it's more important that you take them in a consistent manner, every day.  so, get up and take the pill immediately.  take your allergy meds then, too, if that's when you can remember to take them.  and do that every day.  don't forget to take them and then do it 4 hours later.

i wake up, take my pill, go down to the kitchen and have a glass of water and a slice of toast.  i don't wait an hour to eat, because i can't.  if i wait an hour to eat, i won't have a chance to eat until lunch (and possibly not until supper) and the low-blood-sugar-monster is a terrible monster.  and if i wait to take my pill, i won't take it.  'cause my brain is not accustomed to taking pills at any time other than in the morning.

Yes, I know that is right!!  I am good about it in the AM, first thing when I get up.  That way I can have something (coffee with milk, typically) when I get to work an hour or so later.  It's just the 2nd go round of pills that is throwing me for a loop.  I need to probalby just put a reminder in my calendar so it pops up at 11:00.   And yes, the low blood sugar monster sucks.  I get cranky.

I'm another low-body temper, if I get up to 97-98 I'm really sick.  I wonder what this means about us?

Courtney, I don't know much about thyroid meds, but I do know dosage can be tricky.  Witchy is wise.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

Not the same medication, but I set my watch alarm so that I remember to take my birth control at the same time every day.  It is dorky, but it works for me.  We don't want any ducklings just yet!

No idea :D

It's a T3 ER 5MCG cap, which I take 2 of in the AM and 2 before lunch.

I don't know much about how it's supposed to work, TBH.

Yeah that's me.  When I'm fat, thyroid tests go off.  When I'm thin they're ok.

ah, you're on liothyronine.  it has a shorter half life than levothyroxine.  call your doctor if you aren't feeling any better - 6 weeks is too long to wait.

i still can't figure out why she has you taking several doses of 5mcg per day.  that makes no sense to me.  but whatever.  i ain't no doctah.

I need to schedule my follow up.  I'm also supposed to do this yeast test, where I spit in a vial 4 times a day to see if I'm extra yeasty (I have the symptoms), but you can't have caffiene, and there are these weird rules around when to spit and stuff.  So I don't want to be doing this craziness at work, and on the weekends, I keep forgetting.  But I'll follow up with her on the thyroid stuff now.

With all due respect to you and your Dr the systemic candida stuff is not actually backed up by any real scientific evidence.

I've read a variety of things about it and am a bit wary myself.  But (TMI coming) I get yeast infections way too much if I'm not very, very careful (and sometimes even when I am), so it's something that I've wondered about for a while.  I mean, not everyone gets these things 3-4 x a year, and FOR SURE every time they take antibiotics, so something has to be off somewhere.  Where?  I don't know.  :D  I've learned how to avoid them for the most part, but all it takes is sitting around too long in damp workout clothes.  Gross, I know.

Your normal bacterial flora is likely more sensitive to things like antibiotics than other peoples. Daily probiotics could possibly help.

They are now discovering that a lot of food intolerances and digestive issues are likely linked to a bacterial flora issue but there isn't enough data yet for any real "cures" to be suggested. Chrones disease has long been linked to microbial flora and resulting inflammation
