so 9 minutes into my run i look down and DD was standing there  never even heard her come down, 5:47am. I took her back up and got her back to sleep, after 20 minutes, and then finished my TM jaunt for 70 minutes. whew. And was texting Debba from DD's bed :D

so the other day while i was watching Biggest Loser on the TM, there was a hulu commercial for Brita with a former contestant from TBL and it was like, drink water lose weight, and the fine print said not in those under 55. weird, huh, that over 55 drinking more water can help you lose weight, but not under 55?

Thanks, meri! I needed that! Shuffled a bit this morning, then came home and dozed off on the couch until my "normal" alarm went off. Heh.

Aaaaand, then DH was backing my car out of the garage and whacked the side passenger mirror off my car. :mad2: The post is still there, but the casing is gone and the mirror is shattered. I need a fucking drink.

Down 3 lbs from the start of the week so feeling a little less panicky! But, still a ways from my low. Did well yesterday with food. Had a late evening meeting with some friends at a diner and was able to resist the pull of grilled cheese & fries and the slices of pie that everyone else had. I stuck to herbal tea.

I'm impressed - I don't know if I'd be able to stick to herbal tea in the face of grilled cheese and fries.

Good job for getting up debba! Is this where I say the new WLC concept is totally intimidating to me?

Well, Barry is probably lurking and he's probably going to charge you $10 just for saying that. :P

Thanks, onawhim! :)

And yeah, I don't make enough money to do a WLC the Barry way!

Same here. I have no control when it comes to fries. See. Now I want fries.  :nono:

In other news, I ran 2 miles today!!!!!!!!!  I've been struggling the last few months to get my motivation back. I say I'll go, then back out because I just don't feel like it. It's an endless cycle. I know it'll help my mood, but then I'm just too sad or have no inclination to get out there in the first place. So I don't go. Then I feel worse. But today I did it!! I just decided to get out there and run to the one mile then turn around and come back. So I did.

I ate lunch at 10:30.     :argh:    At least it was a salad with chicken and some almonds.   And now I feel satisfied.

I am really struggling with trying not to eat too much because I am tapering and therefore not exercising as much and eating plenty because I have to fuel for my race in 9 days.    I want to be fueled but feel trim on race day.

Good job, Tricia! Getting out there is, for me, the hardest part by far.

Well, to be fair, we were having a gut wrenching discussion about our friend who has gone off the deepend. I spend all afternoon calling hotels trying to find her to send the police to after she started giving her pets away. So, we go to a diner thinking it will be quiet and the gd waitress keeps coming by to take orders and fill coffee and stuff. I think Iglared at her enough times that she eventually gave up on us. So by the time I could even contemplate food she was nowhere to be found and I was actually a bit glad for it because I'm not sure I could have resisted.

My comment was more pointed at the (general) recommendation to do 30-45 minutes of excercise 3 days a week.

I thought that had been debunked long ago:

That makes more sense, but a situation like that would have had me knee-deep in fried foods and ice cream sundaes, so honestly, I'm even more impressed.

great job Tricia!!! what is up with the WLC? I did not look.

Caito- you and I are running a marathon on the same day! I am doing NJ. What is your forecast? ours is 65-80, depending on where you look. As long as it is not rainy i am happy :)

RA- did you find your friend?

Mine's in Rhode Island.  Weather.com says 50-67 and sunny, but I think it's really too soon to tell.  It starts at 7:30am so I'm hoping for the 50s.

Yes. It turned out she was with another friend last night so I did not call the police. I just told her that I'm happy to help her get help if she is willing to let me, but I'm unwilling to continue to talk in circles with her. I can't do this anymore.

So I usually park really far away when I go to Costco, just so I can walk a bit more. So yesterday I had the cart loaded and I actually had to work to get it up a slight hill in the parking lot. Then I loaded about 30 gallons of milk into the car. I'm sore today!

Felt good. Maybe I'll actually run tomorrow.

I loved your pic on FB about that.  :D  RAWR!!
