Good job Deb!!

Mango, I think Meri is correct about the wide angle lens. I never look at the photos taken at the race, unless they are by friends. (who know which side is my good side, ha)

I meet with my trainer in less than an hour, then off to work. I will also try to hit step class tonite. I feels nice to walk normally. That Jillian dvd killed my legs.

I have several bathing suits. I prefer 2 pieces, and have gotten some nice suits from Title Nine. They have decent bottom coverage, and good tops for support.

I got my suit from Nordstrom online. It's this one: Freya Pier bikini. This was the only suit I could find that makes tops in 34FF. I've been "getting by" with the wrong size, but we're going to the Dominican Republic for our mini-honey moon in Aug, so I need something that fits and looks gooood! :P

As for being scared to wear one, I never did until my ex encouraged me to do so (even when I was a skinny kid!) The one positive thing he did for me. :) As long as the suit fits, generally they look good on most anyone, I think. :) Be brave! Remember, allllll the other women are probably as self-conscious as you and too busy worrying about how they look to notice how YOU look!

Well, this morning was another fail for getting up to do my DVD. Ugh. I woke up, but just couldn't get my arse outta bed in time. If I could get up by 6, that would be better. I would be late for work, though. :( 2 1/2 more weeks and I will have that flexibility. Food wise, so far so good. I had a morningstar sausage patty with my cereal this morning and it seems to be keeping me fuller. Normally, I only have them on days I workout in the morning. Maybe I won't even eat my snack...

It's PMS week for me.  And taper.  I feel fat.  I don't wanna feel fat on race day, but I'm preparing myself mentally to just put it out of my mind and remind myself that how I look doesn't fucking matter.

Hell, if I could wear a bikini, I would, but that would blind people, so... no. :) Good to hear about the Land's End suits, though. I'll do a little more digging around and see what I can find.

Bonus day off right now - got to work and the building's power was out. I guess a transformer blew or something? If I'd known, I'd have gone running now instead of at 5 AM, and I wouldn't have dressed nice today!

just stay away from the wide angle lenses!  :sneaking:

i am gearing up for run #2. I just dropped DD off and settled in on the couch to check messages, etc while having a brief snack. It is going to be hard to peel myself off of here :D I will, but i will not like it !

I have a total mom bathing suit. And I'm going to have to wear it in public this weekend for Reid's first swim lesson.  :-[  :'(

Anyone ever tried the Land's End bathing suits? I was looking at them online the other night and they have some cute ones, but at my current size, it's hard to tell how supportive they might be, you know?

ETA: Oh, and yes, that time stamp is right. Just got back from a shuffle.  :sleepy: :luvcoffee:

OH! I have a Lands End tankini with underwire up top, and I love it.  It's the best, most supportive swim suit I've ever had.  When I swim, go to the pool, or lake, etc, I really manage not to worry about looking fat most of the time, because I am so busy swimming or playing with the kiddos (which often includes running or jumping) so this swimsuit is seriously awesome.  I am planning to buy another one so I have a couple to alternate.  Mine has the straps that can be halter, or straight, etc.  I don't like halter top, so I always do the straight way.

I need a new swimsuit for my honeymoon to Hawaii.  Right now I wear a sports bra and stretchy tank top over a bikini bottom, because I couldn't find a supportive enough top.  Kenyan wants me to look for a bikini, but I think I'll be too self-conscious to wear one even if I lose weight between now and then, and all the ones I've tried on lately have had no support up top at all!  I will check out Land's End and see if they have anything I like.

Athleta, while pricy, is also good for supportive tops with good coverage.

I keep looking at the Athleta bathing suit tops. Are they the ones that look like sports bras?

Those, or the ones that are more halter top like...  or any of the bra cup tops.

They just look like your boob isn't going to pop out of them when you move around!

Even this one, which is way more skimpy that I'd be comfy with even if I wasn't so chubby, looks solid, like it's going to support you and not flash the world!

I've worn the Athleta ones before - I don't think I'd fit into one now, but 20 pounds ago I did, and looked pretty damn hot, TYVM.

Courtney, do you know which Land's End tankini you got?

I have some Atheta tankini tops and I don't think they make them with large breasted women in mind.    One of them I bust out of.  On the model it looked perfectly normal.    Another one (a halter) is more supportive and has better coverage, but Lands End is way more reliable.

Oh I like that one Courtney!  I have such a hard time trying on bathing suits.  Buying them online would mean a lot of returns.  I have one already from Target but it is for wearing at home and not really in public.  I need some support & lift now more than ever, since losing the weight everything is sagging. :(   I used to have awesome boobs, not such much anymore.

I got a lot of errands done this morning so I'm feeling productive.  It's after 3 & the kids are just laying down to nap....probably should keep them up but we'd all be super cranky.  I got 3 gallons of beautiful strawberries this morning that I need to make things with & also freeze a butt load for use in the winter.  DH & I just double-teamed the SUV to clean it up and try to sell.  We're thinking that if it sells for a reasonable price we'll get a cross-over type car to replace it - something with better gas mileage that we'll all still fit into.  I'm trying to get my furniture sold too for some extra cash & to replace it.

Meri - so glad you had a good run!  I am inspired daily by your dedication.

Yeah, that one is nice. A little more coverage than some.
Bolloxd - Oddly I have had no problem shopping online with Victoria's Secret bathing suits. I have a couple but they just feel skimpy to me now. But I am a little unsure about Athleta, especially since I've bought only one thing from them (a skort) and had to return it.

So what do you do with strawberries? I always get excited and buy the big tub but they go bad before I get a chance to eat them :(

Good vibes on selling your stuff.

Meri you're a champion with or without Badwater!

LM - I'm currently making a strawberry cheesecake.  I will probably make some jelly, sorbet, more fruity desserts, and then freeze some to make smoothies with later.  Or even use them for anything else I can think of in the winter or when they are more expensive.  I do the same with blueberries and peaches when they come into season.  There is a place just a couple miles from us that sells them.

I need to spend several hours going around multiple shops before I find a bathing suit I'm truly happy with...finding that time is always difficult though.  I suck at clothes shopping in general so bathing suit shopping is torture.

I have just learned to accept that. Most grown women look that way.
