Thanks for the reassurances everyone.  It is easy to feel overlooked in the merry old ch sometimes.  I feel chagrined at my neediness.

Merigayle....check out the 30dshred, seriously. You can do it at home when the babe is snoozing. I think it is one of the best home workouts out there, and the time frame is really manageable for a mom.

Hally, heal fast! (and good for you for picking off a few runners! :)

Deb...feel better! My sinus infection took forever to go away..I feel your pain.

Woo....a bottle of wine for me this Valentine's day!  Homemade pizza and salad for dinner.  I ran 1.5 miles but my knees were pissed about being pushed on yesterday's run.   I've been hula hooping...drunk...for roughly 45 minutes straight.

Mouse is there a website with similar moves to your class.? my abs need some fine tuning.

Hally do you usually have knee problems?  Mine are very temperamental and need lots of stretching to stay happy.  I find biofreeze helps too.

I need to look into this 30d shred stuff.

I read more than I post, but I answer you all in my head!  I feel bad if that means people might feel like I'm not paying attention to them, cause I am!

I am officially sick of having sandwiches for lunch, so I need a new plan.  Maybe a hearty soup plus fruit lunch will be better for now.  I've also been adding in way too many extra treats.  We're going out for Valentine's day dinner on Sunday, so I will save my indulgence till then for the rest of the week.  Gah!

I feel like that lady on Romper Room - I see Mouse, Hally, Merigayle, Bolluxd, Courtney, onawhim, debba, seattle...  And I love you all!

Inexplicably down 2 today despite eating my weight in M&Ms cherry flavor.

I think I'm kinda in a lull.  I was on a roll during the WLC, and had pretty close to 100% commitment.  The first two weeks of February I also had laser-like focus.  Now, not so much.  I feel rebellious and want to snack.  I sneak.  I sass back at my wii workout instructors.  It's understandable, but I don't like it.

Mouse, whose 30DS is it?  Jillians?  I'm not ready for it now, but I need something for when I'm down to the final 10.

Meri, I think it's a 30 day shred program.  Hope the little one's better soon!

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

Hi Seattle! I usually end up bringing leftovers for my lunch.  I am on an apple with peanut butter jag for snacks, lately. On days with no leftovers I usually go with can soup (high sodium :( ).

For those that are curious, the class was 30 minutes...20 or so of intense core exercises. We did 1 full minute of  1. squat presses 2. jump rope 3. v sit with weighted side twist ( where you sit in a v while holding weight on chest, alternating touching elbow to the floor on each side of you....like a side crunch) 4. kettle bell hip thrust 5. mountain climbers. it seemed like about 10-15 seconds in between each exercise..and then we repeated the whole thing. It seems like a life time doing mountain climbers for a full minute..especially the second time. Then we did 8 sets of sit ups as many as you can do for 20 seconds, then 10 second rest. Oh, and the warm up was 5 minutes of alternating pushups (which I did against the wall), squats and walking lunges. So you have any idea how many walking lunges can be done in 5 minutes? My legs were burning before we even started!
Anyway, it was good. We do different workouts every time so I have no idea what to expect tomorrow. I can only say that my legs, and abs are KILLING me this morning.

Courtney....don't give in!  And I have been checking your blog and haven't seen anything new in a LONG time. Maybe journaling will help?

Bolloxed, I have seen some you tube sites but I think they vary. I would try the Jilian dvd. 30dshred will kick you abs in gear. there is quite a bit of core.

Good morning to everyone. The plan today is to run before work, and stay away from chocolate. (yesterday was a bust...cow's all brought chocolates in). Left over tilapia on a bed of spinach, with some broccoli for lunch, pb apple and berries for snacks.  I am stuck at my current weight...but hope to see a budge in the next few days. (?)

Merigayle..can you take the cake to a neighbors house?  I used to do that...so the "neighbor kids could enjoy a piece", but eventually the mom caught on!

 :luvcoffee:

Morning, everyone. Still no working out for me - I'd contemplated attempting a run, but then it was raining this morning, so I stayed in bed. I still can't do yoga - anything that even comes close to resembling an inversion, like downward dog, makes my sinuses feel like they're going to rip out of my face. :grr: Maybe tomorrow.

Mouse, the HIIT sounds cool, but painful!

Mini, I have to admit, I'm giggling at the image of you sassing the Wii instructors. :) I'd do the same thing, I think. I've been known to tell the yoga guy to shut up and just count to 5 already.

Courtney -  Hang in there. Can we help?

Plan for today is waffles for breakfast (done), my usual lunch, yogurt for a snack, and chicken, orzo, and veggies for dinner.

Rough morning start....wine is not good for my head.  My hips are sore/bruised from hula hooping!  Both kids were up super early drenched from wet diapers....they wouldn't go back to sleep and since DH has the cold I stayed up and let him sleep in.

Did I mention we got the snare drum from DHs drum kit out  for the kids to play with??  Yeah not a good idea at 5:30am.

Rest day for me.  Food should be good today. Toast w/PB&H....salad and a baked ham for lunch/dinner.

OMG, I can't imagine a snare drum after a night of wine. I'm so sorry, Bolloxd!

Hally- how'd the race go? I hate it when you push to hard and end up ouchy for a while after!

Mouse- how frequently is the HIIT? I know it's a short-term thing. I think you'll see a lot of results from it though.

Courtney-  You know we don't judge, right?

MOS? AS? How's it going? You two have been quiet lately.

I've been stuck. stuck. stuck. for the past couple of weeks. Today is the end of my 8 week program. Based on today's weigh, I am down 10.5 lbs. Based on my lowest weight, from a week ago, I lost 12 lbs. I figure today is as good a day as any to re-commit to the program. The reality is that I let some things sneak into my diet that I'm not really sure how they've been affecting me. So, I'm going to go back to basics and try and get the scale moving again. My mom is in town this weekend and I'm supposed to go out of town next weekend. We also have 5 new horses coming from AC this weekend and work is nuts... so I'm stretched a bit thin ATM and I know it's going to be a challenge not to just do the "easy" thing and eat crap. Oh, also, dh suggested we start going out for sunday breakfast every week.

Anyway- today's plan is 1cup of go lean with 2/3 cup of coconut milk and 4 prunes. Down the hatch. Feeling full and happy. Lunch is a cheese sandwhich and 1 cup of tomato barley soup. Afternoon snack will be 2 cheese sticks. Not sure about dinner but possibly a veggie burger with onions and peppers. That or a veggie wrap.

Yeah Mini!!
RA, it was fun and I wasn't DFL :)

I lost 18 pounds in 18 weeks, then the week between Christmas and New Years I put on 3.8. WTF!! Didn't even eat that much or so I thought.
IMO unless you eat 14,000 calories, you can't gain 4 pounds in a week and I certainly did not. But the scale can be a fickle friend.
Anyway, took a month to get it back off...then two of remaining the same. I think I may be down this week. Problem is my home scale is not trustworthy. So weigh in at WW Thursday AM with no food or drink before going.

I am determined to make a lifestyle change that I can live with forever and if that means averaging a half a pound a week I am good with that.
I have a lot of bad habits that I struggle with, mostly they surface when I've had a drink of alcohol.

Ooops, work calls.
