I am wearing jeans that used to be uncomfortable!   Same size, just stiffer denim than some others.  Still, yay!

In the big picture it is. Keeping it off is the big picture.  A pound a week is 52 pounds a year....we are all in such a rush aren't we.
Gotta start somewhere!
And not sure where I need to be, will know when I get there. Thinking another 30 or 40.

I would really like to go on a binge at lunch. I'm resisting, but I'm just putting it out there.

Nice work on the weight loss hally, and RA, and Mini !   The complements are what makes it worth it.  And seattlegirl - fitting into jeans that were uncomfortable before is so nice....more wardrobe options for free.  :)

I'm starting to feel human again, especially since the kids naptime is earlier than usual....not sure how this will affect the rest of their day.  I should be doing some of the million things I need to get done.

deb - good for resisting!!

great compliment MINI!!!!!

18lbs in 18 weeks? jealous!!!

probably no exercise for me, DD passed out in the car on the way home from the dr, which may mean no nap later to squeeze a work out in and she is being super clingy otherwise.

Thanks, Bolloxd - my inherent laziness is helping me here. I'm just too lazy to get off my ass and go buy what's needed for a good binge. Plus, everything tastes funny, so why bother?

I'm just in a mood.  :grr:

Meri, I hope your dd is feeling better soon!

Keep resisting!    Let your laziness keep you on track!

Hally, it seems like we're on a similar path.  I lost 20 since Thanksgiving, and need to lose another 30.   Well, maybe 25 if I'm fitting into my skinny clothes by then.  We'll see.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

She's an awful, awful human being.

For the first time this month, I did not log my food yesterday. I think I stayed kind of on plan, except I drank a bunch of wine. I didn't weigh in today (unusual for me) but I will tomorrow.

Today I had a really tightly scheduled morning and was super tempted to blow off or shorten my workout, but I prevailed and got my run in. So, I'm pleased with that.

The scale is a fickle friend indeed, my numbers have been all over lately. But I'm wearing pants today that I haven't worn since 2001, so there's that. (Truth be told they still give me a little bit of a wedgie.)

It worked! My unwillingness to move my ass finally came in handy!

Thanks for the support, y'all :)   :heartbeat:

Debba,

Mouse, I do need to get back to journaling.  I actually stepped back at some point yesterday and dug into the "tools" I've learned in therapy.  I got out my colors and coloring books and colored, instead of going on a binge.  That worked for a while, and I had the most amazing sense of calm.  Then after dinner, DH got into the frozen chocolate chip cookies, and I lost all semblence of control, peace, etc.  I went to bed sick to my stomach and feeling like a big fat failure.  Why oh why?

 >:(

Mini- that is fabulous that someone noticed :)  It's definitely a good reinforcement.

I taught spin this morning, so my workout is done.  Tomorrow will be my weight routine from Monday (with the trainer) and a short run.  Friday, I need to run since we'll be driving for 8 hours that day.  I hope to get out for a run with my brother on either Saturday or Sunday (or both!), or do some sort of workout while I'm visiting him.  I'm tempted to take my Insanity DVDs and randomly pick one to challenge him to.

Mouse, your class sounds hard!!  But fun, in a weird way.  It sounds like tabata intervals for some of it.  20 seconds work, 10 seconds rest...   I do this 4 Minute Workout like that.

20 seconds burpees (sometimes also called squat thrusts), 10 seconds rest
20 seconds mountain climbers, 10 seconds rest
20 seconds high knees, 10 seconds rest
20 seconds jumping jacks, 10 seconds rest

Repeat.

I'd have a really hard time, too, if DH were digging into the cookies, Courtney.  Seriously, today, laziness was the only thing that kept me from going off the deep end. I'm going to have to have DH go get gas for my car, or I'll have to do it tomorrow at lunch and that's just asking for trouble.

I need to run to walmart after work to get cat food, and I am uneasy already.

Oof, I had to go to the grocery store on the way home on Monday and I almost walked out with a basket of junk food. I didn't, but it was really, really close.

I'm so glad I don't have the time or energy to bake holiday-themed things. I wouldn't fit in my front door!

dude, cleaned the kitchen and found a half eaten granola bar and ate the rest. i have no self control, that is why i do better not having anything bad in the house. i have not really eaten much today, so it was not horrible, but still, it is the self control issues that i hate.

I really think that self control isn't the issue as much as addressing the reasons you are eating, and coming up with another way to cope with that issue (boredom, sad, anxious, etc).  Eating is apparently my go-to coping mechanism for everything.

At least that is the theory.

I ran across this great resort that you can go to where they do cognitive behavioral therapy on this sort of thing, and if I had the time off from work, I'd go.  http://www.fitwoman.com/

For me at least, I feel like this is key.  Being mindful, stopping myself in that natural response (eating), and doing something else, etc.
