I ate 2 girl scout cookies (an evil undergrad brought them in today). Otherwise I have been on plan today. I think I am ok though because I havent used any weekly points yet...but I also cannot do any cardio with my hurty bloody toe.

Generally it would be the whole box for me but I need to exercise restraint. I need to lose at least 20 pounds before my wedding.

So dd is babysitting tomorrow night until 10:30 so DH and I are going on a (much needed!) date. I am having dessert and we are sharing a bottle of wine. So... yeah. BUT- this week has been mostly pretty good.

RA, it's a planned splurge - you can have a much-deserved date night and then get right back on the wagon/horse/metaphor of your choice on Saturday morning.

And MM, 20 is my first goal, too. It's so close, yet so, so far away.

Tonight I learned that pesto doesn't taste that great when made without cheese and only a bit of olive oil.

yep. i did make an avocado pesto for DD that was not bad and i reduced the oil.

SO i guess it was day of the evil cookies yesterday? i hope they all disappear today. DD is playing with them now

just eat them!!! LOL.

I want to start doing date night with DH every so often, but do not want to eat out. LOL

Welp, I've been doing great with exercise- nearly done with week 3 of the Jillian thing. Been running... (despite what i think is ITB pain/problems starting). Last night, I went to a sports bar place with a co-worker and had 2 margaritas and split a queso with chips. $:-\$ It was sooooo good though. We've been trying to get out for months now and she's been having lots of personal issues. I think she appreciated the girl talk time!

Now, I have a little rant about work place food... we have a new principal this year who never stops talking about her husband who almost died of a heart attack last year. She goes on about how they are "trying' to get healthy (she is obese and I haven't seen any change in the past 7 months or whatever that we've been in school.) So today is a teacher workday. And they've got Waffle House breakfast for us! And she just came on the announcements and said "don't forget to grab your candy bar before the faculty meeting today!" And this isn't the first time they've had WH or candy bars. One time it was chick fil a.... Now, while I appreciate the gestures, it confuses me that she goes on and on about getting healthy, but then always brings in this kind of food! There were giant bagels the other day.... cake a few weeks ago... just always something. (I resisted the bagels, though and only had a bite of cake without the frosting...) I've had oatmeal already, but it's going to be a long morning of meetings- till 1:00. I may end up giving in just a little.

I wish they would bring in healthy stuff, but that's never gonna happen, I guess.

Meri- that sucks! I bet it all sorts itself out after the weaning/period are over.

Anyway.. off to the meetings. I'm going to Hilton Head after work. I can't wait. I brought my running stuff, too!

i think some people truly do not know what healthy means. My running partner was telling me how healthy they eat and no processed foods, then in the next breath was talking about how they make lipton boxed rice for dinner all the time

and they eat a lot of processed foods!!!! They get a food delivery service once a month of frozen stuff (veggie burgers, chicken nuggets, etc). I think some people are just clueless. your cw may just think healthy means no mcD's!
