Yeah there were a couple of issues this week that tipped the scales :(

Dang. I've heard good things about care.com and sittercity, though.  :fingers: :fingers: :fingers:

Still holding pretty steady, weight-wise. Whew.

ugh. stress is gonna kill me. The after school lady who has been watching DD, well, it just ain't working. I am taking her to work with me one or two days next week and have someone watching her thru the end of the year. Put an ad up on care.com and  :fingers: to find someone.
That sucks. Stressing about your child (and her care) is the worst).

I am unreasonably excited today that my knee didn't hurt one bit during my workout.

Two pounds is awesome.  Especially when you don't expect it.

I'm a little nervous about eating this weekend.  We're making cookies and treats for the kids' teachers.  I'm flipping through the recipe cards trying to decide what would be the least tempting to me.

I've been a baaaad girl this week. Ate with abandon and zero excercise. I did zumba and bodypump this morning though. I don't think I love zumba but it was too cold and rainy and windy to run.

I'm in love with the lateral trainer at the gym.

Video to show what it does.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

She's an awful, awful human being.

I tend to trust Mini on these issues

The majority of mine are going to CT.. Just have to make it through the week, but will probably freeze them.

Up a little from a few days ago, but I expected that after the massive Jason's Deli sandwiches we got from work yesterday. And the potluck the day before.  :nono: Since it's not supposed to be 20 degrees in the morning this week (sorry, Northern People, I'm a cold-weather wimp), I'm planning on getting up and walking this week. Hopefully that will mitigate some of the damage.

Frankly, any home-baked cookies I receive always get thrown out ASAP.  I do not need temptation in the house.

I hate the feeling of going to bed thinking I overdid it on junk food.  I prefer the feeling of "I did the right thing for myself."  Many a pound has been put on for the sake of "saving food".

As far as I know, most people want to keep their weight gain at a minimum, esp. at this time of the year.  I will give fruit baskets anytime, or other healthy food stuff that does not perish.

No one ever gives me cookies. I don't know whether to be sad, or glad.  :hah:

If I did get them, and I worked in an office, I'd bring them in - a basket of cookies for one person = recipe for overindulgence, but a basket of cookies for a bunch of people = just a little bit of holiday sweetness.

One cookie would be nice.

This thread actually has me convinced me that some people have a hard time resisting, and I do not want to contribute to (1) their posting in some blog that they regret having had too many, for whatever reason, and to (2) tempting those who have a hard time with weight loss, but are trying.

I believe people should buy their own junk food and thus be able to take full responsibility for it.  Going somewhere to buy it is a conscious decision, whereas just putting your hand in the jar and eating a few is most often unconsciously and quickly done.

Not to mention that those who are healthy and food conscious eaters are being "blamed" in the office for not having them. We have seen plenty of that in this thread, too.

Wow.. perfect!  I giess  :eyeroll:  Anyway... I'm giving my cookies to my friend, who will take them to his family in CT.. His elderly Mom won't be making any cookies... and to my daughter and will bring some to work... I will probably freeze some to bring to my sister in laws for Christmas as well.

This actually reminds me: My neighbor came over a few years ago with a "thank you" gift: a dozen cider donuts.  Mind you, there are only two of us in the house, and we do not eat that kind of food. As she left, I said to DH, "I am throwing them out.", and I put them in the garbage. He said, "no, bring them to work tomorrow."  So, I took them out of the garbage and placed them out of sight and smell.

About an hour later, my neighbor shows up again at the kitchen door and says: "You know, I gave you the wrong package, this one is meant for you. Can I have the donuts back?"  I was so glad they were not in the garbage.  She would have seen where I had "stored" them.

I know I have trouble resisting treats when they are in my house, so I often prevent them from being there too.  I will take a serving (or maybe two) and then either freeze or toss the rest.  If I have someone else to give it to, great.

Otherwise I eat too much and just feel bad about myself later.     I too have gotten over the guilt of not keeping all the goodies/treats that I somehow end up with.  I appreciate the gift, but I don't need to consume the whole thing to do so.
