Mmm, free cake.  Nice will power there Meri!

We did story time at the book store with the kids this morning.  Once we got home they said they were ready for a nap, except now I can hear them giggling & playing with each other, jumping in their beds.  Not napping but happy.  Guess I'll give them a bit longer and then get them back up.  I think we'll go on a walk/hike this afternoon at the State Park to see if they will walk or want to be carried.

Food has been good so far today, oatmeal & berries.  BBQ is in the crockpot for later.  Planning for a long run tomorrow and looking forward to it....even after more discussions with DH being concerned I'm taking the running too serious.  Blah.  He'll get over it.

My house seems to be a disaster area for the majority of the time lately and it drives me insane.  Yet, I would much rather do other things than clean something that will need to be immediately cleaned again within 20 minutes.   :eyeroll:

oh no, meri.  what happened?

So DD's birthday party was a huge success, lots of fun.  And I didn't touch the cake, either  I ate a few raw veggies and one slice of pizza and that's it.

hi.
i don't participate in this thread, as a general rule...  but i know a lot of you were talking about flattering swimsuits some time back.  i bought this suit, today:

badgley mischka...  it is incredibly comfortable, and very flattering.  just fyi.

it's fairly pricey, but it is made in the usa - if that's an issue for you.

Witchy, I just got the coverup dress from Nordstrom with the exact same cut on top.  Wore it to DD's b-day party for the first time today and it was fab.  It was half price and now sold out at Nordy's but maybe someone else has it?  Putting DD to bed.  Be back in a bit...

glad the party was a success and wtg avoiding cake!

DH and I got in a big fight, it was really stupid and i think he lost his marbles. I took DD out to the vegan restaurant and I tried to eat the healthiest options there- brown rice sushi and steamed veggies and stirfried veggies and a teeny piece of cake and a bowl of fruit. Hopefully DH comes to his senses, it was ridiculous and he was irate about something stupid. sigh. and my closest girlfriend is out of town :(

not sure how the day will unfold, but i am down a pound, the morning after CHINESE FOOD  :yikes: unbelievable! wahoooo! I guess i did choose wisely :) not sure i can get my long run in, hoping to get an hour on the TM before DD wakes up, then 7 miles with the jogger and then maybe a nap time run to get me as close to my planned 20-30 miles as possible (closer to that 20 i mean, was hoping for 30 miles before the big blow up yesterday at home)

Diablita, glad the pool party went well.  I bet J had a blast.
Debba, I just read the dress thread & saw your pic.  You are beautiful!
Meri, sorry about the fight.  Ugh.  Well done for making good choices though.  And down on the scale is awesome!

So DH & I ran 1.5 of trails behind the house that kicked butt.  DH stopped and I kept going to get 5 miles.  Pretty disappointed since I was hoping for at least 10.  Just not feeling it though.  I may try more later during nap time.  Hoping to spend the day outside since the weather will be great.

Bolloxd- some days you just don't feel like going the distance. 5 is nothing to be upset about though!

I got back on the TM for 5 more miles, 17 total for the day, was hoping for 20-30 for the day, but you know, plans got changed. DH has been in the bedroom with the door closed all day. It is truly lovely  :eyeroll: :argh: DD and I have had a really nice day. We did our 7 miles in the stroller, went to the playground, food shopping, at lunch on the deck, now she is napping, then we will go to the neighbor's pool, dinner, and creamery :) (if it is not raining).

Bolloxd -  :-[ and thanks! Also, you're awesome! Right now, 5 miles wouldn't happen for me.

The wedding last night was awesome. I ate fairly well, considering, but wine is a lot of points. :) I also wrenched the heck out of my ankle - there was a wet patch on the floor and I skidded and rolled my right ankle. It's sore and swollen this morning, but not too bad. I should be able to run tomorrow. :fingers:

Humph. Slept in this morning - I was all set to get up when my alarm went off, and then I flexed my foot and that ankle I twisted was like, "HAH! No you don't, crazy lady!"

It's less sore today, but still just a little too sore for a run.  >:(

I wish I had the guts to go to the gym and use the pool in the mornings, but I just don't.

It is also cold and rainy today. So odd...I think mother nature is confused and doesnt realize that it doesnt rain here this time of year.

Damn girls, there has got to be good news for you all soon.  I found three 4-leaf clovers and one 6-leaf clover this morning so I'll share any spare luck with y'all.

I'm happy with today's run, 6.1 miles on the treadmill.  Going to color my hair this evening if I get time....either blue or pink.
