Upside: my upcoming doctors appointment will put me at the lowest weight in 4 years.  Not really, but as far as my doctor knows.

Downside: final dress fitting on the 28th.  Then I have to maintain for a month.  Yikes.

Jamers, count on the maintaining to be a challenge.  Either you'll be caught up in pre-wedding fetivities and eat more than usual or stressed out and eat less.  Try to keep a balance, starting now.

RA - I would have totally scarfed the whole croisant, no matter how big it was.

Down to my pre-binge weight.  :D  Here's hoping  :fingers: I can stay on track through the weekend so I don't have to spend next week undoing the damage and can actually see some progress.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

Meri, that sucks.

Maintaining is going to be a HUGE challenge.  It'll be good for me to learn, and I learn best under pressure.  But I've never intentionally not lost weight.

I think most places can do last minute alterations ... brides losing or gaining in the weeks leading up to weddings is very normal!

Up 4 today. Birthday dinner with friends at a dumpling house. Toooooootaly over did it. I know it'll be gone im a few days. Just means probably no new loss before my trip. Oh well. Tired today. DD woke me up at 1am because she needed Imodium and couldn't find it. Yawn.

Mouse- your trip is this week? Have some friends in Maui right now and the weather looks perfect!

My last fitting was 11 days before my wedding. Needed some very minor alterations at that point. You'll be fine, Jamers.

Going shopping today!

week 2 on WW and I'm definitely not regretting joining.  It has made me much more aware of all the damn carbs I have been consuming.  Lots of free points left this week so I can enjoy my weekend!

dumpling house = lots of sodium = lots of water retention!

I did not get the blood test and cried all the way to work. lovely, huh? i made an appt for Tuesday morning because sunday i do my long run. I really just want the results. i am just so annoyed. the people at the lab were so inefficient. in the almost hour i was there, i think they saw 3 people. wtf????

I went out to yummy thai yesterday and had vegetable noodle soup (which was yummy but sure as hell wasn't curry). I then had frozen mac and cheese and asparagus for dinner. Not the best day but not the worst and I did run on the TM for an hour.

awww {{{{{meri}}} that sucks ass. Can you ask to go to a different blood lab?

I have to say this, and y'all can hate on me but I find it really annoying when people post their daily weight fluctuations.
Going to say this again.

i am going to a different lab on Tuesday morning. sigh. just gonna drag this all out a little longer. i may schedule my appt with my MW since i am due for a pap anyways and see if i chose to if they can remove the mirena then, since it takes all of 1 minute to do. I am undecided, but if these tests come back ok, that is the next step.

I agree on the consistency thing.

Sorry if it irritates you, but my weight fluctuations matter to me.  And it helps to have a place to vent about them.  Because when I overeat I need the immediate slap in the face from the scale saying "no you don't missy!"  And I need the accountability.

Meri, I would have cut someone if I was kept waiting when fasting.  I am not to be trifled with when hungry.  Heck, I'm not to be trifled with when I'm full.

Yeah, I weigh daily so that I can keep an eye on things. If I don't do that, I'm 3 binges later when I get to my official weigh-in and then it's too late to stop the damage for that week. It also gives me some insight into what I might be sensitive to - like sodium. If I eat something normal for me, but the next morning I'm up a couple of pounds when I shouldn't be, it's a sign that there was something unusual in that meal (usually dinner) and I need to go back and take a closer look at what I ate. It's almost inevitably something sodium-related, so I up the water even more, which usually helps.

Yes, it sucks to get on the scale the morning after a hard workout and see that I've "gained" 3 pounds or something insane. But it also reminds me to drink the DFW like I'll never be able to drink it again.

The weekly numbers are the only ones I track, but the daily numbers give me a sense of how I'm doing and what needs to be tweaked.

I weigh daily too but only as an indicator for myself.
I have no problem with any of you venting, I was just making a statement :)

Generally meals eaten out contain massive amounts of sodium that you can't account for like you can if you cook at home using fresh or low sodium ingredients.

I have been known to throw hissy fits in Dr's offices that keep me waiting, or blood labs. Did you go in at least and ask them to take you next because you are fasting? I would have told them my blood sugar was low and I was going to faint in the office right then and there if they didn't take me NOW!!!
I was once kept waiting with a full bladder for a sonogram. Asshats! Needless to say I refused to ever go back to that lab again.

Oh yeah! I way for informational purposes only and look more for trends than any given spike. I like to weigh every day because I like to have the information. But, I don't actually think I gained 4lbs of fat from last night to this morning! I know it is a side effect from all the sodium and all the white rice. Oh, and the boba tea. Let's not forget the half a croissant after lunch. I know that a one day spike isn't going to derail me and it could even be beneficial. Usually, after a day like y'day I don't weigh for a day or two. I was interested to see just how much "damage" I did. I am paying for it today. Ugh. My tummy and my head! I almost feel hungover. bleah.

I have a car trip coming up tomorrow, and I tend to snack when driving to keep myself awake.   :pissed:
