I am hosed on this food thing right now.  Family reunion this past weekend (although I held steady).  Of course I am down from yesterday.  But I have dinner plans every night this week.   My favorite pizza place tonight.  A Mexican place Thursday (at least I don't like their food that much, but their margaritas are amazing!)  Someplace else Friday.

I had a glass of chocolate milk after my run this morning.  PB&J, the last of the cheetos, and rice pudding coming up for lunch.
Ellen stole my joy and I want it back!

So sorry to hear about your friend, MM.

Meri, if I have to do badwater to maintain, I'm gonna get fat.

I spent a week with a stomach virus, eating nothing but bread and bananas.   Weighed in at the doc's, weigh exactly what I did pre-accident.   So with the help of a stomach bug, I haven't gained weight.  YAY!   Of course I spent all last week overeating to make up for it, so I may be up a pound or two.

So now it's back to brass tacks.  Now that I only have a slight limp, I have no excuse not to get back to my prior level of fitness.   I'm cutting down on sugar/starches, two slices of bread per day, the rest veg and protein.   I'm putting the zumba disc into the wii tonight and doing as much as I can.  No more excuses!    I still have 20 pounds to lose, and would like them off by Thanksgiving.  That's 17 weeks, so only a little more than a pound a week.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

MoS-- i think the weight training, etc you have been doing is a good way to get more lean.

I went to the mall today to pick up something and to get lunch. Got a salad, was almost tempted by the veggie burritos, but a salad was fine. With croutons ;) I go to the mall once every 5 years, LOL.

Eeek...I get married in 12 days. We are good with the planning but Antag leaving town this weekend throws a bit of a wrench in our plans. Plus I can tell he is stressed and upset and thus we are reacting by eating crap.

My eating went to crap the two weeks before my wedding, and I didn't have anything extra to deal with besides wedding stuff.  I am sorry you guys are dealing with loss at this time.

Life happens, and in the end you'll enjoy the day no matter what. 12 days is not enough time to do serious damage, so I'd just try to control as much as possible under the circumstances.

I have only been to the mall once in the 3 years I have lived here. When my sister, who loves to shop, came to visit.  I get very bad stress thinking about going there...

That's King of Prussia that you're talking about, right?  it's huge!  I was in Philly for a conference when I was pregnant with my DD and the first night I stayed by the airport, hit KOP, then headed downtown.  I  :heartbeat: Philly.

I've been lurking but have really lost the mojo since getting back from the beach, followed immediately by time of month blahs.  I haven't ran in far too long and even though I know it will make me feel better I'd rather curl up and nap.  Eating sucks - plain & simple.

I need someone/something to kick my ass back into gear.

I haven't been around much either. Things are getting a little crazy for me, so not sure how often I can pop in over the next couple of weeks.

I've still been walking a lot. My diet is alright. Not as strict as it was a while back, but still cutting out breads/refined carbs and sugar on most days. I think those are the changes in my eating habits where I see a significant difference in my weight and how I feel overall. So I'm sticking to that.

MM I can't believe your wedding is so soon!! Don't worry about eating crap. 12 days is nothing. Just keep hydrated and please remember to eat on your wedding day.

I made the most ridiculous breakfast this morning.

Smoothies never really fill me up unless I add a serving of rolled oats.   So today I made a smoothie with a cup of plain greek yogurt, frozen strawberries, fresh blueberries, a scoop of vanilla protein powder, splash of milk and blended it for a long time so the volume was enormous even though it was only about 300 calories.  Then I poured it into a big bowl and added a cup of plain Kashi GoLean and a handful of nuts and ate it like a gigantic bowl of cereal.   Just over 500 calories or so.

Ohmygawd that was so satisfying!

But why is it ridiculous? If it works, it works!

It just seemed like a lot of steps for early in the morning.   :D    And the final bowl of cereal looked so enormous!   I think that was my favorite part.

That sounds delicious, Caito.

I did a short Zumba routine last night.  My plan is to gradually work up to doing whole-hour workouts again.

I haven't been very hungry all week so it's been fairly easy to stay on track, until today when I can't stop thinking about food.  Sigh.  Gotta keep my eyes on the goal and stick with it.

Good job on the zumba, Mini :)  Getting back in the swing of things is so hard, for some reason!

I am so freakin' sore.  This is the worst I've ever been.  On Monday, I worked out with one of the guys here, and we did a great workout.  Lots of stuff we normally do, and we did 8 sets of 8 reps on stuff like lunges, squats, skater lunges, curls, pushups, mikeys, etc.   But we did these hamgstring things, and OMG the back of my legs hurt to the touch.  Yesterday I thought I'd seriously injured my right hamstring.  Spinning this moring seemed to help a bit, but every time I get up I want to cry a little bit.  And on top of the hamstring stuff, we also did a bunch of calf raises, which means that then entire backside of my leg is sore.

I guess it's good, but holy shit I'm ready to not be sore.  We lift again tomorrow.   :fingers:

I am having odd queasiness issues. I was hungry this morning, then ate an egg sandwich but didn't finish it because I was starting to feel a bit icky.

Then hungry again at lunch, ate two rolls (with nothing because I discovered my jam had gone moldy) and now again with the queasiness.

AND! I had an unfortunate incident involving a cherry during lunch. Suffice it to say I have a big cherry stain on the thigh on the back of my pants. And I like these pants!  And it'll probably never come out. And I'm on my way out to a customer's house, heh.  :wah:

Qdoba naked salad for lunch.  Mmmm.

I wanted about an entire bottle of wine, but that is probably bad form during the work day.  :D
