Thanks, Bolloxd - I adore Mexican food, especially cheese enchiladas. So, for me, choosing the chicken fajita tacos is a big step in the right direction. Even if it's not "perfect." Hope you get a nap!!

Mouse - glad you've made it back and rested up.  2.5 lbs isn't too bad!!  I'd say you did a great job and it'll come off pretty easily.
Debba - enjoy the Mexican.  Sodium likes to sneak up on me too in some things.
Lanarkshire - enjoy your visit with the man...burn some calories together.  ;)

So, yeah, DH was right about the moody/PMS...as I was taken by surprise this morning while at a gym for the kiddos.  Horrible timing.   :-[ But, I did get some exercise in.... it is a huge gymnastics place where they let toddlers run free for 2 hours.  So, lots of trampolines, running around, and jumping into a huge foam pit.  I've never been in a foam pit, it was fun but way harder to move around than you'd think.

Since I  didn't sleep worth a crap last night and we were up earlier I'm hoping to squeeze in a quick nap as soon as the kids crash for their nap.
The gym sounds fun! I wish we had something like that up here.

We had mexican last night too!!

I just ate a whole cucumber.  It was sliced.

Not quite the comfort food I was looking for, but I won't hate myself for it later.

So, we're having a potluck lunch next week at work. Someone is bringing in her delicious (and seriously greasy) spaghetti casserole, and one guy is bringing in his famous banana pudding. I'm thinking maybe I should bring a side dish? Someone's doing a salad and someone else is doing a fruit tray, so I'm not sure.

Suggestions?

My opinion is that there are never too many veggie dishes or salads. I would inquire what type of salad she is bringing and bring a very different one.

I agree.  I'd also bring my own sandwich or something so I dont' have to eat that greasy casserole.

Um, that greasy casserole is delicious.

I'm sort of thinking a veggie tray and dip or something. No one will eat it, though. We're not a healthy group, in general.

I kind of think of it this way. "I" need something to fill the rest of my plate when I take a small piece of that casserole and a green salad is just not going to do it so I almost always bring a yummy healthy veggie dish (and it almost always disappears). Maybe a caprese salad?

Oooh, something like that would maybe work. Or a pasta salad? I have a really yummy orzo and veggie salad recipe. Too much pasta? I was thinking a potato salad that's relatively light, but that would probably be weird with spaghetti casserole, so maybe not.

Thanks, bolloxd. I've already told him I will be doing my Jillian videos so I don't get too out of shape (only 30 mins.) I asked him to join me and he said no, he'd rather watch. Then we can do some cardio.  :groucho:

debba- my favorite mexican food is cheese enchiladas, too! And guac (chunky homemade kind. NOT that supermarket stuff with sour cream in it...) Mmmmmm...

Wait, what? Sour cream *in* guac? That's... not an abomination, exactly, because lord knows I like both on a taco or quesadilla or nachos, but WTF?

When I make guac I sometimes add just a bit of greek yogurt. I like the flavor it adds.

By the way...I have a really good asparagus, tomato, feta salad that I often bring to things if you want the recipe. I also sometimes sub green beans for some or all of the asparagus depending on availability.

So I'm down 2.2 lbs for the week so far but today was just ok eating wise; lunch has been catered every day at the office this week and today there were three dessert choices :sigh: I'm betting the scale will be up in the morning from sodium, etc. but we shall see.  If I can be a good girl and get my butt in bed at a decent time, I hope to work out in the AM :fingers:

I'm down 5lb from Monday but most of that is water bloat from a pretty unhealthy weekend

I normally add tomatos.
Looks good...I saved it.  I love asparagus.

Well, back to work for me today. I am groggy this morning.
