anything i have seen in the stores.

thanks! it is actually not as hard as i thought it would be.

i have been eating tofu scramble for breakfast and it does keep me filled longer than most anything else.

i will watch BL finale if it is on Hulu come 5:30am tomorrow.  :fingers: if conda wins,  :fiery:

i am trying vegan cake and frosting recipes for DD's bday party and i made a first try today and it was pretty good, but i had only about 1/3 of a piece. i was really proud of myself. My coworker brought me oatmeal choc chip raisin cookies and i gave one to a friend and one to DH and only had a bite out of the third.

Land's End has a swim skirt that's longer than average, I think. Some of them are short, but some look more like running skirts. They're on the pricey side, but about the same as what you'd get at Athleta or similar, and a hell of a lot cheaper than other places. Plus, they're supposed to hold up really well.
