Oh no! So sorry to hear that. What's going on with her, if you don't mind me asking?

She went to the ER with a GI bleed and they gave her tons of blood and then they think but are not sure that she had an adverse reaction to the blood products.  So as she was bleeding out she developed a flash pulmonary edema and her heart stopped.  When I got the call they were asking for my consent for emergency surgery since she was on life support.  Anyway she is doing a bit better and they think if she continues to improve she will be off the breathing tube tomorrow  :fingers:  She lives 5 hours away from me so I rushed down there when I got the call.  My brother who I have not spoken to in years in flying in tomorrow.  Eh what can you do?

I had to pick up snacks for our medical staff meeting today.  At 10:30am I broke into the cookies.  250 calories, so delicious.   Now my tummy hurts and I feel bad about eating that cookie.

And during the meeting, I know I'm going to eat some cheese.    Blerg.

{{onawhim}}  Take my word for it, emotional eating doesn't make you feel better - but do what you need to do.  Hope she's better soon!

We've discussed this before. Women's sizing sucks and varies a ton. When did they come up with this size 0 shit? Try to ignore the number on a label and if it fits well, or can be altered to fit well because it's a piece you love, then wear it. Cut the damn size label out.

Men's sizes do not vary like this. It's another ploy to manipulate women!

1 to all of this.  I have pants sized 8-14 that all fit approximately the same.  I call myself a 10, but I wear what fits.  I've had to take in one pair of 10s because they wouldn't stay on my hips, but to my chagrin those 14s still fit fine.

And I am STARVING today.  I keep thinking about the scale being +4 from yesterday and I don't want to eat anything but I want, want, want.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

She's an awful, awful human being.

Given your training intensity, you might just be hitting a point where you need a bit of rest and a few more calories.

I'm taking today completely off exercise and will likely say yes to some wine and quiche for dinner (friend is cooking and that's what she wants).  With v.sore toes and tired hamstrings and a 1/2 coming up Saturday ... I refuse to feel badly for any of it.  Join me :)

Just got back from a shuffle! Yay! Forgot to use my inhaler beforehand! Boo!

Actually, considering I was gasping for breath by the end, I did pretty well. I was just in such a rush to get out of the house before I lost my nerve/momentum, that I didn't even think about the inhaler. Oops. Don't think I'll make that mistake again.

Another day. I plan to run tonight. My last run yesterday went pretty badly (I couldn't breathe and I kept coughing until I almost puked...the sad part was this was after about a mile). I just suck at mornings for some reason.

onawhim please take a few more hugs!

Today is my day to catch up on some cleaning/cooking during nap time- see how that's working out for me?  I'm in the CH.

DH has been out doing some errands so I've had the kids running around outside as much as possible before any potential rain keeps us indoors.  So, that has burned quite a bit of energy!  It really has been such a fun day.  That actually ate breakfast and lunch very well ...more eating than throwing/smearing.  Lots of giggles and just running around.  No naptime or bedtime issues anymore which has been awesome.  I'll also state that colored sidewalk chalk is NOT just for kids.  :hah:

fun, bolloxd!

More hugs coming at ya, onawhim

I had a planned rest day today and my buddy went to the pet groomer for a much-needed bath (he rolled in deer poop yesterday; I washed him a bit but not well enough with all that long fur) and shave since we're hitting the 70's this week.  Boo...I want the cooler weather for a while.

I also ate pretty healthfully although not as well as on the "i" diet.  Might start that up next week.

I love it when Daylight Savings time starts, because it's light enough for me to get in a run after work.  Today's run sucked because I haven't been able to bring myself to run on the treadmill for over a month now.  It was OUTSIDE though, and that made it automatically delightful.

Yogurt for breakfast plus a handful of cocoa roasted almonds, sweet pork salad for lunch (not the healthiest choice, but delicious!) and polenta with meat sauce for dinner tonight.  I need to go to the grocery store and get some produce so I can have some salads this week.
